I was not fine with it. It was ruled a catch. The replay showed it was a catch. It's not getting over ruled
The field goal was dumb. Boswell was having a rare bad day. And we needed touchdowns to come close.
It's not like we ask ask the defense to force a punt. Tomlin without Ben is exposed again.
Next time on 4th and 2, when down 11 points give the ball to Bell. DUH
The ruling isn't being disputed, I think the challenge was to break the momentum of the offense.
FG range was a stretch, but MT was showing confidence with Boz. And with a FG, you are only down one TD, not plural. I like the percentages with Bell on 4th down. Man, had he caught that pass on 3rd down he would have been off to the races.
Exposed? Most everyone felt NE would ramp up 40 points and run away with it. Both coordinators had good game plans. We kept Marcia under 300 yards and was in the game until the last missed FG. Tomlin, won't make any excuses, but when you are missing 3 offensive starters including your QB and the defense's best player and captain, and still kept the game close against that offense, I'd say we showed NE is beatable and not a supreme being like most pundits were saying.
