If the Steelers lose to the Browns this week, the Steelers will be 4-6. The sun will come up the next day, and your life really will not be much different.
I think I will be hung over bad. So, I guess your right normal day.

If we lose this week then I'm done watching Tomlin ruin our team. He should also resign even if we do win. Bringing Haley in from KC where his record was the worst untill he left is a perfect example of what he's done. Our "D" blows goats too. So we suck on both sides of the ball.

I don't think they'll fire him under any circumstances, we had a pretty good record last year despite injuries, but like I said elsewhere I would absolutely not give him a contract extension and make him play for his next one to light a fire under his ***. I don't know when his contract expires but hell, I'd tell him tomorrow that we're not extending you.

I never get fans that are happy with mediocre. Those usually are ones that are afraid of getting a worse coach, so let us keep the mediocre coach even if it means not sniffing another SB in his tenure.
Write this down and quote me on it, Steelers will not win another SB under Tomlin.
Those two Super Bowl appearances were a long time ago. How are Tomlin's playoff results looking for the last five years?
A loss to the Browns means kiss the playoffs goodbye.
If we lose to the lowly Browns with once again questionable coaching, I honestly believe the Rooney's will start to put some feelers out there quietly for 2017.
The old Warren Zevon song, Lawyers, Guns, and Money comes to mind. The &hit has hit the fan.
You must be a spoiled Steeler fan, man. Six years without a SB appearance.. were you calling for Nolls head in 86? Cowher went 10 years in between SB appearances. For **** sake some teams never go to the SB.
It's actually six yrsSpoiled? Nah. Just disappointed that my favorite team, with a franchise quarterback in or near his prime, has only managed to win one playoff game in five years. And that one victory was snatched from the jaws of defeat, thanks to a lack of discipline from a franchise that hasn't won a postseason game itself in over 25 years. Two of those seasons, the Steelers didn't even qualify for the playoffs. The other two were one-and-done, including a ridiculous loss (after a 12-win regular season) to the 8-8 Broncos led by Tim Tebow.
Just think about that for a second...Timothy Richard Tebow has as many playoff wins as the Steelers do in the last five years -- and he's been out of the league since 2012. But for ****'s sake, I should just be happy about one last-second playoff win versus AJ McCarron and the hapless Bengals, because Chuck Noll and Bill Cowher had some ****** seasons with also-ran quarterbacks, and some teams I couldn't care less about never go to the big game.
Right.
As others have alluded to, some folks need to lower their expectations and then life will be good. This is a .500 team who may or may not sneak into the playoffs only to be 1 and done. No stress here.
There's no way the Rooney's ever fire Tomlin. He is black they are liberal end of story.
I think you just pointed out the reason for a lot of the Tomlin criticism from the start, regardless of his performance. Not nice to see but not really unusual or unexpected, and probably won't go away. He and McCarthy are both in avid football towns, have very similar records, started with decent teams and franchise QB's and I'd bet that until this year the fan criticism of Tomlin has been higher.

Right.
Blaming race is too easy and also a cop out. You can easily look at his game plans, preparation, clock management, in-game adjustments, decision making, player development...etc to determine he is under achieving as a head coach. Race has nothing to do with it. But it is really easy to call every person that doesn't approve of him racist instead.

I don't call every person who disapproves of him a racist by any means. I just say the unrelenting disapproval by some seems unwarranted in view of his record.
