Vick meeting with Steelers

I would rather have Kordell Stewart back.

Just because Vick did his time, does not mean he won't pay for his choices for the rest of his life. His slate is not wiped clean.

I would feel the same way about Ben, IF had he been CONVICTED.

Dude did wrong, served his sentence, paid his debt to society. I'm okay with it.
Do I think that a veteran QB on the back nine of his career who is brand-new to the team and offense is better than Landry Jones who has been the #3 for three years?

As far as anything he has left in the football tank, I have absolutely no clue. As far as the dog fighting thing, give me a break. Some of you really need to grow up and join the adult world. There might be three guys in the locker room doing things just as bad or worse, depending on how you feel about abuse of humans and animals. F'k Adrian Peterson whipped his three year old kid with a stick and he will be on the top end of many of your Fantasy boards whether it is you or your friend that takes him. When Blount walked out on this team, I'd have taken the best available back. If Ray Rice was available and he was the best, why not? He is a player among 52. There are plenty of others to wear a white hat. So long as he is eligible, a decent team mate and produces. You think the PATs give a flying F'k about this stuff. And you can get on a high horse about them, but outside of the people like us who hate the Pats ,no one gives a ****.

Vick has played five years with the Iggles and Jets without incident. I'd worry more about our starting RB who is already going to miss the first two games (see above). A more pressing matter is for the team to keep their sandals on in the shower since Vick has the Herp.

Exactly. And if it was his first team back after the jail sentence/ suspension that is different. He was still playing to be the starting QB, which like it or not is the face of the franchise. That would be a huge distraction. This is his third team and most people really don't care. Me and my thirteen year old laughed about it. He is like, well he can't be worse then Landry Jones.

Well Del, I like a lot of your football commentary particularly around the draft prospects. But if you want this team to go 5-11 because of a guy they brought in to be an emergency QB at a time where there is really nothing out there, SMELL YA LATER.

Don't know. Don't care. I know where my money goes and it won't go to the Steelers. Or the NFL, I guess, since it is early enough to cancel Sunday Ticket. I won't send any merchandise back, but I can't cheer for the team with that guy on it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather they trade a 5th or 6th round pick for Tebow, but like I said the dude went to jail and served his punishment.

I'm physically laughing at some of you. I've hunted since I was 9 years old. No matter how hard you try, bad **** can happen on a hunt and an animal can suffer HORRIBLY gut shot lying in its own entrails for hours before it mercifully expires. Anyone leaving when Hartley became the kicker?

And Matt Flynn might well be a better football solution, like I said, I don't know what Vick has left. But let me say Matt Flynn has plenty of warts of his own from what I've heard of his time in Seattle. Zero work ethic and a team suckhole.
 
Glad some of you have figured it out. If you have a personal problem with Vick being on the team that is so bad that if offends you to your very core ... put up or shut up. Stop watching Steelers games. Stop buying Steelers gear. Stop going to games and buying concessions. Boycott the Steelers if they sign Vick. Hell, grab some poster board and some markers, make signs and go down to the team headquarters and picket. Take a stand damn it! Make yourselves feel better and actually DO SOMETHING other than ranting.

In the meantime, if any of you have season tickets ... PM me. No sense in that **** going to waste.

I've been a Steelers fans since before you were in diapers. Michael Vick is a **** of a person. The lowest of the low. I'd have a team full of Ray Rices over one ******* Michael Vick. I think what he did to innocent animals is only a tick above child abuse.

Whatever Roethlisberger did or didn't do, those woman had CHOICES leading up their encounters. That drunk girl in Melville didn't HAVE to where a DTF pin. She didn't HAVE to accept shot after shot after shot of free hard alcohol. She didn't HAVE to walk back that hallway with him to the bathroom.

I tell my kids all the time getting in real trouble or danger is often about making a BUNCH of bad choices in a row. Being in the wrong places.

When it comes to children and animals, they can't make those choices. It's just straight up torture. And it takes a very wicked and bad person to be able to follow through and do that over and over and over again and think it's "okay".

I can afford, as a fan of the Steelers, to kick a few seasons to the curb while this **** of a human is on the roster. And I don't need you to ******* lecture me.

Maybe I'll troll this year and laugh at how bad this team implodes because Vick brings that to every locker room. He's a cancer to young black players. Him and Desean Jackson and Lesean McCoy basically sold out the Philly locker room, starter doing whatever the hell they wanted and led to a 4-12 season. And it took a new coach 2 season to clean out the stink.

Vick sucks. The Steelers now suck. And I don't give a **** who the **** knows about it.
 
Well first off I find it a little hard to believe you were a fan when I was in diapers if you are still "telling your children" things. I'm in my forties. The NFL and all its fantasy lovers seem to be welcoming back Adrian Peterson. And like I said, cruelty to animals comes in many ways and forms friend. Including the delectable Tyson Chicken on your plate.
