Any word on Tuitt or Green

Green was allowed to talk to the media today which is an indication that he is out of concussion protocol.

Someone tell me why Jesse James isn't worthy of being a starter in Lieu of green,,

I don't think that anyone thinks that James can't somewhat fill the void left by Green, however, Green brings a whooooole different element to this offense. Defenses respect Green more than they do James, and if they don't, he's just going to burn them.

Green is faster and is pretty much an oversized receiver. James is good. And should only get better as he learns. Just from an athletic standpoint, Green provides that threat

James has been starting. They have been placing Green as the outside receiver since Sammie Coates was back tracking.

Nothing wrong with having 2 tight ends with complementary skills. I don't know why some people obsess so much over whether Player A vs. Player B is the starter. If they both play roles that lead to winning football, that's great. Green is basically a giant wide receiver whereas James is the classic Steelers all-around tight end (poor man's Heath Miller).

We should withhold final judgement on the Green signing until midway through next season. Let's see how he does after a full and healthy offseason.

it would be great to see a lot of 2 TE sets when one of those is a true receiving threat like a healthy Green. THe other one, James, can be a true blocker/checkdown kind of TE

We have tons of cap room. Green's contract is fine

Green's medical situation is an issue, if he isn't fit for the long run a 1st or 2nd round TE should be a priority

Green's contract is fine

I'm sure he thinks so.

Look I don't have it out for Green. I don't LOVE James.

I'M just looking at facts. Production. vs Money vs Health.

He had a couple games where they threw to him a lot. He had some nice numbers. Could the same thing have happened had they thrown them to James or Grimble?

I'm not impressed. He's not impressive. Hes the same height as James. He's paid a **** load more money. Maybe we could sign a FA with that money. Please don't go into cap space, I know its getting bigger etc.

the top 15th contract is over 6M average, so I doubt we can get another with his measures and big play capacity (he averaged 16,9 yards per catch, that's huge, even better than Jimmy Graham or Kelce and both earn about 10M per season) with only 5M. The thing is, can he stay healthy for a full season or at least most of it?

Green's health is a problem. No question. Jesse James has played very well too. Thing is that Green creates a match up problem as a deep threat down the middle which forces the safety to respect that. Which creates the lane for AB'S bread and butter which is the deep slant, skinny post, dig/cross. It isn't so much what Green does its the threat he poses without Bryant and with Coates not doing what he did in the first part of the season.

James and Grimble had plenty of opportunities to do the things Green did. They can't. He is a better athlete then both. That being said there is room for all three on the team. Each bring a different skill set. There is no need to pit them against each other.

One thing that James has over Green is he knows our Offense inside and out. Maybe they ask more of Green as a Reciever but him (Green) and Ben don't seem to be on the same page all the time. I feel very comfortable with James in there. Ben knows he(James) will be at the spot he is suppose to be at. I don't know that you can say the same with Green. Green is a more explosive player with bigger splash play potential of course.

Green has produced almost as much as James in less than 1/2 the amount of playing time. Well, similar yards in half as many catches. We've only seen glimpses of what Green can do. A healthy Green and then imagine Bryant back on the field.

I understand he isn't bad. IM not sure he's as good as everyone is making him out to be, and for that price tag. That's all.

I wonder what the number of targets are/ were over these games. Whatever. Ithink you understand what I'm saying. And I understand that you love Green.

I'd just say see what happens in the playoffs and next season. The injuries are off-putting, but he's shown plenty on the field. James is shaping up to be a good clutch red zone and goal line guy, which is great too. I'm glad to have em both.

If you break down Green's games per salary you'll find he's a bit pricey.

On the other hand if he makes some huge plays in the playoffs or takes some pressure off AB, well that's a pretty big benefit that is kinda intangible. I'm just kinda irritated with Coates right now. Where the heck did HE go?

Those must be some pretty badly broken fingers. Makes you wonder what the recovery time would have been if they would have just done the damn surgery after the Jets game like almost three months ago. He finished that frigging game and there were stupid whispers that he might eclipse Brown. Really hard to understand this.
