I just think it’s hard not to correlate Tomlin to Dan Bylsma for the pens, though again I think tomlin is much brighter than bylsma...

I can't take articles like this seriously when they say " and a brutal schedule, going 7-1 in the past two months." Seriously? The Steelers have beaten 1 team that is above .500. Of those 7 games they won none of those (probably counting the Rams as well) are going to make the playoffs. Brutal schedule? Yea, right.

Both were young head, first time head coaches whose stock had climbed quickly.
Both took over championship caliber teams and won early with them...
Both had ridiculous success in the regular season
Both had massive injury laden seasons that they were able to get into playoff contention with.
Both had a long string of playoff failures
Dan Bylsma was fired with one of the greatest win percentages in nhl history
As his defenders pointed out, he was quickly offered other jobs, and took the Sabers job
His flaws that his detractors had pointed out were magnified outside the structure of the Pens organization, had a miserable run, was fired for the shortcomings pointed out here, and has never gotten another chance...
As I point out often, Chuck Noll had his greatest coaching job in 89, and two year later retired rather than risk being forced put or having a short leash
Head coaches with tomlins tenure at one team rarely win big... Im just saying don’t be surprised if, barring a super bowl win, three years from now another head coach is on the sidelines

So if Tomlin is responsible for this glorious turnaround against this "brutal schedule," who's responsible for the ****** start?

By Logan Leslie SteelerNation.com I, as many fans have been very critical of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin throughout the last few seasons. I have noted in previous articles his failure to coach the team up against below average competition, the team’s lack of discipline and poor defensive performances, among other facets of the […]

First off, I'm just saying, WHY does Tomlin need an appology???? Isn't he suppose to do his job......... **** the CHEATRIOTS even film documentary on their scout team "doing their job".
What will happen next year when he has healthy players and the HOF QB ? I'd like to think similar but better results until I look into past performances. I know now that we've got a D things should be better provided they don't change the D game plan due to Roethlisberger being in there.
The "out of the box" Tomlin is better than the "in the box" Tomlin.
Salute the nation

Jesus! Are you all insane!!!! 8-5 against loser teams. Hey he can play my son's high school schedule and go 12-0 and you all can induct him in to the HOF!! What a bunch of bone heads. Tomlin has to go. He is the biggest reason for the trouble we'vehad in the passed four years. I'm not even going into it with a bunch of kids. So do you all change tour mind if the Steelers lose today? How about a 9-7 record? Is he still your master? That's the reality of it.By Logan Leslie SteelerNation.com I, as many fans have been very critical of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin throughout the last few seasons. much like a very intelligent poster said in another thread. Tomlin is far from perfect but you would have to be a closed minded ******** not to agree he has done a great job of keeping this team focused and motivated to play. They could have easily folded like the bungles or other teams would being 0-3 without their HOF QB for the season, best RB and WR out with injuries, 2nd string QB **** the bed and they turn to an undrafted free agent to lead the team.
and they are 8-5 and control their playoff destiny.
Very thankful to have Coach T on board. In my book he's the second best coach in the NFL right now, behind that Darth Vader dude.
LMFAO [emoji1787][emoji23] 9-7 And we'llmiss the playoffs yet again. Yeah 2nd best piece of garbage. We do live in a friggin stupid filled world. No wonder we're still stuck with the DNC at all.
I took that part of the article to mean that the part where they went 1-4 was brutal, not the 7-1 part. Perhaps I am misinterpreting.
IIRC, I predicted 10-6 and a first round playoff loss before the season started and 2/3 of the offense got hurt.
Tomlin does the coaching job of his life to get to 10-6 with a first round playoff loss with a second and third string offense.
Yee-haw!
We play who's on the schedule. Also...
There are a select group of posters who believe that Coach Tomlin usually loses to sub par teams---using this year's stats, I'd say that statement can be put to rest as an 'untruth'...
Ahhhh.... Mike Tomlin.
The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.
Not an English major here but why is there a , after I in the opening sentence I’m curious because I’m currently drinking with a English professor (composition) and might place a bet to bad he’s a leftist.

This is the work of Colbert mostly not Tomlin. Tomlin should have gone with Duck sooner.
