My guess is the Bills end up regretting firing McDermott. He helped turn around a losing franchise that had not been to the playoffs for 17 years before he got there. It wasn't McDermott's fault Allen made multiple poor throws on the last couple of drives.
The TE Knox was wide open for a walk in winning TD on the play before the Bills had to kick the field goal that sent it to OT. If Allen doesn't throw that high, McDermott is still coaching the Bills next year.
