BREAKING: Week 4 Steelers vs Titans Postponed

Either way it is a disadvantage for Steelers, we'll have a short week now to prepare for Eagles. Ridiculous.

Iron sharpens iron. We all knew COVID wouldn't just disappear once the season started - adhere to the medical guidelines, avoid major injuries, WIN THE GAMES we're scheduled to play.

That was easy...

The game will not be televised if it’s played Monday. ESPN has the MNF game and they would be pissed if another is televised during that time, it would kill their ratings. This game will be played Tuesday and then televised.

Wouldn't they just have an earlier game and then a late game?

If it's Tuesday, the Eagles have basically two more recovery days than the Steelers. That's a hell of an advantage in a league where every advantage counts.

Meh, just send Coach over to provide analysis of their game and players. That'll give us 3 weeks of advantage as they try to decipher his BS...

Whenever they play, it damn well better be on TV and not just on NFL Network. I don't get NFL Network.

What is the advantage, please, and what is with the caps Mr. HAIR-ON-FIRE?

Is your radio or TV broke? Internet down??? The Titans CANNOT practice until AT LEAST Saturday. Virtual game planning is like playing Madden...advantage Steelers.

It's a short flight. The entire pre-season was canceled, the quality of play did not suffer. 2 days of practice is enough, the coaches still have the same amount of time to implement a game plan.

Let's zoom in on this. Specifically the bolded text. WHAT?!?!?!

Why not? They've had double-header MNF games before. Move one game up an hour and schedule the second one to accommodate the West Coast...just depends on 'when' we're scheduled to see how much alcohol I'll drink while watching...

The NFL did not have pre-season, the quality of play did not suffer at all.

Really Really hoping for Monday game. I have to ref a rec league touch game on Tuesday. Plus it would suck for the following week prep.

And how is CBS supposed to feel about losing a televised game?

No crowd to worry about time. Put both games on. Adjust time of one game to 5 pm eastern and second to 8

I think fans are still allowed into the game. I don’t even think Tenn has COVID restrictions anymore so they need to think about fans.

they do. the Nashville mayor was going to allow some fans to attend, but not a lot.

You need to send me some of the alcohol you drink cuz you're rip, roarin' drunk if you think the QOP is the same as 4 weeks of pre-season game planning and play (even if the 1's don't get to play full time they miss out on the timing at game speed. Anyone w/ an OUNCE of football knowledge would know that...

I am trying to remember what the league did back in 2004 when the Steelers game in Miami was delayed until Sunday evening by a hurricane. I seem to recall the game only being on local TV in Pittsburgh and Miami. I don't know if that would work now.

I remember watchin' that game in Bermuda locally. Punt stuck in the mud game...

This is total cluster@#$& in my honest opinion. All clubs were TOLD in July when camps would be opened in August to “take care of your own house, internally and externally” every team is dealing with the coronavirus situation the same as the League put in place. No TC away from your primary facilities, all players/personnel checked the same way by league officials.

So...Tennessee had 3 players tested positive, and 5 team personnel. One player is a practice squad, the other a long snapper, the third a starter. The league allowed enlargement of the game day rosters just for this situation. Isolate those players and personnel and adjust accordingly.

The club apparently failed to follow the strict requirements set forward by the league. They are responsible for their house, not the other clubs. So you can’t practice or meet in person until Sat for walk throughs. To bad, they should have clamped down harder while traveling, or you wouldn’t be in this situation.

Now, the League is giving “additional” assistance to Tennessee while Pitt has to work on a short week against Philly for something another club is culprit.

All the steadfast direction the league through the early months and then summer for COVID so as to start on time (OTA’s, the Draft, Mini Camps, TC). All carefully arranged so the clown show that MLB with the Marlins, and St Louis would happen to the NFL. The league and Commish showing all the Sporting Events “we have a plan and it won’t change our commitment to having a season” is basically BS, and not holding a team accountable for their lack of steadfast adherence to restricting positive infections. Totally ridiculous.

So delaying the game 24-48 hours will do what exactly?
