Sorry, but you're nuts if you think the players don't respect Tomlin. No it really doesn't. Players have to RESPECT their HC not like their HC.

Fair enough, I should've qualified my statement better. I was referring to people bitching about the topic in general (Tomlin should be fired) being discussed. I apologize for lumping you in. And I agree, I don't think Tomlin supporters don't want the Steelers to win a lwoB repuS, that's an unfair statement. In my opinion though, there are some fans who are putting one man (Tomlin) above the good of the team, though they don't realize it. They are blinded by loyalty to him, and refuse to see his glaring faults.

Sorry, but that is just plain asinine. There are plenty of coaches, coordinators, and/or position coaches that could do equal to what Tomlin has done with the talent he has available. Tomlin has done less with more talent than probably any NFL coach.
Sure, lets waste the last 3 years of his career the way we have the past 9.
You're forgetting that, by all accounts, Tomlin is very well-liked by the players.
That counts for a lot.
But he is on double-not-so-secret probation.
Which players? A few leaders took indirect shots at him. Tomlin probably burned 20-23 guys who voted to stand for the Anthem. Never mix Politics with football.
The players themselves decided to stay in the tunnel. But keep throwing around revisionist history with reckless abandon.
Now youre just talkin nonsensical BS now. Next you will tell us YOU can do a better job than Tomlin.
You think just because you have talent at key positions it should net a title ? Anthony Lynn, Mike McCoy, Norv Turner and Marty all had Rivers, Gates, and a couple had LT and no title came in SD. Shula had Marino all those years, with a fine receiving core. How many SBs did he win with the talent ?
Trivia question--How many super bowls were won by coaches in their first 2 seasons with no previous HC experience ? Answer- 1 ..whom was it ? Mike Tomlin
Theres been TWO repuS lwoB participations in those 9 years. Want him to give em back ?
First off, our offense has MORE talent than New England's. Hooide hired McDaniels. Tomlin hired Todd Haley. How long does it take you to choose between the two?
Secondarily, a good OC is not calling a 4th, and one wide run vs. a fast defense, nor is a good head coach going to give them field position on a very early onside kick. The coaching is a disgrace.
Lastly. Cowher beat Hoodie in the playoffs. You don't know what Cowher would do if Mr. Rooney were on the line asking him to lead the team back to the super bowl. A 13-3 team with cap space and Ben for three more years?!. Perhaps too much to refuse. Not to mention it would take Gruden like money ( 10 million a season ) . In my life experiences, what people say can quickly be contradicted once enough money is involved.
OMG...where are you getting your information from?
“Some guys wanted to take a knee, guys wanted to stand,” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. “We said whatever we do, we need to make sure we’re unified as one group because that’s what we’re about, and that’s what this should be about is staying together as one unit and one group and one brotherhood, things like that.
“So rather than have some guys kneel and some guys stand, the conclusion was made kind of by everybody that the best thing to do was just to stay in the locker room or in the tunnel, if you will.”

LOL, put words in peoples mouths much? Your bullshit nonsense that no other coach could ever be better than Tomlin is pure unadulterated BULLSHIT
No other team has had the talent on both sides of the football that the Steelers have had the last 9 years and have had less to show for it.
LMAO, Tomlin was handed a SB winning team from 1 year prior...Grimm or Whiz would have the same SB success as Tomlin. Congrats, the more Tomlin gets involved the worse we get. What a ******* regular season record though, can we get a participation trophy for having great regular seasons?
Then why do you feel the need to ***** about it a hundred times in each of the three hundred threads? DON'T READ THEM, or at least DON'T RESPOND if you're so upset about it. Bottom line is, this is the same **** every single year with this dumbass, and if some of us fans want to ***** about it, we will. Get over it.
10 Years since the last one despite being favored or more talented almost every year. Obviously keeping Tomlin is more important that winning a SB or finding a coach that can.![]()

It isn't going to happen. But I do think both coordinators will go.
Yeah, he's underachieved, the team has underachieved. But I see the issues multi-faceted, not a root derivative of the fact Mike Tomlin is the head coach. Not sure what other head coach would have gotten us over the hump, with these same coordinators and coaches in place. I think Bell's injury last year in AFCC had more to do with that loss to Pats than the fact Tomlin was the head coach. Who knows how we play the Jags with Shazier out there? Just saying. I agree he needs to do a better job taking charge and exercising more control and discipline over players and coaches. So yes, I'd like to see him be a better leader. But I can't accept the fact he's the root of all our problems and the reason we haven't won a SB since the last one, which we won of course with Mike Tomlin coaching the team.
Cowher went to a bunch of AFCC games with superiors teams and lost numerous times. Fans wanted him out. The Rooneys kept him. Extended his contract(s). Guess what. He eventually did win one SB.
Yeah but you know as well as I Tomlin isn't going anywhere.
So let's start some other mental masturbation threads for Coach:
- If the Rooney's sold the team, name five prospective investors you would like to see as new owners
- If Heinz Field was demolished, list five stadium designs you would rather see built to replace it
- If the Steelers got rid of their black & gold color scheme, list five color combinations you would rather have
- If the league decided to use a different type of game ball, list five shapes and sizes of balls you would use instead of a football
- If football wasn't played on grass/artifical turf, list five types of surfaces you'd like to see as an alternative (water is an acceptable choice)
- If players weren't allowed to use their hands, name five other appendages you'd like to see them use
