Tomlin sucks

"We are about to begin that process with each guy individually and tailor programs to bring the best out of them and to gain some clarity about what the journey of improvement is going to look like, because that is how we collectively improve. At the appropriate time, we are going to analyze our schematics and our division of labor from a coaching staff perspective in an effort to do similar things. That’s a good component of it for us, to study the trends within the game, our place within those trends, whether we are on the right side of the curve or whether we are lagging. There is a lot of discussion to be had."
Honestly, when he talks like that, who DOESN'T want to punch him in the face?

Is he planning for a congressional run, you know in 30 years after he has finally left the Steelers (of his own accord, obviously.)

We know what he can do in NFL stadiums with his body of work on tape. We don't apologize for it. The Congressional Run and things of that nature are elevator music at this point, or until we state our case in pursuit of a championship Congressional Run.

Some want him gone tomorrow...................................... and in politics the next day, a man has to have at least one day off...................................

Of course, and a genius too as evidenced by his end of season presser (yeah, he really said that):

Which is why Josh Pray videos on YouTube are awesome.

From the 2010-2019 season, (A 9 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks.

WE WILL NOT WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WITH MIKE TOMLIN AS OUR HEAD COACH. So why delay the inevitable?

Dolphin fans in the 90’s who wanted to hold on to Don Shula for what he did in the 70’s...

** hawaiiansteel, ( a poster in another website) your a real little *****. And your a coward because you don’t say a word to Steelz09. Your a real sissy.

If this poster is on another website, keep it over there don't bring the crap here. Again it is "you're". What you're doing is showing your ignorance which looks to be in abundance.

Wait, who really said what?

Tomlin REALLY said this at end of season presser. Contrary to intuition and SNL skit conditioning, these are actual words:

We all saw how Tomlin coached the last few games and for his being one of the elite he did not fair so well on the field. We as Steeler fans are stuck with him. I see no improvement of any coaches he has hired after a bad season as other teams are moving on with the game of today hiring coaches with a different look to the game and some imagination. Watching other teams we see this imagination, throwing in wrinkles that go against the NFL game but have worked. WE really have witnessed needing a TE that is a play maker yet Tomlin continues to over look this. So s it Tomlin or his system or the fact we dod not have coaches that can teach and make players we have better? Same questions as we ask every year.

He got his 8 wins and anything after that is just salad, baby.

And if nobody eats no salad, Hey... who likes salad anyway?

Let us rep what our salad has sewn. I can not battle my forefother's enemies without knowing what is in my salad. If a salad is judged by wins and losses then I want equal value that way no salad that is a loser as well as no salad that is a winner, it's just want SALAD.

You clearly are not looking for comfort, and don't apologize for it. Let's continue to try and build a world championship message board and watch closely what the men do in the threads on Sundays as we only get 10,000 chances to state our collective cases.

You saw the real Tomlin when expectations were placed on him to beat a team he was suppose to beat in the jets. That was the key game down the stretch. We win that game and we make the playoffs.

That's what Tomlin do.

Simply keeping AB from full blown *** clown that he is now shows you he’s a great coach!
I've heard this many times in regular life recently. A couple things I would like to say about that. Yes he was able to keep a lid on AB for a lot of years and at the same time get a hell of a lot of production out of him, but if AB was causing huge problems in the locker room would a guy like Noll or Belichik allowed him to fester like that. Or would it have been better to get a **** ton of value before he became a public mess.
But ok if you want to be glass half full. Yes he is good at managing people. I won't deny that. And that is a pretty important past of coaching. But not the only thing. So is teaching people. Tomlin can never just fix something. He can only add talent. And that was never more on display then the acquisition of Fitz this season. He couldn't just coach up a guy and scheme a problem. He had to add a pro bowl player.

I dont think it was a matter of expectations. I think the game plan got flipped on him and he was unable to respond. What the Steelers did was say we are going to hide our offense and get our defense to win games. In those games like the Bill's, the Jets and the Ravens. The opponent said ok. We will do the same. And because Tomlin plays checkers he had no quick response. Unfortunately, he could not add a pro Bowl qb to solve his problems.

Yeah and you get bashed for it, but it's painfully obvious that Tomlin is clueless, especially when his game plan fails

Tomlin should be finished. The Steelers hurt their chances sticking with Tomlin for as long as he did. What do the Steelers have just three playoff winning season in the past 10 years? Yep. The best news, his contract is up in 2021, so they won't have to fire him.

Yep, he's long past his expiration date. I'd say he expired with the home debacle vs the Jags coming off a bye. Was souring way before even that with the Tebowing Humiliation Ritual. Few have done less with more.

Read the bold text only. He just says random ****. nothing about that sentence makes sense.

That's Tomlin's singular talent that stands out above his peers: The ability to say a lot without saying anything at all.

So true. The guy is made for politics really. He can take a simple yes no question and convolute it into three sentences that really do not answer the question. And I've never really been one for that at all. I have always thought that is insecurity. I have to sound a **** load smarter than I really am. To me intelligence is really about taking complex ideas and problems and simplifying them. Like I don't know what he is trying to say with the "in an effort to do similar things" part, that could be in relationship to the question. But the answer to the rest of it really is. We have to look at our players and coaches to do better next year. Some will stay and some will go.
