Tomlin sucks thread 11/6/16

Yes, and Tomlin's ****** defense gave up 80 yards and a TD in 42 seconds. With James Harrison riding the pine on the game winning drive. Close only counts in Horseshoes, hand grenades, and **** flinging. :smile-new:

Not the point. The point is, not one of you would be spouting Tomlins praises at being 5-5 following a non playoff season and achieving that 5-5 by not beating any winning teams.

When you DO compare the two teams vs Dallas who would you say played the better game?

Dallas, they got the W, that is all that matters.

What in the hell does your analogy have to do with Tomlin or anything that I have said? I never said one word about Hairball. So if you are trying to make a point about that then you are talking to the wrong person.

I don't have a preconceived opinion other than the people here don't know as much as they think they do. The love fest for the Harbaugh s is the only proof you need for that.

Are you triggered? Do you need a safe space because the word "harbaugh" was uttered on this board?

One of them as so great, his team couldn't wait to get rid of him. The minute bowman, iupati and fuckcantremembertheotherLBname (drafted by prior coach) his team goes .500 and his FO can't get rid of his face fast enough.

Look at the other's record this year and tell me you'd be happy with that. Not one win against a team with a winning record with a loss to the jests. 2 of their 5 wins against the 0-10 Browns and if I'm not mistaken, had to come from behind to win one of those. ****** Tomlin had the Steelers with 45 seconds of beating a 7-1 team. JH team "produced" 17 pts. You good with that?

that was the riff between the owner and him.... it doesn't go into how the team itself felt about him. You would have to ask them that.

Far as the other they are in rebuilding mode, and still are a tiebreaker division leader. And that is with a overrated QB, a father time WR whose best days are over, and as a rebuilding team he has little else worth ****.

Am I good with that coach? I am ok with him, I think he is winning with less than the Steelers....but would rather have his brother.

The Ravens haven't beat a team with a winning record yet this season.

Beat the Steelers and own the tiebreaker, with arguably less stars than the Steelers. For a team that has a look of a rebuilding....perhaps not too bad.

Living near Baltimore, I get to hear all day about how bad of a coach Harbaugh is. Fans here want him gone for all the reasons Steeler fans want Tomlin gone.

The only valid argument is Tomlin has yet to finish a season below .500. After his SB loss, he has put nothing but an underachieving team on the field each season since with only 1 playoff win to show. Hindsight, going on his 10th year with that seasonal record is both impressive from a statistical point of view and depressing from a post season point of view. If he were to be replaced, the next guy could probably be worse. Just saying...

I don't care what Harbaugh did vs Dallas, I'm just sick of seeing him turn Tomlin upside down and steal his lunch money every time we play the Rats

I made a point about Hairball and you responded....

just sick of the ridiculous bullshit people continue to spew about both of those **** heads. I keep hearing this is a discussion board, so.....

you don't keep mediocrity because you are afraid something might be worse.

you are just selling the team short if you do that................

The Rooneys will not fire him. They will stick with him. He's not going anywhere.

BUMP, but realize this thread won't make 100+ pages due to Tomlin being to tall.

Salute the nation

For his first five years he had a lot of Cowher's players. The last two years are a more accurate reflection since it's all his team except for Ben, Deebo, Greg Warren, and last year, Heath Miller.
We are who we thought we are.

Tomlin, left to his own devices and talent evaluation, drafting prowess, game management, clock management and general football knowledge, has proved to be nothing more than a .500 coach. We are stuck with him.

STEELERS

Ben-to-Brown makes Colts look like turkeys … again

ByMark Kaboly

“Good win for us on a short week on the road,” Tomlin said. “We don’t take it for granted, we appreciate it, but it was much needed. We got contributions from a lot of guys. Really appreciate the efforts of the men tonight. It’s great to be in the clubhouse with the necessary win for the week.”

And the Steelers got the win with another heavy dose of defense and an impromptu practice session set up by the coach.

First the defense: The Steelers turned away the Colts at the 1-yard line on two consecutive drives — one late in the second quarter and the other early in the third — that put to waste drives of 10 and 19 plays. The defense also picked off backup quarterback*Scott Tolzientwice and sacked him three times.

Now, the impromptu practice: With the Steelers saddled with a short week and only having one practice on Tuesday (which was helmet-less) and a walkthrough on Wednesday, Tomlin decided to bring his team to the stadium in the early afternoon Thursday for another walkthrough — something that’s highly unusual for teams to do.

“Nah, I never did that before,” linebacker*Bud Dupree*admitted.

It must’ve had its desired effect, especially with an offense that continued to do what it has been doing against the Colts recently — anything they want to.

That's what I pretty much see. The team seems to have lost any kind of identity as well. I'm encouraged by the last two games being physical though. Just a glimpse of what used to be.

The team has lost an identity

I don't think Tomlin sucks. I don't think Tomlin is great. He is an average coach, and his teams reflect that.

Oh, the lost identify people are back! We're an offensive team trying to make splash plays on defense. That was the end to that argument last year...
