OK Put me in the NFL is fixed camp

This. The number of people it would take to fix games would be to large to keep under wraps. Sooner or later someone would let it slip or out and out blow the whistle.

I'll bet you that someone from the cheats comes forward someday. I look forward to it all hitting a huge fan. I will watch the nfln all day when this happens.

Reid said they normally warn the coach before they call that.

I hear you, but it's a cop out to blame the refs for calling a guy lining up in the neutral zone. It's the player's responsibility on where they line up. Hell Harrison used to line up so close to the neutral zone, he looked offside, but rarely got called, unless he jumped early. When offenses go up tempo, there is no time to warn anyone. Refs have to do their job.

Yeah me too.
Used to piss my high school coach off cause I'd have that trouble at receiver.
Finally put me at safety full time which is where I felt comfortable.

Hated playing offense

I just loved attacking the ball in the air, whether it was from WR or DB, that was my role.

Did the nfl even issue an apology to the Saints and fans? Will they admit it was a blown call?

Much too large scale to be rigged.

Agreed. Do not believe the NFL is "rigged" in terms of the refs, but I submit that it is absolutely undeniable that certain players in the NFL get favorable treatment, just as certain baseball players get favorable treatment from umpires. Greg Maddux used to get strikes called on pitches 3" off the plate. Others did not.

Was that because the game was rigged? Of course not. Did Maddux's favorable treatment help him considerably? Damn right it did.

Brady is protected like no other QB, and that includes leeway for his blockers. The holding that the Patsies commit is pretty egregious. Further, the Patsie defensive backs have for years set new limits on the amount of contact that is allowed. When the other teams do the same, the announcers point it out, and are surprised that the refs don't call it more.

I suspect they don't call it more because they have been immunized by the Patsies constant hand-checking and grabbing, and therefore don't see a reason to call it.

Cheat at one time pointed out that he teaches them to hold, as in they won't call everything. And it worked for them, refs don't want to call **** but throw the occasional flag. No other team gets that favoritism.

Not if my theory is correct. My theory is Ernie steals the signals and tells them to billacheat. Who tells nobody what he is doing. All the players know is billacheat is some genius at lining them up correctly and watching film. I tell you whoever submitted the tapes to Goodell screwed up by not making a copy. Talk about a gold mine, that would bring in some cash.

The calls were OK in the Pats game

Pats***** got some calls their way. The Saints had to be dispatched because they had a better chance of beating them in the SB.

I was a lot better reacting with the play in front of me, especially as a safety.
It was different as a receiver. But it really helps out to understand the habits of receivers.

I was a small 5'7 180lb db, but I loved to hit.
I remember I lit up an all state RB. That was when I knew DB was my position lol.

We lost that game though.

hmmmmm

And I do think refs throw flags at crucial times if a game is close like Saints/Rams.

I'm also on the said team can overcome a bad penalty.
The saints were still in position to win that game.

KC was still in position to win theirs. Their defense was just horrid and gassed

I thought ****** ref crews were ineligible for playoff, let alone conference championship, games. The crew that miffed our SD game should have never even sniffed the NFCCG. That doesn't pass the smell test initially anyway. The NFL has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Ya include me too... nfl brass was creaming in their pants wanting to get Los Angeles into the Super Bowl... la vs Brady is their dream come true..the disparity of refereeing from game to game has become horrible in nfl. They have had plenty of time to clean it up but they seem to be reluctant to it because it creates strife and strife Can be used to their advantage. Saints worked very very hard they played the great season to get home field advantage, played the game against a very tuff team to have the ball last in a very close game and fuking referees just took it all away complete changing history. Horrible! I’m surprised there wasn’t a riot... and nfl got what it wanted Los Angeles in the Super Bowl

Couldn't the league just fix the SB like they fixed the championship game? Why worry about the Saints when the league controls the outcome anyway?

A single player with a lot of gambling debt could be enough to screw up a game. Snitching can be bad for your health or that of your loved ones. Then the media would have to report the story. They would probably lose money in the long run if they didn't kiss the NFL's ***.

It still could work out that way. If one team gets up big early I wouldnt be surprised to see calls going in favor of the team behind for them to get back into the game to make it interesting.

Exactly. Just like it was properly reported on spygate.

One step further, the "officials" calls can get that team a nice lead and then call "make up" calls for the opposite team to camouflage the effect............. It ONLY take 3-8 plays to manipulate out come................................

Salute the nation

why is "LA vs Brady" the NFL's dream come true??

If the league was fixed, why would they want the same team in the Superbowl every year?

It's boring

Non-Patriots fans are tired of it, and even the media is tired of the same story lines every year.

The incentive just isn't there, as the league/sport is so popular that the ratings/interest do not fluctuate based on who's playing like they do in the NBA, MLB or NHL.

I do not think they are fixed, but seems the league wants close games. As soon as a team seems to be 'pulling away' or 'going for the dagger' the holdings and PI's come out.

See Cleveland game
See SD game
See NO game
