BREAKING: Week 4 Steelers vs Titans Postponed

Tomlin says strong possibility Monday game, but will prepare for Eagles on short notice if required.

So Steelers get punished trying to prepare for week 5. Let’s pray we don’t have a lot of injuries playing what will surely be a physical matchup w ****.

I am trying to remember what the league did back in 2004 when the Steelers game in Miami was delayed until Sunday evening by a hurricane. I seem to recall the game only being on local TV in Pittsburgh and Miami. I don't know if that would work now.

I was there in Miami, we had to leave our hotel on the coast. We found out from a dancer at a club about 1 in the morning Saturday night that we had to evacuate. We got a room and stayed near the airport. Game and the conditions were ****.

Give both teams a TIE mainly so we (PITTSBURGH) has a lesser chance of a .500 season..................

This is where you'd like to have an agressive OWNER, one who would point out the many points IKE made in his post. Obviously Isolate the positive tested and continue on, all a protocol has been established. Because the **** ****** up shouldn't mean the rest of us should pay.

Makes me wonder if they have a couple high profile games at that time-slot so they want a later game to get the viewership ratings....?

Salute the nation

so what if it's on NFL network. just stream it.

Since the game was originally scheduled for CBS I would fully expect CBS to broadcast it. Not sure about the rules whether it'll be a national game or not. It should be because there's no reason not to.

either way, just stream it.

This is total cluster@#$& in my honest opinion. All clubs were TOLD in July when camps would be opened in August to “take care of your own house, internally and externally” every team is dealing with the coronavirus situation the same as the League put in place. No TC away from your primary facilities, all players/personnel checked the same way by league officials.

So...Tennessee had 3 players tested positive, and 5 team personnel. One player is a practice squad, the other a long snapper, the third a starter. The league allowed enlargement of the game day rosters just for this situation. Isolate those players and personnel and adjust accordingly.

The club apparently failed to follow the strict requirements set forward by the league. They are responsible for their house, not the other clubs. So you can’t practice or meet in person until Sat for walk throughs. To bad, they should have clamped down harder while traveling, or you wouldn’t be in this situation.

Now, the League is giving “additional” assistance to Tennessee while Pitt has to work on a short week against Philly for something another club is culprit.

All the steadfast direction the league through the early months and then summer for COVID so as to start on time (OTA’s, the Draft, Mini Camps, TC). All carefully arranged so the clown show that MLB with the Marlins, and St Louis would happen to the NFL. The league and Commish showing all the Sporting Events “we have a plan and it won’t change our commitment to having a season” is basically BS, and not holding a team accountable for their lack of steadfast adherence to restricting positive infections. Totally ridiculous.

No one wants to get sick and it's a possibility or could happen to anyone. Once one person gets it on a team in close quarters multiple people will get it. Does not mean any one did anything wrong. Not sure why everyone is so butt hurt over a game. I'm surprised the season lasted this long without a postponement. It's a minor inconvenience that a good team can overcome

@AndrewMarchand

The rescheduled Steelers-Titans game is expected to be on national TV on CBS, according to sources.

It will be either on Monday at 5 p.m. or Tuesday at 6 or 7 p.m

They should play it at 9am on Monday. That'd be kinda neat

Well that would suck having it @ 5 pm eastern. So 2 pm pacific......over by 5 pacific. Some of us actually work. Do all Eastern time zone people have to be asleep by 8?

Appear that something was done. In reality it would take at least 14 days from the last positive test and no further positives for everyone to be safe. This is a farce.

No, It needs to be over before the scheduled MNF game. They have exclusivity rights that no games can be played during theirs.

Looks like you have to work early on Monday. I'd be leaving at lunch if it was me.

Yeah I know it’s a just a game. The issue isn’t trying to get someone sick, no one wants that. The fact that the league closed both teams facilities was so as to make sure it doesn’t spread. Players are tested several times before games and after. No doubt all players/personnel have been tested since. Still only 8 individuals have been positive. No one from Minnesota tested positive. So, quarantine the 8 and move on. Just like the rest of us do. The league planned for this contingency to allow a larger and protected practice squad, larger game day rosters. So now they throw all this meticulous planning and adherence. For what? I think the Commish doesn’t want to look bad, when he has (for once) done a fine job of handling the challenges presented. It’s a lot of moving parts for sure, but you don’t park the car, because the radio quit working.
