Mediocre Mike and the Mavens of Mundane

There's no excuse for this. To me,it makes me think it's all rigged. Can anyone explain to me the 2 DL on the goal line? Other than to let them score.

Nobody is this incompetent. This is intent. Atleast in my eyes.

**** you coaches for calling this. Please go away.

The funniest thing is that the national guys are just now catching on, this has been going on for years and years, I've mentioned on here a million times, the playoff game vs Cleveland who had a great Oline and great running game, their first 4 offensive TD's came with us in a 2DL set, why we'd ever have only 2 DL vs a great running team is beyond me, but there we were.

One undeniable fact is that Cowher is the clear winner in the "which coach is better" debate.

Cowher has been my winner way before this 9 yr debacle.

When players like Troy said publicly the focus wasn’t football-ish and practices needed to be more professional, that was my hint……..

PLUS

Confucius Ron Burgundy has been preaching for years………… listen to him……!!!!!

The media is always years behind. They just market a narrative long gone without really following what the team is actually doing.

I stopped watching them a long time ago. They just spout off nonsense that only applied many years ago.

Yeah never really was a debate, anyone that watched both teams could see that, hell Cowher won playoff games with Neil, Kordell, Tomczak, Maddox, made a Super Bowl and 4 AFCCG's without a franchise QB, and another thing that doesn't get talked about much, is Cowher was able to over turn the roster at least 3 different times and turn them into a contending team.

That sounds like the Diver we all know, you’re back lol
I'll admit I'm wrong about some things, but there are some things I am absolutely right about as well. You see everything through the lense of Tomlin BAD! I don't. Coaches, all coaches, hate press conferences, even when things are going well. Most of their answers are just to get through that particular moment. Coachspeak. That's just a fact. But every once and a while they will say something more revealing, and those two moments were an example of that. Why don't you explain what you want him to say in a press conference, and then tell me what coach would ever say what you want him to say? But you won't because you can't, and that's why I'm right on that.

Well we have the highest paid defense in NFL history, that's not helping Tomlin either. It's funny you have ex players complaining about how bad the scheme is.
I find it hilarious when people try to pass the buck from the coaches and say players have to play, then why do any coaches get paid big money? Team constantly kill us in the middle of our defense because we have LB's always trying to cover WR's, been happening here since LeBeau left, but that's not Tomlins fault, our damn ILB should be able to run with WR's, player play uh?
No one is passing the buck. It's just true. Did Joe Greene and those great players only beat people because of Chuck Noll's great schemes, or did they beat the guy in front of them a lot? I guess when Swann was making those great, acrobatic catches, it was the coaches scheme. All am saying is that these ***** players the Steelers have love hiding behind scheme, and while yes, a lot of that is true, they also have a bunch of overpaid guys who don't make plays.

Well Joe Greene was never put in there with one other DLinemen vs 5 Olinemen. LeBeau never allowed Harrison to be double teamed and chipped like Watt is because he'd come at you with an overload or something. You're naming all time great players, when you don't have all-time great players as a coach you have to be able to use x's and o's to help your guys.

Patrick Queen just called out the scheme after the Bears game with reporters.

The problem is the Steelers had the same issues when the players were making plays. They just maked the issues. When Watt wasn’t playing like a superhero, the defense would fall apart. Tomlin still expects these old dudes to play like they are in their prime. They aren’t, and it’s one of the worst defenses in the league.

I'm a fan and love to see one-helmet players, but that is from the fan perspective. The front office and coaching staff understand it's a young man's game and should quit paying old guys huge money.

Also, Tomlin is stuck in his ways and hasn’t adjusted with the rest of the league. He’s an out-of-touch coach right now and that is bad coaching.

You always hear excuses from critics asking if they fire Tomlin who would they hire?
The Bears seem to have done OK.
