Bryant 4 game suspension?

What these guys do don't make me ****. Seriously this is my take on all players..see you on Sundays. They are regular human beings who do dumb **** like every other human being. Getting all bent out of shape over someone else's life is a waste of time. He has to live with his mistakes like I have to live with mine.. I do not care one bit what these guys do off the field. It sucks his actions are going to affect the team on Sundays but someone else is just going to have to step up..

Oh yeah, where I work all the workers are randomly drug tested but the office people aren't. At a prior job I hung out afterwork with the majority of employees, particularly mgmt. and 85% of them toked up. maybe more than that... I am desensitized to it... according to a dealer I knew its way way more widespread than people realize. If you don't do it, and I don't, you are in the minority in this country.

I quit smoking weed when I was 19, mostly because I couldn't afford it. Now I'm 54 and still can't afford it.

Even if they legalize it the nfl can call it a banned substance given that the players are idealized by kids. If i were the nfl i would prohibit it even if it were legal everywhere. And this coming from a seldon weed smoker, but I'm not a public figure nor I'm tested on my work

But alcohol is alright? Last I looked alcohol ruins way more lives than pot.. The reason pot is illegal is because pharmaceutical companies want it that way.

Marijuana usage is widespread in this country and not just young people. Theres quite a few users here at SN.....I don't use myself but where I used to work, the company pulled a random company wide drug test. I **** you not, id say that at least 1/3 of the corporate office tested dirty...some for coke, most for weed.....and it went all the way to management (who tested dirty). I knew this because I had to deactivate users network and vpn access. This was, again, a corporate headquarters for a well known company. Nobody saw that test coming and it netted a shitload of professionals. Weed is very very common in America...corporate America.
I probably ring anywhere from 600 - 1000 sales a night (4 hours). Its not kids who have the money to spend on the paraphernalia. Its grown folks with grown folks money. Kids buy Swishers.

what a dumb ****. what the hell is it with wide receivers? flakes and stoners. Well that was one expensive *** joint! Of course being he got suspended means he's popped more than this one time..idiot

If more folks blew trees than pounded beers, less fights, less dui auto fatalities, more *******, BO wouldn't be in office. Etc.

Sounds like a pretty busy 4 hours lol!

Not really a few vaporizers, pipes and glass pieces all add up pretty quick.

This is true. Our company's sales force hasnt had a single random piss test since I've worked there (almost 6 yrs now). But, probably 90% of us partake at least once a month, some people daily I'd imagine. I enjoy it on the weekends when I can

He is a GROWN man with a college education. If he has failed multiple tests, he is a dumb ***. I was his age, and I can tell you that I would never have failed multiple drug tests, if I had the chance to make millions. I started my business at the age of 24. I call it like it is, and he DOES NOT make more money than I do being that he is a 4th round pick. It looks like he never will, if he keeps this **** up...

Agree 100%. This ******* extended childhood **** is a joke. Men are grown at 18. Anyone who is old enough to take up arms in the defense of his country is an adult. 100 years ago, you were expected to have a wife by 18, with kids soon to follow. Now we have 30+ year old men living with mom and dad, and still going out to the club every weekend. "Oh, he's just a kid". Go commit a crime at 18, and you'll quickly find out that you're an adult. When we start demanding adult behavior from adults, we'll begin to receive it.

and when did I say alcohol was alright? you are barking at the wrong tree, so read first, then think, finally reply

I agree with this. Sports should be a way to escape from the **** that goes on around us every day. Some days you can turn on SportsCenter and not see highlight for the first 20 minutes or longer. Instead you see who beat their wife or who tested dirty or who has come out as gay, etc.
Anymore, I only watch the games. What these clowns do to ruin their lives or the lives of others doesn't matter to me.

My intent was that if you ban pot, I feel you have no choice but to ban alcohol as well. That would never happen because who pays for all the commercials.

I'd be stoned off my *** right now if the **** didn't make me so paranoid.

And to think if this could've happened just a couple days sooner we could've had Reggie Wayne filling in a couple games until he got back. Eh, oh well hope DHB's been working on his hands.

Whenever this **** happens the legalize it crowd chimes in with their 'facts."

The only fact important for these guys right now is that it is not permitted by the organization they work for, the NFL. Whether it should be is a whole other discussion that maybe ought to be had. They can legalize it in every state, but companies still have the right to have a policy in which their employees are not allowed to use it. It is that simple.

Remember people it is not really a drug test, rather, it is an intelligence test.

If indeed it is for mary jane, Bryant would have to have failed his 4th test since Sept '14. The fact we didn't hear about it is because the first 3 do not require a suspension. Maybe that's why we took Coates?

Marijuana discipline: The punishment for a positive test is also changing. As is the case now, a first-time offense lands the player in the substance abuse program without a suspension. The primary difference is the punishment for a second positive test: simply a two-game fine. Each additional violation receives the following progressive discipline: four-game fine, four-game suspension, 10-game suspension. A player can therefore test positive for marijuana three times without getting suspended.

Did not know this as the new rule. This does make his suspension all the more disturbing. There is a pattern that has already developed that he somehow needs to stop now. He may have an addiction.

Creatine is legal too and you can run down to GNC to buy it but I don't think pro athletes in any sport are allowed to use it any more.

In the immortal words of SteelerSask........

If there is a dumbass detector, I think this team should buy one because their dumbass cupboard is plum full.

I couldn't have said it any better !

The difference is that when it comes to the CBA bargaining, the union isnt going to hold out to get creatine use ok'd by the league... id guess the players would make some serious consessions to get the pot okd
