Have you not been in the corporate world? It's really not that complex. Team has ego. GM has ego. Owner has ego. They spent their largest free agent spending in a while on Green. Those involved in that decision do not want to look bad; it's the same reason why 1st-round draft picks get extra time to sink or swim. Dump a 1st-round pick, or higher priced free agent is an indication that a mistake was made. Higher level people say "piss off" and cut/bench players regardless of prominence; most have to protect their ego, hence situations like this. Even if it goes unspoken, people just know...Green was going to get targets, period, in an effort to prove signing him was wise. They don't want to admit it was a bad move unless they have to. It's human nature. It's petty and small-minded, but it is human nature. They already got egg on their face from him being injured all this time and them not realizing it before they signed him and gave him all that $. But if he remains as slow as he was last game, they will be forced to move on.
Have you been in the corporate world? It isn't all about ego, which you exhibit constantly, it is primarily about business and ULTIMATELY about, making a profit, and calculating trends and tendencies for growth of profit. The business model of the league has certain rules, hence a salary cap, of which to allow fair play with the other 32 teams and increases their expenditures.Sure Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder have tremendous egos, but they are successful because they are smart businessmen. Ego won't get in the way of business. Mark Cuban, whose ego could rivals yours, still knows the business of making money even in sports and handles his franchise as such. I don't know if you are aware, but there is this check and balance system in the NFL. Its called the salary cap, and as of recently, a cap floor both which drive the economic engine of all the owners in the league. There are also penalties included in check and balances, which dictates how players are managed financially. Oh, want to drop a 1st round pick, or a newly signed 20 million FA? Sure, but you will be penalized by cap charge formulas. So, in simple terms, their egos are kept in check when it comes to business decisions that will cost them money. So "not wanting to admit it was a bad move" is called managing your investment. Let me ask you, if you knew you were losing 8 million on releasing a player immediately because your ego said so, would you when keeping him until the rules allow would save you 4 million? These people are not stupid, they have smart people working for them to make money not lose it. They are very successful business operatives. Many more times you could ever imagine to be. So your ten cents worth of opinion, wouldn't last 10 seconds in there presence.
Your structure and syntax makes your ramblings nearly indecipherable. In your attempt to defend a sub-par coach, I believe you are suffering from an emotional spike making your thinking off-kilter. But I agree the win yesterday is nearly meaningless, other than the fact that if we lost the season really would be pretty much over. A win means we are merely in contention to win the division, but that could be the end of the importance, as, unless there are significant advances, we will be a "one and done" playoff team.
Sure, dodge the inquiry, say I am defending a coach, who I have on record stated needs to do better or there will be changes made. Go ahead side step and deflect the question asked to you, by elaborating on "structure and syntax", my "ramblings" or your inability to converse intelligently like an adult. Rather you just exhibit how you can't defend your peacock ego of opinions and the answer you give to the question asked would show you are not as smart as you think you are and obviously cannot discern what it means to provide objective findings to the majority of your baseless opinions. I ask you again, what is the percentage during that period in question?
A win means we are merely in contention to win the division,
which means making the playoffs but that could be the end of the importance, Wait, I thought the whole importance was not making the playoffs. I don't expect this team to be, but would be excited if they did. Because anything can happen then (review 2005 season) . But I don't expect you to be around here if somehow this team does, of if they do have anything positive to say about it.
