Joey Porter Arrested

While im sure there are exceptions... the cops who off duty bounce or work down the south side seem to be very very shady at best... every story ive ever heard bout them have bad morals tied to it... frankly id ban them from moonlighting... its a conflict of interest...

Any defense lawyer worth his weight will bring this "officers" credibility into question, get a few witness accounts that have already been made public and get Peezeys charges reduced to a simple misdemeanor drunk & disorderly. Fortunately he wasn't behind the wheel of a vehicle, they would have stomped his guts out on that one. After that his relationship with the Steelers is between Dan & Art the Deuce Rooney and Joey Porter. Even the players and coaches won't comment because it's none of their business.
Peezey probably shouldn't have been down on the South Side trying to get into a sheet hole like "the Flats" but if he is getting a raw deal from a jagoff doorman and an "officer" with a bad reputation Porter deserves justice too IMHO.

I'm sure Peezy has the means to defend himself in the court of law. ($$$) My question is how many others, not as fiscally fit, have been involved with this "BAD" cops doings. Joey will get this to a small misdemeanor and be back coaching very soon. I'd like KEVIN GREEN to show up in the mean time, possible a permanent coach.

I doubt he gets fired based on whats out there now. They're probably just trying to dodge the ire of the league given the suspensions of Bryant, Bell & practice squad player K. Williams. No reason to give the shield ammo to come in and fine the team for something that likely won't be resolved for a while.

He coaches the ILBs. Tomlin said Butler would be excited to coach the OLBs cause as you get promoted higher as a coach you don't get to be as hands on with the individual groups like you used to. Said covering for Porter if they have too won't be problematic

and there is a how much at this point do they need to be coached up? The O and D coordinators can tweak and make game adjustments when needed..
 
If they did get rid of Peezy, I would prefer it to be performance based.

As the OLBer and ILBer and Secondary area of the team for a while looked like hot garbage.

But they all have improved, moving forward hopefully enough not to be a liability

Benching Jarvis, seemed to light the bulb to a certain degree... now we wait.

And hopefully good things. It has been a while since back to back playoff wins.

I am hoping that is on our doorstep again.

It does seem that the cop who arrested him has a history of ethics issues, lying, and threatening other people to lie.

He was then picked up by the Patriots to play outside linebacker this weekend...

The citizens' review board is saying they investigated and found no wrong doing by the police officer(s). Joey NEVER filled a complaint with anyone. I think Joey wants to cooperate and pay and get this over with. LOW profile like ending.
