Vick meeting with Steelers

Accomplished more.. accomplished more then Alot of starting QBs as a matter of fact. In his prime he was a monster no pun intended. His replacement in Atlanta with better talent hasn't taken the Falcons farther. He did some thing incredibly stupid and paid the price for it. He is no where the talent he was but is a upgrade over anything we had even before Bruce's injury. I hope he never sees the field but only because I want Ben out there for all 16 games. Not because of what he did because he was punished already for that.

"He did something incredibly stupid", Ok, you can say that about someone who drove drunk one time or shoplifted or smoked a joint. Someone who can beat a dog to death by slamming its head on the ground repeatedly has something seriously wrong with him. That's not an"Oops! Sorry, my bad." That's something evil and sadistic inside of someone. So he was punished, does that change what kind of low class scum of a person he is? If he hadn't been caught he'd probably still be doing it.

2. You "know" Tomlin is at the root of this? How? Did your crystal ball tell you so? Or, as usual is it a case of del doesn't like what was done, so it "MUST" be Tomlin's fault. I'm beginning to think there's a little more at work here than you just not liking the coach. Some other "deep seated" issue.

Tomlin did want to sign Vick when he was released from prison in 2009, but the Rooneys were not in favor of it. Ben also had some issues during the same time period.

**** you. Don't respond to me.

You stand for nothing. You are a shill for a BAD HUMAN BEING and now a shill for an organization that somehow wants to sell you this **** of a human being as a football player.

This organization is a disgrace.

Temper, temper my good man. It's quite possible that some of us are just as tired of your constantly negative, everything is Tomlin's fault, holier than thou, B.S. as you are of our optimism. Personally, I could care less whether you post or don't post as your posts all seem to follow one of two scripts anyway. Either you are lecturing about how some move the Steelers made is terrible and you would have done blah, blah, blah or you are ranting about Tomlin/Colbert.

You should probably just settle down and watch a good movie. Might I suggest:

Falling Down.jpg

Seems like it might be up your alley.

And, I might note (for the mod's benefit) that I have responded to your curses and other extraneous barbs without resorting to cursing you in return.

When does your self imposed exile from everything Steelers start.

You and I have been on the same side of many discussions here. I've maintained all along that if people disagree so vehemently with the way the FO is running the team or how the team is coached why would you waste time watching the team or spend so much time criticizing. It's not the same as "you aren't a real fan", but that is how it is characterized.

This signing I can't understand and it is a move with which I vehemently disagree. As such, why would I watch the team play? I'm not going to spend any time celebrating every loss or bad play. I just won't watch or give a **** what happens while that **** stain is on the team.

This is the ONE player I can ever remember truly hoping gets injured. That hope doesn't stop just because he puts on a Steelers jersey.

I understand that. But, that was at that time. My question was how does he know that Tomlin is at the root of this at the present time?

That's okay.

If the guy wears a Steelers uniform and kills a dog, that's okay to AndrewJosh. Hell, let's rip it's eyes out and have it ****** up the *** by 10 horny dogs while it's in a chain. That's what Vick and his friends did while smoking joints and laughing.

And hell, let's hang a dog by chains in the air while we laugh and electrocute it to death. How much you wanna bet the first shock didn't kill it AndrewJosh? You laughing yet? You laughing like Vick and his buddies? You wanna smoke a joint and laugh with me?

Your support of this is AMAZING. Absolutely ******* amazingly embarrassing.

I knew you were a shill, but I always thought you had some smarts. Now I know you're just stupid and a shill.

People have the right to be appalled and storm out if they want... it comes with being a passionate fan... I understand why the people who are upset are upset, but personally I don't think its a meaningful or useful action. Vick did some terrible crimes, but nothing that was deemed worthy of life in prison or death. The NFL opted to allow him back in after he served prison time then did a **** ton of other community service, which has never ended to this day. he poses no threat to dogs anymore... for him to do anything to one would effectively end his life.

Once a ******* Newport Newz crowd, always a Newport Newz crowd. I bet Tomlin's been to a few dog fights back in the day too.

Like I said, if a video existed, I bet people wouldn't be so forgiving.

What is useful?

Sitting here and taking it and saying "I'm still a fan no matter what?"

