With the 102nd overall pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select OLB Alex Highsmith

Seriously? It's 1am on day two of the draft an all you ******* are absent? I mean **** guys, come on!
Had to take the Dobes out still here! Steelers took two 1 year wonders with good production. Small school concerns with this pick but I think as a situational pass rusher he can at least contribute this year.

It was the third round *******. Yes it was compensatory but it still was the 3rd so go **** yourself

YOU said it was the second...l said the third...at 102...might as well be early 4th....

You know why you aren't paid to judge talent? You don't have a ******* clue

if you weren't such a troll....he was projected as 3rd or 4th.....the Steelers got him at 102

not a bad pick....

Hey keep sucking Mike's dick. How does it taste? This guy is no 3rd round talent....not in this deep draft....its idiots like you who keep defending the FO when they make dumb picks.....I bet you said Dri Archer was projected to go where he went.

Don’t love the pick but don’t hate it. I think we have bigger needs and there were better players on the board. I think this is a development guy and will take 2 years to get a return but kid has a lightening first step, hot motor, football IQ. He is undersized and going to take a huge step in level of competition. Boom or bust player.

I'm not sucking anyone's dick troll..Mike doesn't have final say on picks anyway troll...

I never took a side in the Archer debate...

you think he sucks...find a few people who projected him as a late round or UDFA talent...

I'm not going to **** on the pick. I know nothing of the guy. I'm just going to say this. After the Claypool pick I talked a little smack (but I know Claypool is something of a reach). Went to my buddies place for a couple of drinks on his deck. He had a TV set up. It was the start of the third round. It got to be around 70 something and Cushberry was there. Could they have traded the compensatory or not. Because I would have packaged up that pick and most of the rest of my draft for Cushberry. Then barring injury, you have the all pro in Minkah. A boom bust in Claypool (which I feel he will at least be a long term starter) and a sure thing good interior lineman. How much better could you do?

thedraftnetwork.com had him at 98, I didn't love the pick but you saying he was going undrafted is ridiculous. You must be drunk (at least drunker than me)

Draftscout, com had him as their 5th highest rated OLB with a projection of 3rd/4th round.

Typo ..meant 3rd home. If I had 20 years dedicating myself to finding talent I definitely would do a better job and if I had 20 years dedicated to coaching and learning the ins and outs of the NFL I'd be a better coach than Tomlin because I'm smarter than both of them. A retard however can see this was a bad pick

Only thing I would change is I would have made the move for Josh Jones..but yeah, that is a homer pick on my part....

If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle...

sorry you hate the pick, but your opinion just doesn't ******* matter.

Have you found anyone who said he would go undrafted yet??? Yeah I didn't think so.

Every year folks rush on here to be the first to take a crap on one, two or all of the draft picks. Hell, I'm guilty of it myself because I really wanted Dobbins and was upset with the Claypool pick. But, I'll back Claypool and hope he becomes an All-Pro. I mean, you don't have to like the pick. But, at least give the kid a chance to actually suck before you say he sucks. lol

I really wanted Josh Jones there...but a big, speedy WR....very tempting at that spot. If he can become a solid redzone target for Ben in the next couple of years I will be very happy with this pick IF

Draftscout, com had him as their 5th highest rated OLB with a projection of 3rd/4th round.

5th best OLB? Lol go look at the OLBs taken before him ...count to 5.....you can do that right? Hes better than the 5th guy and the 6th guy? Walter Football doesnt have him in his top 26 at his position. Kiper had him as the 25th best OLB.....find some drunk homeless man who did some spot editing for the site you are referring to and sure hes the 5th rated OLB. He will amount to NOTHING in the NFL.

Settle down and slow down with the insults. You didn't like someone else playing the IF game yet here you are strutting yourself. They obviously were high on the two they picked. Maybe they will work out maybe they won't. Luckily they have two 4ths. More opportunities to find a diamond in the rough. The way you fly off the handle 20 years could fly by with you still being inept as a scout or GM.

You see these other teams were making trades. Seattle and New England all the time. how much would it have cost to move up 15 spots or so and Take Cushberry or Gallimore? Either one of those guys is on the field this year for sure (If there is a season). And you know for a fact that the Steelers wanted Muse where they picked. Again, I'm not ******** on Highsmith. Sounds like he has a high ceiling. But the draft could have easily been made with a good third round trade.

If he played in the SEC or even the Big Ten then he probably would have gone in the 1st or even 2nd round. If you look at his tape and the array of moves he already has it’s crazy. A ton of upside as a comp pick at the end of the 3rd who can play ST then sign me up!

coolie is making friends again.

WHo is this guy ? Coach's brother?

This pick tells you a few things. 1. They know they need a replacement for bud. For next year , if he walks. 2. They don't have much confidence in OLA. 3. We don't have enough *** to make a move on a chase young. 4. No olineman picked here, Feiler is moving to Guard.

You sir, are either drunk, have anger issues or didn't receive enough hugs as a child. This amount of rage about a draft pick is alarming. Are you OK? Is the lock down/social distancing thing breaking you? They have hotlines that can help.

coolie don't give a ****....he's been drinking all night

I just like fucktards who slam picks they have likely NEVER seen play a down and likely have not read one single word of draft analysis....but they are ******* experts.

Hell the kid might bomb out...or he could improve further with NFL coaching, weight training and nutritional direction the kid could become a stud....you roll the dice and play place your bets

when it comes to LBs or WRs...I'll bet on the Steelers to choose right

you forgot the "he's a little *****" option

Alex Highsmith might just be one of the better OLB in the NFL Draft. Just because he's from Charlotte doesn't mean anything. The entire Clemson team showed him tremendous respect when they played Clemson. The entire O-line said he was the best OLB they faced all year. You can see he's got the motor and the skills to make it at an NFL level.

'Tweener DE sack specialists from lower level college competition are a dime-a-dozen. In fact, the Steelers drafted one in the sixth round last year (Sutton Smith), and waived him in August.

There's no reason to waste the second pick of an already abbreviated draft on a player like this.
