The front office did not make a mistake on Sanders. They kept him last year when they could have let him go for a draft pick. They knew he was good and that he was needed last year.
This year Sanders wanted out and Wheaton was set to take his place so the steelers let him walk.
That is the key to winning in the cap age. You need young players to replace guys who leave. If Jarvis and Worilds were actually good, then the pass rush would not have missed a beat without Harrison and Woodley.
