Steelers VS Indy game thread.

A little. But not necessarily a bad thing. The alternative is being non conservative and turning the ball over. You Pickett.
Agreed.

Name me some franchise QBs besides Josh Allen who miss guys that bad even in year 1...I know that Ben guy didnt
Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubauch, Jim Plunkett, Steve Young, Brett Favre, John Elway, there are soooo many rookie QB's who turned out pretty damn good.....those are just a few guys that did ok throughout their careers at QB. Are you just one of those Millennial Buff00ns with no patience or just a dumb ***?

Franchise QB's don't miss guys that open like Pickens in the end zone, period. There's no excuse for it and 1 bad pass can make a difference between a win and loss

I'm cheering for the guy, but he missed badly like that twice last week too.

Hopefully it's mechanics and fixable. Hopefully we have a coach competent enough to help him....
It looked to me like it was a 2nd read and he was late delivering and had to zip it. So id say yeah bad pass due to slow read.

Ok let's see what adjustments are made and what aren't...

This first series is big for our defense. We allowed last two drives for Colts to move down the field.

100% agree. I think adding the "touch pass" to his passing arsenal will make Kenny a better QB. Not everyone has that right away. Hence my agreement about franchise QBs don't miss on that pass...

Pickett has missed like that 3 times in the last 2 games. I'd call that often

Yes he's young and can get better, but he's not immune to criticism
criticism is valid, that's why I said he has time to Become a franchise player. Yet you are scratching off that possibility already

To be fair to Pickett - Picken was pretty lazy going into his break then had to turn on the jets to try and catch up to the ball. Had he run that route crisp and came out of the break at speed, it would have been an easy catch for a TD.

Manning, Bradshaw, Hurts was bad for two years. Trevor Lawrence, many others.

I didn't say bad, I said innacurate, big difference.

I can accept and expect bad reads from a rookie, innacurate passes are in my opinion much more concerning, his hands are small, there are tighter windows to throw in than in college.

We will see how it plays out, I'd be happy to eat crow, but it's happening

The big is does Canada do his usual "it's working, so I'll stop doing it" routine in the second half?

Sorry I didn't think to mention it earlier but we saw that at the end of the last drive....

Matty Slushie is going to throw another pick here soon. Might as well be this first drive.

Then to be fair, Pickett's throw to Pickens on the deep route was awful and Pickens bailed him out with a great catch
