WTF are we doing?

As it stands now, it looks like our plan was to replace dumb and incompetent (Tomlin) with old, fat and boring (McCrappy). And apparently we didn’t get enough mediocrity at the QB position last year because our jackass owner and poser GM thought it would be a good idea to run that back. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they’re trying to sign Grandpa Rodgers to a 3 year, fully guaranteed deal.

I’d go two years but not three.. 😉

There were people here that wanted a wet noodle armed Ben to come back...let's keep it real. Meanwhile GOAT can still make every throw at a ridiculous level of accuracy.
There were alot of people saying he was holding the franchise back by coming back too, and he was an all time franchise great, Rodgers hasn't done anything for this organization.
Wet noodle arm Ben threw 55 TD's his final two seasons here behind a worse Oline and not having a top 4 paid WR like DK. Dionte Johnson had 195 catches for 2100 yards and 15TD's Wet Noodles final two seasons, Claypool with Wet Noodle had 10 TD's as a rookie.
GOAT can't make all the throws, he's afraid of contact and won't take a hit to make a throw, and can't move anymore.

You’re going to get Coryea all hot and bothered with that talk.
Nope, I saw Ben's final season, which is why I'm so against Rodgers, very similar, both can't move, neither wants to take a hit to make a play and there's nothing wrong with that if you're retired, there's alot wrong with that if you're the QB of an NFL team that hasn't WON ANYTHING since 2016(Ben earned his final season here, he's a franchise all time great). I'm sick of this team looking like a damn laughing stock of the NFL, we make fun of the Bengals and Browns all the time, they've actually won a playoff game this decade, Cincy has been to a damn Super Bowl, and F'ing Cleveland won a playoff game in Pittsburgh more recent than we have, and they took two QB's last draft and played them both. But yeah lets sit around and wait on a Geriatric QB to decide if he wants to play one more year, and then make the announcement on his terms. Again it's a pathetic look that we're going to start another season with a washed up QB for the 5th straight season.

At the right price and if he’s willing to sign before the draft eliminating another Aaron cycle I’m all
for a move like that.
I would prefer him mainly because he still has better mobility than Rogers at this point in his career…
Their abilities to drive the ball down field and make all the throws are comparable at this point.
The difference is the legs are still there for cousins more so than Rogers in my opinion

What we are hearing about the 2027 QB class is exactly what we heard about the 2026 QB class. Anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 of the names they're talking about for next year are the same guys that weren't good enough to enter the draft this year. We'll be very lucky if there are 3-4 first-round prospects in this group, with the latter 1-2 having question marks.
Time out. We don’t know how the 2026 draft class is going to be. It’s not a forgone conclusion the 2026 draft class is bad. You won’t know for sure until 4 years from now.

The fact that some of you are using Dulac as your source is hilarious. His track record of what he guarantees is pathetic.

All valid points for sure. One needs to look no further than at the man behind the curtain for the problems of this franchise. Art II is the problem and has been the problem and refuses to allow the franchise to rebuild.
Held on to Tomlin far too long and it took Tomlin to actually fire himself since this owner was willing to run it back with him again.
Then he hired a twice fired retread almost 63 year old coach rather than follow the blueprint of hiring a much younger defensive minded coach. Even a young offensive minded coach would have been fine.
Art is behind this Rogers bs and by bringing in Mike McCarthy was a big step in securing Rogers.
Art the II remains the real problem and until he’s gone it’s business as usual.

Yep. Our owner is a cuck loser who would have given numb nuts another contract if the city didn’t boo his *** out of town. Until Pappy Gooney is gone, our strategy should be to tank and collect draft picks. We’re not going anywhere with fat Coach McCrappy and Grandpa Rodgers.

Here's how blind I am
As you've already admitted, they don't include bad throws on highlight reels. Will Howard's highlight tape from the combine looks just great, too.

Yes, Rodgers can still make some nice throws while he's moving. He also made a shitload of inaccurate ones, too. This is backed up by both the eye test and his shltty accuracy statistics. Here's another stat line for you, since you enjoyed the first one so much:

CAY is Completed Air Yards. That's how far the pass is completed past the line of scrimmage. The top three quarterbacks in CAY per completion last season were Lamar Jackson (7.7), Drake Maye (7.5), and Matt Stafford (7.4). There were 33 qualifying QBs in 2025. Geno Smith was #32 at 4.3. Who was dead last? You guessed it -- Rodgers at a paltry 3.7. Less than half of the best number, and over a half yard less than the second-worst guy. Pathetic. And this only compounds how bad his overall on-target percentage was, a full percentage point below the league average, despite the ridiculous amount of short throws in that sample.

I will say the offensive system had something to do with this. I hope anyways.

AJ Brown averaged 20 yards per catch and Tannehill was near the top of the league in yards per attempt and yards per completion that year under Smith, but I'm sure Tomlin really cuffed him.

I remember Ben, he had to deliver the ball very quickly due to the porous OL and the defense knowing the play and stacking the box with huge overload. I don’t remember the number but it was the fastest delivery in the NFL, and done out of survival.

That statement of accuracy about Rodgers may be true to a degree, but a little pressure and he ditched it rather than be hit. I’m not going to look up his completion percentage, but pretty sure it wasn’t “ridiculously high” so that is a little over statement.

We all know Rodgers is coming back, but I think we should still take a risk on a “Allar” type risk. We need to move forward and the risk vs the geriatric is well worth a shot.

Simpson in the first round is a mistake. I chiseled it in stone.

Did you do that while playing with your jack-hammer bit…….?

:) HHHaaaahahahhhhaaaa

We do know that the first round was expected to feature Arch Manning, Drew Allar, Garrett Nussmeier, LaNorris Sellers, with an outside chance of Fernando Mendoza. Cade Klubnik and Carson Beck were highly thought of as well. Now we are sitting with only 1 surefire first-round pick in Mendoza, possibly Ty Simpson. The class, in terms of prospect rating, is bad.

I've heard this too, but I don't think I've ever seen or heard of a 6th round QB with zero NFL game experience including not even getting pre season game snaps being handed the starting job.
Brady and Purdy needed the starter to get injured.
