The day I would have fired CMT.

Coaches do not care about all that. It is about getting through that press conference. Because by Tuesday and Wednesday, it's on to the next opponent, and what was said at the press conference is largely forgotten. Tomlin has been saying the same crap for 18 or whatever years, and it hasn't impacted him yet. It only bothers people that listen to what he says. Coaches are like politicians. You gotta go into it knowing you are gonna hear some bullshiit.

I agree the fan base is fed up. But it's more about the results than what he says. If the results were better, no one would care what his little go to sayings were. All that being said, the highly compensated comment, even though I rarely listen to anything he says outside of injuries, rubbed me the wrong way in the moment I heard it. It's just arrogance from a guy that should have some humility and gratitude for the job based on the results since 2010.
I agree with what you said.

I’ll just add that Tomlin doesn’t care at all what the fan base or the media says about him because he works for the Rooney family and they don’t fire coaches and he knows it.

The other 99% of coaches without that level of security do half to watch what they say and worry what the fan base and media think of him in the interest of his job, even if he personally doesn’t care what those groups think of him.

He should never have been hired! From the beginning, Tomlin was a well oiled bull-******* who tried to portray himself as super intelligent. I have been around enough of those types in my life to recognize the fact that they normally spin it that way because they know jack ****! Hence, he would not have been considered! Apparently, Rooney has never run in to those types to recognize the truth behind them. Instead, he got a hard on. Besides, we all know it would have looked really bad on the Steelers if they didn't hire a black coach considering the Rooney Rule!

Fish in water --> I catch fish --> I touch fish --> I touch face --> I now grow tumors and ugly like Blitz :ROFLMAO:

Oh I get it now. Ty.
If worried about thisJust use some of that ointment, they usually keep it over by the tampons. You should be good to go!

Personally, the worst lost I remember was under Cowher - AFC Championship game in 1994 against the Chargers, who went on to be destroyed by the 49ers in SB 29. We may not have beaten the 49ers but I think we'd have made a game of it.

That one really sucked. I lived in San Diego at the time, and ran my mouth. Never have since. Just won't. Too harsh to be beaten down like that.

I was on Calling All Sports the week of that Chargers loss.

That loss sucked, but SD was better than anyone cares to give them credit for, they had the 5th ranked offense and 9th ranked defense and played a tougher schedule than we did, they beat Elway, Montana, and Marino that year.
The craziest thing about that loss was everyone always says Cowher plays turtle ball, or Martyball, but we lost a 10 point lead by being aggressive on defense.
