Report of Ben’s last Season

LOL....Ben couldn't win a super bowl 10 years ago on this team....dude is not Brady, not by a light-year. He will win nothing no matter where he hypothetically goes. Just like Tomlin haters point out how Tomlin benefited from the Steelers org. so did Ben. Especially with the drafting of great wide receivers that made him look far better than he actually was, and legendary defenses to save his behind.
Ben didn't have very good offensive lines for most of his career, either. That's why he made so many fantastic plays escaping the rush.

You're not the other guy who made the same exact comment in last Sunday's game thread I think he's called Wig. Do you guys have some kind of Borg hive mind where you are incapable of having your own thoughts? That's rhetorical as I know what it is. Almost everyone who is a Steelers fan will criticize any player they want except for Ben with no angry blowback, but say something about 7 and the nuthuggers lose their mind. He is open to criticism just like every other player no matter what the football fascists believe.
Lol say something about Troy or lambert and see the hell brought down upon you.

So did Fran Tarkenton...what did it get him? At least and I repeat: Ben like Tomlin and unlike Tarkenton had/has the benefit of playing for a great organization so there were some results. And like Tomlin it made him look better than he is. I get it, all the man-children love him running and shaking guys off while waiting for a receiver to come super obviously open cause it's really cool, but that is cancelled by all the boneheaded decisions in big games and the lack of great all around teams to compensate for his deficiencies. As much as I can't stand Tom Brady...Ben is no Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers.

It takes more than a QB in an offense that has a lot of moving parts, or is more run heavy. AB sends his regards and also asks if you want to kiss his Super Bowl ring he won while not catching passes from 7..........................................
Yeah, how many yard he have that season. Or how many this season? AB hasn’t sniffed a thousand since leaving Ben. Thank you for proving my point.

Troy was criticized on this board years ago for not attending Steeler events and Lambert who most on this board I'm sure never actually watched him play was great sideline to sideline on the run plays, but Ham made more big plays when they were needed.

No, actually thank you for proving mine about stats.

Are you retarded?
No, but I'm starting to think you are. Here let me break it down since you like stats: SB rings for AB
0 Big Ben
1 Tom Brady
That the stats show he had 1,000 yards season with Ben speak about the offense and YAC. The QB has nothing to do with YAC other than ball placement. AB is not the primary receiver on the Bucs. What were you saying about retardation again?

Especially with the drafting of great wide receivers that made him look far better than he actually was, and legendary defenses to save his behind. Dude did nothing in first SB...SB 43 up until Arizona took the lead his offense had scored 13 points against a pathetic 9-7 Cardinals team with a weak defense. On the game winning drive it was the Santonio Holmes show including the first catch that Holmes took off his forearm and ending with the end zone catch. " But,...but, Ben threw it...! Yeah, so what? There was nothing special about that throw that many college and NFL QBs could make, it was the catch that was incredible.

I am not a Ben hater, dude has been a warrior for years, but he was what he was, and that was a very flawed QB that Todd Haley helped preserve. I said after SB 45 and even on this message board " We will never win another SB with Ben at QB." Just call me Nostradamus.

Let the new era begin.

The likes of Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace
Thank you. These people can't understand that Ben is not God and he can be criticized. I loved watching him play but halfway through his career it became clear we were winning nothing with him unless the team conditions were overwhelmingly in his favor, and they never were after 43. If not for a James Harrison pick 6 we are sitting here debating if the one ring he does own(SB40) he deserves.

I think he was actually a better QB in the second half of his career in Haley's system. He was more disciplined and accurate from the pocket, and did not depend on the scramble throws as much.

There was a point during the 2014-2017 period where one basically expected 300+yds and 3+TDs from Ben each week.

Unfortunately, the whole "Killer B" era was wasted by bad secondary play on defense.

