Steelers select Dri Archer in Round 3

I think what happened here over the past few weeks - the phenomena of the Dri Archer pick - was that a few people panicked when Archer - and not some other player of their choice - was picked. This spurned an immediate outcry from a few fans, in which they boldly rushed headfirst into an anti-Archer sentiment, and tried to pound the table as hard as they could to make sure the whole world understood their disdain for the pick. Much of this thread is the empirical evidence of this phenomena. In the meantime, as Archer hit the practice field, and the team gradually gets into its off-season program, these individuals have had to face the cold, hard fact that Archer will be indeed a part of this team, and possibly a big part of the offense moving forward. During this time, the initial anger begins to subside, and it becomes more and more difficult to maintain the level of outrage and dissatisfaction with the pick and the player himself. This causes various emotional and psychological issues, which are currently being ironed out.

Are we at 50 pages yet?

Once again, have you considered a career in the media? Where's the first part of that post, or the one that was replied to, you know the one where I talked about how last years big thread was Jarvis Jones, but since everyone liked the first two picks this year, it's the Archer pick everyone is up in arms about. Are they wasting bandwidth arguing with themselves? Sure are, is that a complaint? No, it's a statement. FOURTY SIX pages of the SAME arguments over and over is what the problem is. See the difference there? It's not different arguments, it's not new stories about Archer... it's the same "he's too small" "no he'll show everyone up" arguments back and fourth.

And once again, this was brought up because your boyfriend, Idioteque took offense to something not directed at him personally.

But since you'd rather discuss the merits of players, when are you going to start? I posted my opinion of Archer, but you don't give two ***** about that, you'd rather get on my case about a comment that you are taking out of context over and over again. See a trend starting to develop?
 
So how much can i go out on a limb by saying that he displayed some type of aptitude for the WR position at rookie camp which prompted his number and position change. 50 pages

I just dont like when people say **** from behind a computer screen that they would no way shape or fashion say if we were face to face. See, that's the rub. You take all of this so seriously. That's what I tried to get across with that PM: that even when we're going back and forth with this smartassed arguing, it's a game. A Steeler ******* message board. Take TMC, for instance. He can come off among the smarmiest, most douchey-sounding posters on here. He'll ridicule your points and pound home how right he truly is. But it's for ***** and giggles. Dude is actually among the nicest, most genuine posters you'll find on here. Even Par gets it.
