Deflategate Investigation: Complete ... Awaiting Report.

I got news for ya. The NFL already looks like a complete joke...

I got news for ya. The NFL already looks like a complete joke...

I was just about to say that

sweeping spygate under the rug destroying evidence
punishments handed out being unequal compared against similar infractions
delaying the investigation until after the draft / SB

time the NFL owners correct the ship (they won't) but it is long overdue

the NFL is the WWE until all things are equal

I believe that Goodell said something about it being irrelevant whether Sean Payton knew what was going on or not.
When you're Roger's favorite team it's different.

I literally feel giddy right now. There is no way they can't suspend him. No way. If they want to use the "there is no direct evidence". What was the direct evidence against Roethlisberger. He will get two games. Anything less will be intolerable to the greater fan base. Anyone saying they hope he plays against the Steeelrs F'off with their schedule they need every break they kid and the concept of Brady not being able to be there for the celebratory Thursday Night game (suspended payers cannot be in attendance) makes me again GIDDY.

We should riot!! Yeah!!! Lol this should cost Bellicheck and Brady a season off. But, it we never happen

I think it would be nice if everyone going to the game showed up with a deflated foot ball and frisbee tossed them at the cheats when they come out of the tunnel. Just imagine all the folks tossing foot balls toward the field on national tv and the comments from that!

The Pats punishment must be severe because spygate taught them absolutely nothing about adhering to the rules.
Per Shannon sharpe
And
If Tom Brady guilty then he should face the same consequences as someone on performances enhancing drugs!!! 4 game suspension for cheating
Per nick Barnett

Brady will get a slap on the wrist. They will say that Brady had no knowledge of spygate, so this is his first ever disciplinary offense. Then they will fine him and that's it.

The only thing that would make me have any disagreement with you on this is that Belichick is supposed to be responsible for the organization; he is more than just the Head Coach -- akin to "institutional control" -- if it were only Tom Brady that would be one thing, but there are multiple parties involved and its hard to believe he wasn't aware.

I hear ya FSF, I'm just going off the report that only implicates those 3 and clears the Patriots coaches and admin of any wrongdoing or knowledge of the occurrence. Don't get me wrong, I think Bellicheat knew, but he's in the clear per the report.

What I want to know is how was Brady able to refuse his phone from being checked? The NFL and Goodell stated that there would be a full and transparent investigation. How the **** does Brady get to say no, when he's one of the people under direct investigation? This is another Goodell failure to ensure a full and transparent investigation. Now Brady and the NFL are complicit in not turning over evidence. That's pretty damning.

I'm also not sure why the texts by Brady to McNally and Jastremeski weren't released. If the investigation had their phones, they would have Brady's text to them.

Even without the direct evidence, the report shows Brady was implicit and in turn, will be punished.

PS, I read the full report. McNally will be blabbing to ESPN sometime this year. He's materialistic, and already broke NFL rules for sneakers and singed Merch by Brady (another implication of complicity by Tommy Boy).

**** the one game suspension, if smoking weed and trying to pick up college chicks gets you 4 games, this lying little multi offending ***** should get at least 6 games. And I don't care what that report says, if you think Belicunt wasn't aware of this bullshit I suggest you lay off the crackpipe.

The only way these cheating fucksticks ever won a Superbowl was by breaking the rules, they are the scummiest sports franchise on the planet bar none. Their douchebag filled fanbase making excuses for them is hilarious, I think sucking Brady's dick so long has robbed their brains of some much needed oxygen.

**** the Pats*

Ohh and I never wish injuries on anyone, but I hope that cheating ************ has a career ending incident next year. Karma is a ***** and he's long overdue for payback. He can take any so called records he breaks and shove them straight up his skirt wearing ***!

Just suspend the sonafabitach week 1!!!!!!

Brady gets to say no because the Pats** as an organization were able to say no to requests by the investigator.

