He still only had 5 carries. Then they pulled him ASAP. Still it's embarrassing to see the once proud defense get steamrolled by a bunch of backups and guys who will be flipping burgers in a few weeks.

There will be much better QBs than Laundry cut in the next few weeks. Nobody wants him.

they just are getting late jumps in coverage... people don't know what their coverages are yet... there are usually breakdowns replacing one guy... we basically overhauled the secondary and are asking them to play situations differently out of differing schemes while simultaneously changing how the front seven are asked to operate... it was always going to be messy early... Im less worried about that.. I just don't like the players that are getting physically outplayed

Rex was trying to play all the potential starters equally vs the different strings... I thought there was talk that the starters for them would pretty much be in most of the game

Then why aren't they playing the starters longer in pre-season. They've already pulled most of the secondary and it isn't even in the 4th qtr. yet. These guys aren't even close to ready. It's going to take many weeks of real football to get them ready... and that's IF you can get some pressure with Jones, Moats and Harrison.
 
I know it only pre season, but how can anyone be optimistic about this team right now?
 
if I were Tomlin I'd drag the whole team out of the field, forfait the ******* game. This is embarassing

never judge a season by preseason
 
Way too much is made out of preseason games.. way too much. The main concern is no injuries. Second is work in specific things each week. Third no injuries..4 look at your younger guys. Put things on film to work on. Last no injuries and maybe win the game

I think they are ready. This is what we are going to see all season. Unless Dupree has a Kendrell Bell like impact, what you see is what you are going to see.

I'd rather get a hand job from an angry roofer than believe in this team to go the distance. D is the worst it's been in years. Hopefully these young guys can get it together before the season starts.
