Yes, it is only practice...

and no I did not watch the game but I was watching the Red Zone channel and it was on that game when Oliver caused the TO

I hope he destroys Brady next week.

That's a bad man right there. I hope he leaves Brady in the fetal position soon.

okay...those that doubt Oliver's strength, watch the second video on the link below....

Oliver played another game, and had but 1 solo tackle. That's it. In three games played he has just 3 solo tackles. His trademark tackles for losses ( vs. mostly weaker competition in college ) have not happened and he's been a zero in terms of sacks. 12 other defenders on the Bills have more total tackles.

As predicted, Oliver will get muscled in the NFL, won't be a pass rusher, and can't get off blocks well enough vs. NFL Caliber players to make plays. So far, my scouting report is 100% right on Oliver. Some mentioned he had similar measurements / timed drills to Aaron Donald. HAHAHA, okay.

How did Donald do in his rookie year? Oh, he had 9 sacks, 18 tackles for losses, 2 forced fumbles, and 37 solo tackles. Something tells me Ed won't come close to matching ANY of these numbers. No one can say Oliver is a bust yet, but we can see he's off to a very slow start. I'll take a gander and say it's not due to lack of effort. He's just an undersized NFL Tackle without pass rush ability who has issues holding his ground and shedding blocks to make tackles.

you have not watched a single ******* play...likely not even the one I posted the link to where he threw the OG on the ground...but YOU know how he is doing.

He is getting pressures on the QB and holding blockers off the LBs who are making a bunch of tackles. He is also a part of an 8 man rotation on the OL, but for a guy you claim can't get pressure, is typically put out there for 3rd down plays or obvious passing situations.

Comparing how DLs are used from one scheme to another is a reach at best. From what I've read, the Bills are happy with his production and say he is doing a good job of filling his role, which typically is taking up blockers for the LBs.

But go ahead and pat yourself on the back about **** you don't ******* know anything about you ******* twatwaffle.

Bawhahaha yes I have. The Steelers had a 4:25PM start, so I watched some of the Bills game. Your boy isn't making plays. How many BS excuses can you come up within a season? Sure, any NFL team is going to defend their 1st round pick, especially early in the season.

If I wanted to, I could show DL players picked after him that are doing better. What is this, you say he's part of an 8 man rotation on the OL? Wrong side of the ball.. YKSAF! ( Figure that one out )
By the way there are QB pressures, Oliver has but 1.

Now please post another superman link on underpowered Ed. He must be facing All Pro lineman every game, right?

coach you are likely the only poster here I would call a liar.....

I haven't seen any of the bungles game but i watched most of the other two

he is getting push on the OL and on one play his pressure forced the qb to slide left, right into another defender who got the sack

He is playing well....just not racking up tons of stats....which is the only way YOU judge players

A bit more data for Coolie.

Oliver currently ranks 108 among defensive lineman in total tackles.

78 defensive lineman register in the sack department, he's not one of them.

To add a bit more color, the three games he started were vs. bad teams in the Jets, Giants, and Bengals. The Jets have given up the 3rd most sacks ( 13 ) the Bengals the 6th most sacks ( 11 ) and the Giants the 15th most sacks ( 7 ). A pretty easy start if you ask me, but the plays made just aren't there. No one wants to hear, but, but, but, he flushed a QB out once, and the other defender sacked him. The same could be said for all NFL starting defensive lineman.

Let's see how he does this weekend. I'm thinking zero sacks, and maybe 1 solo tackle and assisted tackle, which is par for the course of obscurity in the NFL among starters...okay I'm exaggerating its pretty bad production.

The above is factual data. Nothing you can say will change it. But I do have one question. Maybe you can help me? How's he doing in practice? :bump2:

Here is some more factual data. You're still butt hurt over losing that bet. Let it go man, you're making yourself look like a mental midget.

I love it. We have a 10-page thread going about a Buffalo Bills interior defensive lineman who has four total tackles on the season (two unassisted).

I'm sure even Bills fans would be impressed.

Sean Davis should of never been picked by us we had better option Karl Joseph Vonnie Bell and several better all around S's Davis is what scouts said he was just a hard hitter not great range or playmaking ability.

I hope the M'Fer busts through the line and knocks Brady on his *** and introduces him to his new neighbor, Ben.

Everybody loves the Bills, just not this week

one day you will learn that stats are not the only way to judge players. If the player is fulfilling his assignment which for an interior DL can mean taking up blockers so the LBs can make tackles

Oliver has been playing well, He has pushed the OL back and forced the QB to move into other guys who got the sack. He has dropped back off the line and covered for a blitzing LB in coverage. From all accounts he is playing well and the stats will come.

I guess you just like to fall back on stats since you don't watch games and have no other way to judge players (and don't lie, you have posted before that you didn't see games (even Steeler games) and still wanted to post like you knew what went on) It is okay to admit you were wrong about a player. Even if it is one I called out 2 years before he was drafted and knew he would go high in the draft.

Coolie, sit back and enjoy a Homebrew........

Coach, stats. Here is one for you...........

Coach Tomlin has an empeckable win / loss record. Would you say he is the best or 2nd best coach in the NFL......?

If a stat line can go in that direction why can't a stat line work in reverse? A player playing above his stat line?

Pretty simple

Salute the nation

Tomlin is a mediocre coach. That said, he is still a top five, or at least top ten, coach in the NFL because almost everyone else is mediocre too.
Currently there is Belicheat and 31 fucktards.

Pro Football Focus will be contributing to BNblitz.com all season long.

While the offense has done enough to keep the Bills unbeaten through three weeks, the defense has been downright dominant, limiting their opponents to less than 16 points per game.

Among the standout playmakers on defense so far has been first-round draft pick Ed Oliver, the defensive tackle chosen at No. 9 overall.

Using the Premium Stats available with PFF Elite subscriptions, we analyzed the rookie interior defender’s impact to start his debut season with the Bills.

The Bills’ ability to recognize Oliver’s skill set has paid off in a major way during their perfect start to the season. The rookie has posted a 75.3 overall pass-rush grade, in the top 20 among all interior defenders with 50 or more snaps this season, and third among first-year defenders. He has also generated 10 total pressures on the quarterback (nine hurries and one quarterback hit), which is among the top 15 among all interior defenders and first among rookies.

But the week-by-week breakdown of Oliver’s performance proves that the Bills are allowing the rookie to flourish in their versatile 4-3 defensive scheme.

Week 1 vs. the Jets

Oliver was a force against the Jets in Week 1 as he graded better than 75.0 as both a pass rusher and a run defender. He ended the game with a defensive stop against the run and five total pressures – Nick Bosa was the only rookie to have more in Week 1.

Week 2 vs. the Giants

The Bills’ rookie defender added two more pressures and a batted passes to his first-year pass-rush résumé.

Week 3 vs. the Bengals

Another week, another multi-pressure outing. In his third game, against the Bengals, Oliver produced three hurries from just 24 pass-rushing snaps.

Through three weeks, his pass-rush win rate of 14.1% ranks 18th among 55 qualifying interior defenders.

The competition gets a little tougher for Oliver against the Patriots in Week 4 as their interior offensive line has allowed only 15 total pressures on 124 pass-block snaps. As always, getting pressure on Tom Brady will be a key in the Bills’ hopes in pulling the upset.
