I think you're confusing him with Jarvis. That was JJ's only pass rush move. Bud at least has speed, size, and athleticism, as well as better hands and a few different pass rush moves. Plus he had 10 pressures, and if he rushed appropriately, could have had 4 sacks as well. I'm at least seeing something to get excited about, instead of watching the definition of insanity.

Naw Bud definitely over pursues plays and loses contain. Its not an echo its a rinse, repeat deal with him. If he can turn that around this year playing the strong side then I'd pay him long term otherwise I'm letting him walk and drafting another OLB

It was an Echo since MT posted twice, not due to his play.

I saw quite a few pressures where he did outside in moves, and also when he walked his player back into the pocket. He isn't Jarvis, who's only move was the run all the way around the back of the QB by 8 yards. You'll notice when he gets a multiple sack game. It's coming, and it's on film from the Cleveland game. He's very close.

Personally, I like having 2 Batmen on DL!

I'm actually really impressed with Durpree, he made more plays in that first game than he did for half of the season. He's really fast and runs himself out of plays, but with proper coaching and dicipline, He could have had 4 sacks also.

Coulda shoulda woulda

In also re-watched the game and BUD DUPREE really did do a good job. He is getting close and the sacks will come. He also was pretty good in coverage. This could be a big year for him and I hope it is. It also helps our LBs that BOTH Stephone & Cam are healthy as those two got after it big time.

Just an aside, but the crazy thing about Jarvis Jones (because yes, he was a colossal bust) was that he gave future HOFer Joe Thomas fits. Yes. Yes, it's true. Thomas would always stone Harrison -- but somehow, some way, Jarvis was his kryptonite. Well, that's a little hyperbolic but he definitely had his best games against Thomas. Will post the proof when I find it (or be sent to the pit of misery).

Same here. I fear Bud is a 10 cent head and therefore will never truly reach what his athletic potential will allow. And don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the guy like crazy.
