TJ Watt

They put Watt on the left side this year, same great play as last year. They put Dupree on the right side, same shotty play as last year.

The switch to the left side worked for him. Dupree.....mmmm not so much.

Wasn’t moving Watt to the left supposed to be harder for him? And Dupree would get those easy sack that Watt got?

No Watt is his natural side now too

Not Dupree's natural side if I am correct - remember right. They just were trying to make him more effective.

But he still gets pushed out of too many plays against the run and pass.

Solid is an understatement. I'd call it spectacular - especially considering he missed the entire pre-season. I believe 4 sacks in one game is already half of what our best guy had last year. He should easily go past 10 this year and maybe past 15 sacks.

That man was a human wrecking ball today. Loved it!

don't forget may have "saved" the game with a blocked fg too

Yeah. He was on fire today.
Not bad for just being solid. But tbh, I think he's still got a lot more to show us this season.
He may become a defensive powerhouse like his bro

He was incredible today. He got his sacks by beating blocks, as opposed to Dupree, who was unblocked 3 or 4 times and overran Taylor or got juked out of his jock.

He really was. And what a workhorse on every single play and I'm liking the swagger. This is just the beginning with this guy I think.

Thing with Dupree wasn't he facing a rookie tackle?

Undrafted rookie

Un-freaking believable. But truth is, Dupree was a non-factor even when not blocked. Seriously, on two plays he had a direct, unblocked run at Taylor and did nothing.

The first time, Taylor jukes and Dupree is waving at the rainy weather. The next time, Dupree is set to kill Taylor ... and pulls up, afraid of getting juked again.

Marcus "Bud" Dupree ... don't even think about blocking him; he blocks himself.

Dupree had a sack plus several pressures, was the victim of an illegal block and was hardly the problem today. The 6 turnovers on offense killed us.

.
Everyone gets evaluated. Dupree did just....OK....against an UDFA rookie LT who he should have dominated. He's didn't.

For as bad as Dupree has looked in the past, he at least had a respectable game today. There were plenty of games last year you didn't even know he was on the field.

The 6 turnovers are the top 10 reasons for the loss.

Dupree's inability to sack Taylor when he is unblocked 2-3 times was clearly a contributing factor. Dupree's inability to hold the edge on Taylor's TD run was a factor. Dupree's inability to hold the edge on a long run by Chubb played a role.

Dupree's very spotty performance was a contributing factor. Look, the six @#$%ing turnovers were 30 years of smoking to the lung cancer that this game was, but Dupree's contribution was the massive amount of fat in the diet and lack of exercise.

Was it the primary cause of the loss, err, tie-that's-really-a-loss? No, not even close. Did it contribute to the tie-that's-really-a-loss?

Damn right it did.
