The ****? Exactly how much bolder should I be? I've actually been pretty specific in fact. When did I waver? When have I predicted success? I'm sorry you can't grasp the difference between a prediction and a guarantee.
You have spent entirely too much time (and created too many Google docs, LOL) on me.
Yip yip yip
Changing the point I see. The fact is that you were complaining about it. I don't care about the circumstances, it doesn't take away the fact that you willing came into a thread and started bitching about it.
There is a reason this is no longer a discussion about Archer... some of your "buddies" turned it into a ***** fest about the word "guarantee". Which is ridiculous on a message board.
It's not on you, it's on your 'prediction' which you seem to say you believe in, yet not enough to say you're certain it will be correct, which to me says you don't believe ****.

the funny thing is that most everyone would have rather had a different guy than Archer. But since we have him, he's ours and some of us *idiot not included* are attempting to give him a bit of slack before declaring him to be a complete and total washout.
I'm not changing the point at all, you jumped into a part of the conversation that you didn't catch the beginning of. My "buddies"? How are they my "buddies"? I haven't actually posted in this thread about my opinion of Archer, I made a comment about Bryant after Wingman made one (basically two different writers views of the rookie camp, never know who's is the truth), then about the number 11 being taken already by Wheaton, and then about Spikes comment of this being a nearly 50 page thread on a third round pick (followed by a bunch of laughter).
Idioteque took offense, I don't know why... but whatever, he replied to me, I replied to HIM! The funny part, I agree with TMC and Idioteque about Archer. He's small, he might be fast but he's small. His chances of success are not great, but it doesn't change the fact that I will cheer for him and HOPE he proves everyone wrong.
But continue to get on my ONE comment that you took out of context... have you considered a career in the media?
This year everyone is wasting bandwidth on a third round pick. No one is giving up, when both sides should. 46 pages of the same **** over and over again... FOURTY SIX PAGES!!!! Let that sink in, then you climb off of that high horse your so proud to sit on and give it a rest.
so which is worse? someone complaining about people complaining about a thread or someone complaining about people complaining about people complaining about a thread?
so nice to see chivalry is alive with Vader rushing to the side of his fallen princess.
What's worse is someone that doesn't have enough sense to talk about the merits of a player without getting personal. Sad really that you can't discuss players or anything intelligently. More of the same name calling and ignorant 3rd grade clamor.
that's why you quit posting in this thread, right?

That's a no brainer, by far the worst is someone complaining about people complaining about someone complaining about some dude complaining about people complaining about a thread.so which is worse? someone complaining about people complaining about a thread or someone complaining about people complaining about people complaining about a thread?
ah ha.That's a no brainer, by far the worst is someone complaining about people complaining about someone complaining about some dude complaining about people complaining about a thread.

"We will wish we had taken 10 other guys who were available ahead of archer"
The following statement is either true or false-
"Archer will NEVER live up to player (x)" Insert whomever player is x, (Of course you would need a set of measurables).
YPC, Attempts, total yards, Yards from scrimmage, touchdows, games played, average yards per play, etc.
You can tailor the discussion any way you like, bottom line is, this dude hasn't taken an NFL snap yet, and you've spent this entire thread saying he's going to suck.
Then you play the "So, have you stopped beating your wife yet" card, saying well show me where I guaranteed anything! No, you actually didn't but generally when you're saying "He's going to wash out" and since we don't have a time machine, and I was fairly certain you didn't mean his laundry, you were saying that this was going to happen in the future.
He might indeed suck, I don't know, however that's been my position this entire thread, there are very good reasons to think he might do quite well, there are also red flags (size, injury possibilities, fumbling issues) that's why he went in ROUND 3. Not a lot of guys with his speed and highlight reel are hanging out till round 3 if there aren't at least some concerns. I'll wait and see if Haley can make something happen with his new toy.
Joe
Absolutely. If that happened by some remote chance, first order of business would be to report that individual to the mods in hopes of a quick resolution to the issue. If left unchecked, that ********** doing all the complaining would create quite a bottleneck in the thread, which would unfortunately keep people from bitching about other people bitching about potentially the greatest Steeler draft pick of all time, the one and only Golden Flash, Sir Dri Archer. And that would be quite sad and consequently a lot of puppies would die in the process.ah ha.
but if some dude is complaining about the thread where people are complaining about some dude complaining about the thread where people are complaining about a dude on a message board filled with people complaining about people complaining about threads created for the sole intent and purpose to once again complain about people complaining about the dude who complained, then we may have an issue. or two.
t-man,
So in other words, you're too much of a ***** to make an ironclad guarantee?
Do you grasp how stupid that sounds?
I didn't realize I was required by Google Doc himself to wager my life on Archer's success. (I'd lose anyway, since we know that Colclough is the cutoff for "solid pick.") I've said all thread that I consider Archer a poor pick who projects poorly in the NFL. I'm not interested in redefining the term "guarantee" to suit your needs now that you've spent several days searching this thread and memorizing my posts and have come up empty handed.
My statement on Archer is absolutely no different than predicting the Steelers to beat the Browns in Week One. You know this; you're just piggybacking Tibs and trying desperately to turn it into some fortune-telling statement. Furthermore, you're pissed that I don't care about whether SteelerNation.com considers me a good draft watcher. Because as lame as you think it is to discuss football in critical terms, that's how lame I think it is to troll and backpedal endlessly about Steelers Nation Prediction Statistics.
A Google ******* document. To track my draft "reputation." LOL.
So, why list the people for the doc then? Since it's obvious you have zero confidence in ANY of them being better than Archer?
See, when you make a statement, and then people say "why do you think that" and then you give reasons, it's called making an argument. If you're truly convinced your reasons are all sound, and your research valid, you have no reason to think you're argument is incorrect.
I am, however, confused as to why you would list 10 people that you simply "don't care" how it turns out?
That's odd, wouldn't you think?
My reasoning is solid, considering Archer's success would be unprecedented and fly in the face of all common sense. Not having a crystal ball, I feel unqualified to make the guarantee you suddenly asked me to make. But I've stated with confidence my opinion and haven't wavered on it. You, not I, chose to ask for some guarantee when you realized how little sense you made.
At the time, I thought we were having a football discussion. I had no idea what was to come, nor that I would be your latest hardon, nor the extent of your obsession with Steeler Nation Statistics.
I wonder if Dicknocchio can play CB because he backpedals better then any CB we could of drafted.
So, you'd like to have a football discussion about who you think is going to be successful in the future, without saying who is ACTUALLY going to be successful in the future.
Got it.
