the last time Coach **** himself over us taking a safety in the 1st, we turned out pretty good.
Glad that didnt happen...
BTW...really dig that hat Edmunds was sporting last night. Got to get me one..
I was cheering when Evans came off the board lol
I'd say its a F'n MAJOR reach. This guys was viewed as a rounds 2-3 type of player. I had him mocked in round three for us.
Are the Steelers paying you for your analysis???
Are the Steelers paying you to read and respond to his posts on this site?
Round 1-3? Wow Walter went out on a limb there. No one here had Edmunds rated over top safeties disused. Which web site had him in round one without a range to round three?
Was Terrell Edmonds even in Mayock’s top 100?
I did say I liked him for round 3.

According to Wexell the steelers thought they had a deal in place to trade up and take Evans
Baltimore backed out during discussions. Wanted more apparently than what was offered.

The Steelers love strong charactered individuals and Terrell has tremendous football character. Justin Fuente could not stop talking about him:
“I think athletically he’s just different. He’s an incredibly hard worker but I’ve never seen a guy that can’t get tired. He doesn’t. We know about the family, just great people in general but there’s just something different about him,” Fuente added about the middle Edmunds brother, “his stamina, his strength, his work ethic, his intelligence. He’s pretty special. When they go run in the summertime and we go do things and you’re playing games and he’s covering punts and playing safety and covering kickoffs, he’s the fastest guy out there every single time, every single rep, it’s pretty fun to watch. He can do about whatever he wants really. He’s pretty talented.”
I think Edmunds strong character & work ethic pushed him up their board.
This makes me wonder if they'll also be targeting Shaquem Griffin in later rounds
Will be interesting to see if he can make the transition and be a difference maker for the Steelers. Being from Virginia and an ACC fan I am excited to he's a Steeler.......but using their 1st Round pick on him...not that excited.
Strengths
One of the team leaders on defense
Impressive combination of NFL size and quick-twitch movement
Quick change of direction
Former cornerback with sudden burst from lateral transitions
Has size and cover talent to carry pass-catching tight ends around the field
Reliable hands to take it away when in position
Desired pursuit speed as chase defender near the line
Looks for work as tackler
Plays with energy and smarts
Handles contain when called upon and lets teammates flow to the ball
Has size and speed to offer immediate help on kick coverages
Athletic bloodlines from father to mother to siblings
Weaknesses
Will do the work as tackler but can take the worst of the collision
Missed open field tackles have dogged him
Takes inconsistent angles to the ball
Lunges rather than sliding his feet to close distance on cutting runners
Too aggressive in response to route fakes
Bites and gets forced into recovery mode
Lacks desired instincts and feel for deep coverage
Doesn’t get enough depth to help on deep throws
Slow to read quarterback and get the jump to range over top
Fails to find football when his back is to the ball
Missed the end of the season with a shoulder injury that will have to clear medicals
That is NFL.com's eval. I am so sure everything they wrote is spot on.
Some of yinz go on my ******* nerves....