Believe me. I'm mad tonight but tomorrow I'm going to write letters and do as MUCH AS I CAN to express my disappointment with Art Rooney II. Because this all falls back on him.

I can only do so much. I'm not going on some killing rampage. I'm not buying a gun. I can write letters. I won't buy ANY PRODUCT that sponsors the Steelers (if anyone has a list of major Steelers sponsors, please let me know). I will WRITE every sponsor telling them I will not buy their products until Vick is no longer a Steelers.

That's all I can do. It's horribly inadequate, but it is what it is.

P.S. I can also boo and root against the Steelers now, which I will.

I'm sort of tech-challenged. But can I "upload" some Ativan to you? I think you need it, badly.

Because 1+1=2. I'm not saying in it a combative way, but it just makes too much sense.

There are MANY post that I want to respond to - but, I won't...

Way back when the Mike Vick story broke - and this was eluded to earlier in the thread - dog fighting, a rising problem in the South was a way of life. Unfortunately, Mr. Vick, bank rolled and participated in this activity AND he was arrested, charged and served his time for this crime.

Here's what I want to know - and I really think I know the answer already; but, if someone is brave enough to reply then let's hear it...For all of you who are upset with the signing of Mike Vick, because of his disgusting Southern lifestyle - WHAT ARE YOUR FEELINGS ON THE REBEL FLAG that continues to fly and is being purchased "because that's just how we were"???

Both of these topics can easily be tied together and if you despise ONE---then without a doubt---you should despise the other.

Discuss.

Ark I have no problem with you feeling that way. I wish you didn't cause I'm going to miss your unbiased input on the games. We could debate back and forth but it would be useless. You have strong feelings on the matter. I really don't. I'm not a pet owner never had one don't like them. That being said I know what he did was wrong. So because I'm not a dog lover I don't see the difference in any animals. IMO if your upset about what he did you should be upset about hunting horse racing etc. What makes one any less evil. All the same to me. But like I said I'm different. I've never been close with an animal. So I respect your decision.

As is your right to do.

Im simply stating that Im not holding what he did against him or the team because I see some effort to attone for a very evil enterprise. That is my choice.

I didn't take it as combative. Just saying that there is nothing to indicate that Colbert didn't pick up the phone and call Vick's agent. Not saying it happened that way either. I don't know. And until I hear definitively, it would just be speculation on my part.

Bruce's hand must be awfully bad, and they cant have any faith in Jones at all, otherwise why would they risk this kind of bad publicity....

I'm surprised you're surprised. Before I started reading I knew, by name those, that would unquestionably support the signing and condemn anyone opposed to it. They all fell in lockstep.

Whoa buddy you are truly becoming unhinged. Like I said if you felt so strongly about Mike Vick why are you just thinking about boycotting. When he was reinstated you should of been boycotting the NFL. Oh because he wasnt on the team you rooted for it was OK. Hypocrisy at its best.

Wanted to make sure given some of the other back and forth. However, even if Colbert makes the call, he knows that Tomlin likes him and would welcome him onto the roster.

Well, Gradkowski did go on the IR.

In all honesty had Vick signed here right out of prison as rumored I might be on the other side of this debate. It was a good amount of charity work done afterwards that made me quit caring about the douche playing football.

**** you andrewjosh and the Tomlin and organization **** slobbering you do on a daily basis.

The fact you are defending this move tells me all I need to know about the kind of fan you are. Stand up for something if you life worth a ****.

This is it.

I used to think there was no line that would cross my "fandom" but this is it. Today is the LAST day I'm on this board as a Steelers fan.

After this, I'm all in troll until they kick me the **** out. Every ******* loss this team has, I'm showing up.

In the so-called god moderators want to kick me tonight, do it. And **** them for censoring any type of discourse to the ******* horseshit pro-Steeler bullshit that is on here day-in, day-out. This is entirely a reflection of the disgrace this organization has become under the watch of Art Rooney II and Mike Tomlin. I have no doubt we have gone over a threshold that we will never come back from. The Tomlin extension. The Colbert extention. The signing of Vick.

This is NOT an organization I can be proud to stand behind.

So **** you. **** your season. You stand for nothing.

Piss off already
