He can't control who he is playing against, but I get your point.

What he is showing is pocket presence, mobility, and throwing a nice and pretty accurate ball.

I think Dobbs is comparable in terms of athleticism to Jones however Dobbs is a smarter QB and he is showing that tonight. I hope the Steelers keep him over Jones but I doubt it.
 
Don’t get me wrong. It’s time to move on with LJ. We have seen what he can do when B.B. isn’t there. I’ll take the upside of the youth.
 
The Steelers need to roll the dice a little and keep Dobbs.

They missed the boat by holding onto Jones while the Saints and Seahawks traded for backup QBs the past couple of days.

Call the Broncos, even the Texans. Weeden makes Jones look like an All-Pro.

I agree... I'd keep Dobbs over Landry Jones. Just gotta bite the bullet and keep the (much) more talented player with upside. I like the idea of Dobbs and Rudolph fighting it out to suceed Ben down the road.
 
I know it's a small sample at this point, but how does Switzer look on returns?

Wouldn't feel too bad, the odds of making an NFL roster are infinitesimal.

Time to use that college degree, and have a story to tell his grand kids that none of us will.

Switzer's looked ok so far, seems to know what he's doing back there. His quick twitch, short area quickness could be a real asset. To imagine we'd have a PR/KR with even a shot at making a dent is good enough for me right now. Let's see if he can make anything happen.

Huh? I’ve never seen Jones evade a sack and run 12 yards for a 1st down or leap 3 yards into the end zone.
 
Dobbs made some nice throws, good pocket awareness, is having his best game. Playing for his life, that seems evident. He does have a skillset neither Landry nor Rudolph (nor Ben) has, he's a light-footed, speedy guy than can move around. And he actually has a nice arm to boot. If he keeps playing like this, gonna be hard to cut him.
 
Do we still have that giant rugby player? He seen any playing time in the preseason.
 
TE Buckey Hodges is looking pretty good, he may have a shot with Grimble/McDonald injuries. Looks pretty adept out there in the passing game, can he block?
