Joey Porter Arrested

So the bouncer should have said "Oh, there's the guy that threatened to kill me the last time he was here... he's cool."?

The bouncer isn't the one who was drunk. Joey Porter is way too ******* old to be getting arrested. He should have realized he was going to be denied entrance.

I worked in Bars all my drinking life. Yes is the answer. Your job is to diffuse situations not start them.

All of this is in the reviews section their facebook page..........

On several occasions I was denied at the door for any random reason while I watched other white men dressed just like me walk right in. This bar is a disgrace to the city & I'll never support this business again.

And all these comments are prior to yesterday..........

Terrrrible establisment, i've never given a poor review but my expirience was so horrible i feel that it's totally necessary.. I've worked In restaurants and bars for 6 years and i've never experienced worse service. I was watching the Steelers game and someone kicks my friend out for NO reason. They kept telling me they didn't know why they were kicking her out that someone else they worked with didn't like her. I asked him and he told me "that i'm lucky I didn't get choked". Then waaay after I just left the staff member contained to tell the people I was around that they were lucky he didn't knock them out and go never look at him again. I'm so upset and confused about the situation. If my friends or I were being absurd I would understand but it was in no way along the lines of that. So of you want the co workers to threaten to choke you out for NO reason what so ever her you'll love it

Ashley Toney An old man wanted me to dance with him and when I said no he grabbed my arm and poured a drink on my head so I shoved him off... I was the one kicked out of the bar for aggressive behavior. Then when the cops asked the bouncers why I was escorted out they didn't say a word. When I explained it to the cop on duty for the bar all he said was "it's happens".

Tyler Kracken ^Yeah, the cop or bouncer or whoever it was outside basically just said "oh well, theres really nothing i can do" when it happened to me. My face was completely bloodied and I was in shock. Absolutely sleazy bar and I wish Id pressed charges or pushed further but i had a lot of other stuff going on at the time. If you have evidence with your bruise there, Id follow up with this if I were you. Especially as a woman, your story would get a lot of traction where mine was dismissed by the cops (I went to file a report the next day) as "boys just being boys."

Ashley Toney It's sad what they get away with and I felt so unsafe when the cops even blew me off. I'm trying to take this further especially after seeing I'm not the only person who this has happened to, male or female it isn't right...

This place is racist. My friends and I were not let in because we had tennis shoes on but he let in all the people after me with tennis shoes on. It's terrible and embarrassing. He claimed all of the other "white" patrons knew the owner and that is why they were allowed in. It's ashame this still continues in 2015.

Well, it seems that Joey's lawyer has a lot of people to contact to determine if the person responsible for all those situations was the same bouncer. Oh, and it would probably help if they found out that the cop involved was the same one too.

That said, if I'm Joey Porter, I can afford to hang out in more reputable establishments.

Here's an idea, go home and drink at home. **** bars

I agree........I am not excusing Peezy's part......I am just saying that I suspect that there is a whole hell of a lot more to the story.

I will say this......back in the day when I was not the "designated driver" for an evening of Bar Hopping in Winston Salem......If I wore pleated white pants, we always ended up at a Biker Bar........

......And we never went to Biker Bars intentionally......

My buddies......Those *******......

If I were Joey's lawyer I'd have a LOT of questions for the police officer about why his body cam didn't come on until AFTER the alleged wrist grabbing and lifting of the bouncer happened.

Furthermore, what is ON the body cam footage? is there anything that support's Porter being unruly and aggressive? If not, I would suggest that the officer is hella full of ****.

Innocent or guilty doesn't matter at this point. Porter has had a bit of history of getting in trouble where alcohol is involved.
I think he needs to come to terms with an alcohol problem.

Yea I know if I was a coach on an NFL team that just won a playoff game the first thing on my mind wouldn't be going to a **** hole bar and drinking.

Sometimes AA is a good thing.

Who the **** wears pleated white pants?
Super Dave
His (SD's) story sounds remarkably familiar, except for the white pleated pants part, but my friends would stumble us into bars that were frequented mostly by guys that lead an "alternate" lifestyle, buy a few of them beers then leave. They though it a goof....... jagoffs every last one!

HOLD UP... an OFF DUTY officer has a city issued body cam on his person, but waits until AFTER the so called altercation took place to activate it? Not saying Porter is a saint by any means here, but seriously? We're just gonna ignore tha???

SMH...I read that too - sometin' in the milk ain't clean...

