Once a cheater .....

I am wondering when the other 31 owners step up and say enough is enough. Until they do I won't let myself get back into all this **** again. I personally feel the Rooney's let our fan base down during the first go round. All for the betterment of the league. So **** Goodell and the other 31 owners for being spineless. Us fans deserve better.

So it just came out that the Patriots video person who was "supposed" to be doing something involving someone in the press box. It came out that the camera was on the Bengals sidelines the entire 1st quarter

Sent from my XT1585 using Steeler Nation mobile app

That's been knowledge since the story broke. That the dude filmed the sideline the entire first quarter.

As long as the GREED MACHINE is rolling forward, nothing will happen. Although you are lead to believe football is thew strongest professional sport of the group, It will have a hard time surviving a lengthy strike. The OWNERS are business men and fully understand that the PIE will sour if to much waves are made. ROGER keeps the green-backs flowing in and that, my friend, is all the owners care about. BILL BELICHICK
C, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. reports the Patriots sent a three-person video crew to record Cincinnati's sideline for "about eight minutes" in Sunday's matchup against the Browns.
Bill Belichick obviously denied any involvement on WEEI-FM hours before the organization issued an official statement on Monday night claiming the production crew for their documentary on an advanced scout didn’t know the NFL policy; that of course is the exact excuse New England's videographers were told to use if asked what they were doing during the Spygate investigation. That case settled with Belichick being fined $500,000 while Robert Kraft and the organization were hit with a $250,000 fine and loss of a first-round pick. The Deflategate investigation eight years later resulted in another lost first-round pick and four-game suspension for Tom Brady. Any guilty verdict in this most recent controversy would obviously bring down an impactful ruling. Suspensions across the board are on the table.

Ignorantia juris non excusat

Their cons are pretty weak. Pretty much, "This is the excuse offered by the film guys."

Backed wtih, "But the Bengals suck. Why would anyone try to cheat off them?"

"Do You Job" is a great cover to get footage of other teams. As Coryea said, absolutely no reason to film the Bengals sideline when filming a documentary about an advanced scout. I'm not worried about the Bengals record now, but what about the future. They have a first-year head coach and they could either get good or maybe he coaches elsewhere. Now the Patriots have intel.

New England had no choice but to try to get out ahead of this to try to put out the fire. There is zero reason to believe them. This is as slimy as it gets.

Beliscum says he has no part in this...I seem to remember a certain star QB that received a 6 game suspension where NOTHING happened. No charges filed...no damn nothing. Still, Ben got a 4 game vacation without pay.

This **** has gone on far too ******* long. Delete this ****.

The NFL stated if Belichik is involved in another episode he will be banned......it's time NFL. Do not destroy the tape. It must be viewed by the NFL fans.

"Inside a room accessible only to Belichick and a few others, they found a library of scouting material containing videotapes of opponents' signals, with detailed notes matching signals to plays for many teams going back seven seasons. Among them were handwritten diagrams of the defensive signals of the Pittsburgh Steelers, including the notes used in the January 2002 AFC Championship Game won by the Patriots 24-17. Yet almost as quickly as the tapes and notes were found, they were destroyed, on Goodell's orders: League executives stomped the tapes into pieces and shredded the papers inside a Gillette Stadium conference room."

NFL Finds 8 Minutes Of Recorded Bengals Play Calls, Hand Signals & Substitutions On Patriots Videotapes

The New England Patriots released a statement Monday night detailing exactly what happened when allegations of the team illegally filming the Cincinnati Bengals sideline during the Bengals-Browns game Sunday.

In the statement, the team explained that a contracted video crew was there to shoot a feature for an online video series called ‘Do You Job’ and was only supposed to be, and only got permission to, shoot the box in which the scout was being filmed, not the field.

The NFL obtained the footage from the production crew as part of an investigation and according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Atheltic, there is reportedly about eight minutes’ worth of the camera focused directly on the Bengals sideline that captured Cincinnati play calls, hand signals and substitutions on the tape.

Yes, ironically the guys in charge of filming a series on ‘doing your job’ did exactly the opposite of that.

The Patriots take on the Bengals next Sunday.

Life time ban executed as per 2007 punishment of spygate. It was one of the provisions of the penalties induced upon him. ENFORCE IT

I was driving out of Dallas today... some of the National shows on sxm radio shows said that their sources are claiming the league has no intention of sanctions on new england for any reason...

The radio thing always got me... there were rumors of signal stealing before spygate, the nfl was aware...but on the initial spygate reports they siezed illegal audio equipment because they were miking up d players and letting people broadcast to the qb while the play was going on...

Goodell deflected questions for a couple press conferences saying it was sent out for examination... tgen abruptly dismissed it as nothing a week or so later with no explanation of what it was or did...

So it sounds like the NFL definitely is trying to sweep it under the rug, but apparently much like deflate gate the bengals and other owners are oissed and NOT going to let it go “for the good of the game” as the Rog always tries to push...

Looks like this'll be my last season watching the NFL if this goes unpunished. Seriously.

I fully expect SWIFT JUDGEMENT like it was imposed on Myles Garrett, who was WRONG - this is NO DIFFERENT. We'll see what the breaking news is tomorrow morning...

Hindsight, but if I were the Bengals, I would have made a copy of it.

I heard they did, not sure how accurate that is though.