From the report:
The Patriots provided cooperation throughout the investigation, including by
making personnel and information available to us upon request. Counsel for the Patriots,
however, refused to make Jim McNally available for a follow-up interview requested by our
investigative team on what we believed were important topics, despite our offer to meet at any
time and location that would be convenient for McNally. Counsel for the Patriots apparently
refused even to inform McNally of our request. We believe the failure by the Patriots and its
counsel to produce McNally for the requested follow-up interview violated the club‟s obligations
to cooperate with the investigation under the Policy on Integrity of the Game & Enforcement of
League Rules and was inconsistent with public statements made by the Patriots pledging full
cooperation with the investigation.

.

Think back on the timeline of this. This whole thing blew up during the playoffs. Belicheat and Marsha both REPEATEDLY denied wrongdoing and any knowledge. I have two main point, as follows:

1. If Marsha comes clean immediately after the issue blew up, the Patriots STILL go to the Super Bowl. However, there would be NO WAY that Brady would be playing in that game. Marsha lied... repeatedly. He cheated... again. I will be shocked if he suddenly mans-up now. He will still deny everything.

2. When this thing blew up, I guarantee Belicheat called in the two guys dealing with ball prep. He asked straight up if they had done anything. They spilled everything immediately. Darth Hoodie KNEW. There is zero chance he did not know. His handling of his weather channel press conference made this clear. Bill backed away from Brady as it became clear that he could not avoid being pulled over the side. Bill pulled the cord.

I will be interested to see what comes out on this as time goes on. The two equipment guys will be sacked. A book deal will follow. No one will ever convince me that they didn't answer every question IN DETAIL... when the hoodie asked them.

The NFL will not be able to avoid imposing discipline. A suspension for Brady cannot be avoided. Heavy fines on all involved... including the team. I do not see how Belicheat avoids a suspension in view of how the New Orleans situationplayed out.

Polian was the only one on ESPN to get it right when he said "more probable than not" is NFL speak for "Guilty". The rest of those biased ***** just keep repeating that "more probable than not" is not "beyond a reasonable doubt" etc. etc.
Wells points out in his report that:

The investigation was conducted pursuant to the Policy on Integrity of the Game
& Enforcement of Competitive Rules. In particular, Section 2 of the Policy provides that:
Actual or suspected competitive violations will be thoroughly and promptly
investigated. Any club identifying a violation is required promptly to report the
violation, and give its full support and cooperation in any investigation. Failure to
cooperate in an investigation shall be considered conduct detrimental to the
League and will subject the offending club and responsible individual(s) to
appropriate discipline.
Section 4 of the Policy provides that “[t]he standard of proof required to find that a violation of
the competitive rules has occurred shall be a Preponderance of the Evidence.” As the Policy
makes clear, that “means that, as a whole, the fact sought to be proved is more probable than
not.

So basically Wells was saying that "Tom Brady is a cheating *******. He's guilty"

McNally could bring it alllll down.

He could do it.

Don't hold back tell us how you really feel.....by the way I agree with you completely. :ditto:

Interesting point about more probable than not. I believe this violation is not against the codified ordinances of any state or government body so beyond reasonable doubt would not come into play. In this case it would be in my opinion a civil matter much as property damage between neighbors for example gets settled. In Civil cases a lower standard is used and it is by a preponderance of the evidence......more probable than not.

As usual the talking heads stepped on their collective dicks again or the spin is already happening.:jag::poop::no::herewego:

Well, it gives the Steelers a chance to win the opener.

I think Brady should be suspended for a couple games - he cheated and lied - but let's keep this **** in context guys. Is this any worse than a WR using Stickum?

They will always be a farce, they're cheating *** *******. It's what their organization is about from top to bottom. Their pompous *** owner saying there was no real irrefutable evidence tells you he is complicit in all of it from the beginning. I hate them more than any other franchise in sports.

Ummm. Yes.

He lied to league officials/investigators during the course of an NFL investigation into cheating. The cheating itself is enough. Integrity of the shield and all that crap they laid on Ben. However, when Rog suspended Rice the second time, he made specific note of the fact that it was an indefinite suspension because he "lied or misrepresented the severity of his actions". Now, I don't expect them to indefinitely suspend Brady for the lying ($$$ and Kraft's influence), however, Rog himself set the precedent that it should be on the table.
