Steelers Panthers preseason game thread

Mason Rudolph takes over from Dobbs. Let's see what the rook can do.

If not making the 53, trying for the practice squad. Or someone else's 53/practice squad.
 
Nice pass by Rudolph, Patterson with another circus catch in endzone. TD? No TD?

Nice back to back plays by Brian Allen. Good to see him getting some confidence.

That was the pocket awareness Rudolph gives you, right there I saw impressive potential.
 
Before we get too carried away re Dobbs...

Brock Osweiler has played a nice first half for the Dolphins.

I mean, they call it preseason for a reason.
 
All things considered, that was one of the better 1st halves of a fourth pre-season game (mostly scrubs) I can remember. Can't deny both Dobbs & Rudolph are showing some fire in their bellies, good to see.

Really hoping some of these young guys on D show enough to force Tomlin/Butler to make some tough choices. Amazing to think we'll be down to 53 by Saturday.
 
Usually the 4th preseason game is a yawner, but this is enjoyable.

Lots of tough decisions, mostly on the offensive side, but a few on D are making a case for themselves.

Obviously they eval the whole off season.

But regardless if he gets to stick or gets traded, Dobbs still had a nice showing tonight.