Ron, I think he hangs in Pittsburgh for a little while, Kids & school thing. Where does he move to when he leaves..... back to his home town?
Wait, What! why would he leave the area. he loves Pittsburgh. I just don't see him leaving Pittsburgh. he will split his time in Pitts and his Lake front home in Georgia. I can also see him getting into coaching once his kids start playing sports. whether it's Pee Wee, High School or hell even Basketball.
He cut ties with his hometown and his dad and step-mom moved to Pittsburgh. My guess (not that I care) is that he'll go to GA permanently or somewhere warm with no income tax like FL. His wife is from Lawrence County and there's a lot of places with a lot of land up there and some pretty nice places to put a house. His kids are young enough that changing schools shouldn't matter. Upside to staying is that he lives in Sewickley Heights where there is a golf course and the local gendarmes are used to wealthy and celebrity residents and take appropriate security measures. I'm told that no one in Sewickley Heights has a street address, rather the police and Post Office simply know where everyone lives. If you should happen to wander down the wrong road in a non-European car worth less than $100,000 there will be a police cruiser following you shortly.

How many times do you have to mention the cheater Brady? If you are a Pats/bucs fan than just admit it

It got Tarkenton a bust in the Hall of Fame. Just like it will get Ben.

"Man-children love"? What the **** are you talking about? Ben's ability to make plays downfield while under pressure was the hallmark of his career. You didn't enjoy it when he was making those types of plays? Bullshit.

No **** he isn't Brady...who is? And Aaron Rodgers has one Super Bowl win less than Ben does -- maybe it's because he plays for such a ****** organization in Green Bay.

Maybe Ben will go to Tampa Bay and stand there untouched looking for receivers on his way to another ring.
Brady would not have been so great behind the Steelers' line all these years.

On a related note, I found this factoid the other day when looking for something else.
Marty Schottenheimer is the only eligible coach with over 200 wins who is not in the HOF, due probably to his post-season win percentage of about .240.
If Shades wants to keep his legacy intact he should retire soon before his playoff record gets any worse. For sure it isn't going to get any better.
Back in the day we used to call Cowher "Marty Jr." It seems the real Marty Jr. is Shades. Good regular season record, post-season not so much.

Tomlin has the ring, though

If Marty just got to a Super Bowl, he'd probably be in the HOF.

Some of the comments on here about Ben not being good and being the reason we haven't won a SB since 43 are pure comedy gold or just plain stupidity. I haven't quite figured it out. He is the best QB we ever had - yes, even better than Bradshaw. He is arguably one of the top 20 QB's to ever play the game and definitely top 10 and maybe top 5 ever at extending plays and making something out of nothing. We haven't won more SB's because of poor coaching, not because of Ben. Put the ball in Ben's hands and let him call the plays and he could play back in the day. Eliminating the no-huddle this year was just pure stupidity by Canada and by Tomlin for letting him do it. Now, they are trying to get it going again but it's too late. They don't have enough plays to call. Not Ben's fault.

I think BB is done. Done with the Steelers not the nfl. Now I have no idea about contract. I think he has **** left in the tank. I think with a quality offense line he would excel. Certainly not old school been but he still is the field general and can sling it.

So I think what teams have a great offensive line and a run game and questionable QB. Unfortunately, there is two in our division with CLV and BAL. I also see the TEN and the best O line Phila.

I hope he doesn’t but more and more I’m seeing him pissed at MT and the coaching staff. He might try and one more time.

It sucks. All we had to do this year was draft and get FA line. Period. Let everything else be what it is. Protect Ben.

I think Ben is fed up with the me first immature ******** that dominate this roster.

Yes. Only other time I've seen him show up coaches like this was with Haley. Maybe it's a power play to get Canada gone, I fear the front office is ready to move on from Ben tho.

Tomlin will be massively exposed for a being a mediocre coach at best once Ben is gone

Thank God. I hope this is true and he's not playing Brett Favre games again like when he forced the team to draft Rudolph.
Weren't you supposed to go get laid?

Especially with the drafting of great wide receivers that made him look far better than he actually was...
Ya, those other receivers were WAY better when they played for other teams.
****, even Brown hasn't been as dominant statistically with your "Jesus" throwing to him.
