No idea why you are getting so offended? Are you related to Ben?

No one here is saying Ben was guilty. But, when you are accused of rape twice, its not out of the question to suggest you are putting yourself in harms way. In fact, Ben was notoriously know to be an immature dick during his early years (the motorcycle incident comes to mind).

The point is, people can learn from their mistakes. So why not capitalize from his 'redemption' story?

Difference is Ben is a great player and Haskins sucks.

nobody had him as a 1st rounder. Washington took him because he went to school with Daniel Snyder’s son.

he’s a potential locker room cancer. Terrible decision to sign this bum.

Correct. He wasn't viewed as a 1st round talent from most.

This probably just means that Dobbs is gone.

Can anyone name one thing Haskins does good? He's slow, inaccurate, lazy, and has poor work ethic. I'm more worried about that, than the off the field stuff right now.

Never thought he was all that much at OSU. He is essentially NOT a dual threat as he had miserable rushing stats at OSU.

Which is a terrible move if so. Dobbs has good input and high football IQ and IQ in general.. that is valuable. Haskins literally gives you nothing but low IQ and possible distraction.

Guess that goes to show you how much these places know... that's a lot of terrible evaluation.

draftniks had him as a first rounder but I don’t think teams did. I don’t believe Haskins was invited to the draft. He did throw his own draft party where he charge a $50 cover to get in. Just a great guy

This doesn't mean Dobbs is gone at all.

Haskins signed a futures contract. The same as Kevin Rader. Stop overreacting. His contract doesn't even count against the salary cap. T

They're going to give Haskins every opportunity possible to be the 3rd QB. I'll be shocked if they sign Dobbs back and cut Haskins.. don't see that happening.

I stopped looking at Walter football. That's all I need. Later I am going to look up Haskins eval on that site and pass it off as my own. Yep yep living in the lap of luxury here.

This move makes me think maybe Canada won’t be the OC. Ben may be more mobile than Haskins right now.

The kid sucks.. plain and simple. He has no intelligence for the game, can't read a defense to save his life, no work ethic.
You can't teach a work ethic and a love for your craft. If you don't that as a 1st round pick then you're never going to get it.

Look, I wasn't for the signing. But, it is what it is.
"No Intelligence for the game"
"Can't read a defense"
Sounds like another Steelers QB who was picked in the first round.
That said, you actually CAN teach work ethic and nurture a love for your craft.
Still skeptical about this signing though.

I guess.. I just don't think he has a lot of natural talent for the position. To me, you either love the game and are all in or you're not. This kid is not all in by any means.

No reason they can't sign Dobbs back and let them battle it out in camp. Teams need 4qb's in the offseason and for camp. This is no different than Paxton Lynch.

Isn't stuff like this what the long, boring off-season is for?

Maybe he is good at QB sneaks?

I have the utmost confidence Tomlin can mold him into a young fine man.[emoji41]

Maybe if Tomlin takes his time to make a project out of this young man, the new OC can fix the O, and the DC can run the D.

Win,win,win.

You guys make me laugh. *****, *****, *****, but here is an opportunity to sign a guy, at the minimum probably, or close to it, who was a 1st rounder. With the Steelers cap situation, you gotta look for bargins. And to be a 1st rounder, there has to be some talent there. So, perhaps a talented bargin.

Look, I know he has some maturity issues. But for the love, they have to get younger and more mobile back there. And again, it's probably for the league minimum, if he is a jackass, you cut him. Really no loss. They should have plenty of time to figure that out.

Jamarcus Russell & Ryan Leaf were 1st rounders.... should we pick them up for league minimum? There is no risk right?

Haskins was a 1st round pick against the wishes of the then Head Coach Jay Gruden; forced by Dan Snyder. It’s questionable that he should have been a 1st round pick

Doug Gottlieb reported that he was bad at reading his playbook that the coaches thought he had dyslexia

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...s-coaches-thought-he-was-dyslexic/ar-BB10utgx

Maturity Issues?
He took a selfie during the game to celebrate a win — missing the final snap.
He’s same age as Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Joe Burrow & Patrick Mahomes

If he wanted a chance, show it in CFL first. Quit selling crazy, we got enough of it already
