this team has absolutely zero aggression. none.
our only aggressive player on defense was Elliott. On offense, it's Warren - and we do not feature him enough.
All of that starts at the top - with a complacent head coach secure in his alleged legacy.
The roster is very talented, but not what they once were.
TJ's still TJ, but isn't going to get any better as he ages. And he's 31, on the downslide of his excellent career. Unfortunately, that looks like another Steelers career that will not have a Lombardi Trophy to go along with it.
Cam's along for the paycheck at this point, but was showing signs of slowing down for the previous season(s) depending on what you looked for.
Those two are the heartbeat and soul of our defense, and they come up invisible too often when a play is needed.
Who's our next best defender? Queen? Did he play today? Highsmith? Can't make plays from the hot tub. Porter? a virtual PI machine. Jalen Ramsey's made a very fine move to safety and is aggressive, but ...
On offense, we're entirely dependent upon Aaron bailing us out. This game proved it. How many times did we throw over the middle? DK is good, but he's not as good as I'd imagined. Certainly not as good as his paycheck says he should be when he gets outmuscled by smaller CBs.
The OL is decently good and is showing signs of trending upward... but we need a better OL coach. Which, we know isn't going to happen. Status quo next year.
This team is going nowhere. Nor will next year's. Nor will any future team until the guy at the top of this pile decides to put his goddamned shades aside, roll up his sleeves and get tenacious.
Judging by his career thus far, that isn't going to happen.
