I also vote for Rowe
Thats the thing though- Maxx isnt the the type of the NFL TE.
He is no where near the physical specimen of a Gronk/Graham. He is not that big and certainly not that fast.
I don't know how serious we are about really trading up that far but if they somehow manage to move up to me the guy I think they have their sights on is Landon Collins. We need a replacement for Troy and this guy would be a great addition. Reminds me of Cam Chancellor who is a an extremely physical player. I have a feeling this is their guy but he won't be their if they stand pat.
The drama builds!
Report: Steelers interested in trading up to No. 33 in 2015 NFL Draft
Some possible choices include Utah's Eric Rowe or LSU's Jalen Collins, two big, physical corners that were mentioned as possible first-round talents in the weeks leading up to Thursday's draft. The bigger question: Is moving up worth it?
The Steelers traded up in the fourth round of the 2013 draft to take safety Shamarko Thomas, and it cost them a 2014 third-round pick. Thomas has battled injuries but he'll get a chance to start this season. Still, questions remain, so much so that there was plenty of pre-draft speculation that the Steelers might take Alabama safety Landon Collins at No. 22.
In addition to picks, Pittsburgh could also ship linebackers Vince Williams or Sean Spenceto Tennessee in order to move to the front of the line on Friday night. Details via Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter:

I'd rather put Timmons on it. Would get more trade appeal, get his salary off the books too.

I'm sure a lot would say that, but I never been a fan of Timmons. He gets soo much hype because he makes a ton of tackles, we had close to the worst defense last year so how many of those tackles really mattered? He doesn't get sacks, he doesn't get interceptions, he does block or break up passes.. All he does is tackle. He's paid way too much for what he does.. But just my opinion.
For a pick that high it would likely have to be a first rd pick next year.

I would take a Jarvis for Odighizuwa trade. Slide Diggy over to his natural spot at LOLB and move Dupree to ROLB. We would have the best linebacker core in the league, locked and loaded.Fatten up the deal with trade bait and see. we got too many LB's that can't play..sell Jarvis.
When did we have a great defense with Timmons? We usually always had "the best run defense" with Lebeau because his defense was soo easy to throw on, even then Timmons was never great.

I wouldn't fault them if they missed on the pick
2008 we had quite possibly the best defense since the 70's.
Touche. But I still don't like him lol, I know this could go 20 pages so I don't want to sidetrack this thread. But he has his strengths and weaknesses. In 2008 I don't think they let up over 300 yards total offense until late in the season. That's unheard of in this day and age.
imo, mistake to get rid of Vince Williams