I went to this bar over the weekend for my 24th birthday with a group of my girlfriends. An older man, at least 55 kept approaching us and touching our backs trying to make us dance and buy us drinks. When I told him we weren't interested he proceeded to grab my arm hard enough that it bruised instantly and poured a drink on my head. I shoved him off of me and I GOT ESCORTED OUT OF THE BAR FOR AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR. I told the bouncers I would gladly leave on my own as they were forcefully pushing me down the stairs and grabbing my arm where the man has just grabbed me. The bouncers told me I was too aggressive but when the cops asked the bouncer why I got escorted out they just shrugged their shoulders. They left that man in their and then the cops that were on the security for the bar said "it happens". I've never felt so disrespected in my life. #itshouldnthappen

Tried to get in with friends & was told that we couldn't enter because we weren't on the "guest list" The thing is that gets me is 1. Neither dude had a clipboard in their hand, so how did they know who was actually on the guest list?? 2. I never heard having a guest list at a FREE bar. 3. I actually think they did it because all 4 of us were black because when were denied, they let 2 dozen white girls in!! THE FLATS ON CARSON ARE RACIST AS HELL!!!!!

Peezy's alleged altercation was with the Doorman.......Sounds like the Doorman is a monumental prick.........

Court documents reveal new details about arrest of Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter
January 9, 2017 8:41 AM
By Liz Navratil / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter argued with the doorman at a South Side bar Sunday night and then struggled with an officer who tried to intervene, according to court documents.

Mr. Porter, also a former player for the team, was arraigned shortly before 2 a.m. today on charges of assault, resisting arrest, trespassing and disorderly conduct. Court records show that he posted $25,000 bail with help from an agency. He could not immediately be reached for comment.

According to a criminal complaint filed early today, Pittsburgh police Officer Paul Abel was working an off-duty assignment at a bar in the South Side when another off-duty officer informed him that "the doorman for the Flats, located at 1500 E. Carson St., was being threatened by a Pittsburgh Steeler."

Officer Abel wrote that he went to the Flats and saw Mr. Porter "standing over the door man, later identified as Jon Neskow." Mr. Neskow told Mr. Porter, "Last time you (Porter) were here, you threatened to kill me. You need to leave. You are not getting in," according to the complaint.

Officer Abel wrote that he asked what was happening, but Mr. Porter did not respond and several men, who are not identified in court documents, said, "Officer, we got him. We got him."

"As soon as these...males stated this, Porter lunged at Neskow and grasped Neskow by his arms and lifting him up off the ground," according to the complaint.

Officer Abel wrote that he, with help from the unidentified men, grabbed Mr. Porter by the jacket to pull him off of the doorman.

"Porter let go of Neskow dropping him back down to the ground. Porter came to rest against a car parked directly in front of the establishment," according to the complaint.

Officer Abel wrote that Porter, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 260 pounds, grabbed him by the wrists and smelled of alcohol. Officer Abel wrote that he is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds.

"Porter informed me that he was not touching me, as he was still holding my wrists," Officer Abel wrote. He wrote that Mr. Porter then asked, "Did you hear what he (Neskow) said to me?"

The unidentified men again said, "We got him, Officer. We got him, Officer" and Mr. Porter then "suddenly released" Officer Abel and started backing away into East Carson Street, according to court paperwork.

Officer Abel wrote that he requested back-up and then unzipped his coat "allowing me access to my City of Pittsburgh issued Body Worn Camera, and activated it at this time."

Officer Abel wrote that he followed Mr. Porter until other officers arrived, and Mr. Porter shouted at various times, "No, you are going too far now" or "No! No! I didn't do anything."

After he was handcuffed, Mr. Porter yelled, 'You're lying! I never touched you," according to the complaint.

Officer Abel wrote that neither he nor the doorman were injured during the encounter, but did write that at one point, "I believed that [Mr. Porter] was going to cause me serious injury." Police wrote that Mr. Porter did not appear to be injured or complain of any pain when they transported him to the jail.

Craig Johnston, of the South Side, was walking home Sunday night when the scene unfolded in front of him. He said Mr. Porter and a Pittsburgh police officer argued, with Mr. Porter repeatedly saying, "I didn't put my hands on him."

Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten issued the following statement Sunday night: "We are aware of an incident tonight involving Joey Porter. We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and we will have no further comment until we get more details.”

Sounds like a nothing incident that some bouncer and a Napolean complex cop turned into a big deal.

If i'm that bar owner, i'm firing that bouncer immediately. He turned away a steeler from the bar. Not because he started a fight but because he had a prior beef with him. A beef that seems to have just been words. Can you imagine how much business this could cost that bar?

Look, I like Joey as much as any of you. However, I wouldn't call what was described in the account as a nothing incident. He put his hands on someone who identified themselves as a police officer (though I'm not to fond of these "off duty cops" working their separate jobs etc. and still acting like cops). Administrative leave until it can be sorted out. Get someone else to run the linebackers through their paces at practice. doubt if he does much in game adjustments anyhow. Butler was linebackers coach before and can assume that on game day.
