I’d apply for the commissioner exempt list for AB at this point. Withholding his roster bonus and his salary.

It’s AB, I’m betting not playing will drive him insane. It’d still be better than paying him another $2.5 million and then not playing for the Steelers.

As I said before, demand for AB could be a lot higher once the draft and free agency are no longer options for acquiring a WR. Or teams lose players to injury and a proven WR is the only thing they think is between them and a championship.
A lot of WRs are hitting the market heading into FA. Guys like Crabtree and John Brown are no AB, but the headache factor is real and I would entertain Crabtree before giving up a high pick(s) and knowing AB wants a new deal, too.
Honestly I think this Friday thing unless it was dreamed up by the media was a very bad idea that will make the organization look even stupider than it currently does. Which is really difficult to do. Terrible idea.
No I still take value a Raiders 2 and 4 is like a one value where they are positioned in the draft. I don't think that would be giving him away. IF on draft day I don't get the value he stays. And then I suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team.
What? The organization never gave an official statement that Friday was a deadline.

Yep. If we can't get a high value trade because of his interference then suspend him. He's already in breach of contract and would be of little value to us on the team anyway. I would rather save the money.

Yes they did not. But as I said it was either a figment of the media imagination or it was leaked by the Steelers or a team dealing with the Steelers. After today rolls by there is literally zero chance the Steelers are going to make a good deal for Antonio Brown. Zero.

Ed Bouchette, who has better access to the Steelers than anybody, said on Wednesday that he didn’t think a trade would happen by today.
I disagree, it is still 50/50. Raiders have said there is interest and haven't dropped out. We have no idea who else is interested.
The Bills do not change anything, we should have expected that outcome.
Uhhh ok.. if anything, they'll probably get a better deal later. They just didn't want to pay that bonus.

First round picks come with a fifth year option for the team. I imagine teams value that.

Sorry, no offense to you, but Bouchette is an *******. He hasn't helped this debacle at all with his "get him out of Pittsburgh, take whatever you can get or cut him". I want the blonde mustached **** out of here too. I want a first round pick fair market value of he can give the Steelers back his 21 million dollar signing bonus.

Put your feelings about the man aside. He has been the Steelers beat writer for the Post-Gazette for decades and has remained in good standing with the team, he absolutely has better access than anybody.
They said get their best offers in, if they don't get the value they still wait................ they said that from the get go. Nothing has changed. And there is no guarantees either way. But I have seen situations teams at the last second jump into the fire. This thing isn't at the last second mark. Thing is we don't know what is offered even at this point or how many teams are involved. With so many unknowns we can't put a stamp on it. Teams can negotiate all the way past the draft. Even if the FO and us wants different. Just the way it is.
