Nah. There are what 465+ pages in the political section on this. I am sure you are an active participant over there where it belongs. I quit reading that when it was ok for 40,000 then 60,000 then gee a bad flu season is 80,000 deaths. What’s it at now? Yes it’s a bad,bad flu. With a difference. No vaccine, and more contagious.
As to the economic benefits of no crowds. Gee,really? Perhaps you could give me figures. I am sure you have them right at your fingertips. Let me see....I suspect they are down drastically ‘cause there are no fans? Maybe it would be better to pack the stadiums with 70,000+ fans during these times? Leave masks at the door? Maybe only 5-10,000 fans get the virus? That’s acceptable,Steelers won the game! I got to eat my chili and yell at the TV!
My “ emotional prodding “. There are what now....16 -19 confirmed cases maybe more of the Titans, maybe more. You really think the game shouldn’t be canceled? My point was that team has to take care of it’s own. They have loved ones, some I am sure at a higher risk. Gee,just a little bit bigger than Sunday’s game. But no,it’s all a ruse against the Steelers, giving the Ravens an advantage with a latter bye,and a bunch of other bullshit.
Look,I have been a diehard Steelers fan since 1972. Of course I want to watch them play. When an opposing organization has 16 personal out due to an “evolving flu season that starts every-time at fall” (funny I can’t think of other games being canceled “ every time at fall” but I have only been watching since 1972 so perhaps before? I am sure you have the info at your fingertips, enlighten me) yes.....I expect it to be canceled.
It’s football. They breathe on each other. They sweat on each other. The is physical contact on every play. It certainly is not a normal job as most of us have. Flu or covid or whatever, until there is a vaccine/ or is not highly contagious this is going to be the normal. I am self- employed. No big companies to protect me. Have to fight for everything I get. Economies shutting down effect me big time. Believe me when I say I want things to return to normal.
Rant over.
