Steelers in round two pick WR JuJu Smith-Schuster

I'm sure Coates cares. Tomlinson cared enough to respond. Dupree had thisto say:

Teammates taking shots at another one that ain't G!

He's a nice possession receiver. Loves to play, good hands, and a willing blocker, BUT we lose in the playoffs because of DEFENSE, not our #2 or #3WR.

Not a bad player, but we should have sent cornerback!

You don't seem to recall the victory over Kansas City, do you? We won because of the defense. It wasn't our offense putting up ******* field goals all god damn game long.

I hate to break this to you skippy, but the score was 17-9 at the half. The first series in the 2nd was a 3 and out. New England kicks a FG, still only 20-9. Steelers drive to the NE 39 and stall. They punt, NE drives for a TD. Rogers fumbles. NE scores again. Turnover on downs at the NE 2. Defense holds, punt. Ben throws a pick. The INT came in the 4th, not the 1st/2nd/3rd.

They had PLENTY of opportunities to score and failed. To not acknowledge that part of the game is idiotic at best. If they can convert a couple more 3rd downs, maybe get another FD at the NE 39 and get a FG, score from the 2, that is 10 points in the Steelers favor, maybe the defense has rested more, maybe play with better intensity/motivation and limit a NE score. So, instead of 27-9, maybe it is 20-19 heading into the 4th quarter.

Again, you fail to recognize how games can change on specific plays. It makes me wonder if you ever played a sport.

Yeah I played and coached what did you do?

Left or right bench, in the stands?

The D was ripped. The better QB's tend to rip us. But I bet your happy with the limited corners picked in the 2017 draft.

The Offense had a bad break when Bell went down, and like I told you TMC New England ran out the clock late and could have put 40+ on us if they wanted to.

Once again, D gave up 36 points, 431 yards, and collected ZERO turnovers. How many of those game have we won in Tomlin's history. Duck, duck, duck....

You have some of the wackiest opinions and you want to brag that you were a coach? That little league team must have been really successful with your keen eye for seeing things.

Truth is both sides of the ball lost that game. As how bad the secondary played the O **** the bed as well. Receivers dropping balls, the score board reflected a ****** offensive performance.

You would think a coach would be able to see that loss was two sided.

Ben's a free wheeler the more broken the play the better he plays it... juju is the same way he really wants the ball he finds away to get open and then hes damn go at catching it... he's going to see a lot of single coverage and ben will find him... he will be critical on third downs and red zone short passes. He's going to have the most impact of all the draft picks offense or defense.

I love the kid's make up. He's tough and loves to battle. Saw a couple earthshaking blocks too....welcome JuJu

.

Did you coach John Ross in peewee league? Is Coach really Snoop dog?

Even if not I'm pretty sure Coach is smoking some good ****.

Though I kept watching, I knew that game was over when the Steelers failed to score a TD with 1st and goal inside the Patriots one yard line in a 17-6 game before halftime.

It's like both Tomlin and Haley suddenly forgot what a fullback was.

It was total bullshit,

There is no corner they could have drafted that was going to come in here, and turn the secondary around in 2017. Corner is probably the most difficult position on a defense to master. Any corner they picked was going to be a case of long term improvement. They need for Burns to keep improving, Golson to be healthy, and maybe sign a vet like Lewis. Those three things will impact 2017. Unless your rookie is named Deon Sanders, Rod Woodson, Champ Bailey, or Darelle Revis, he's going to get burnt to a crisp by Brady as a rookie.

I started a thread to pick a WR in 2 and guess what, we did....Why? Because we sputtered too often, with too few options....That is history....We are simply going to outscore people

At USC, JUJU just dominated and was in sync with their QB who somehow got all the credit & glory. But JUJU was the main receiver....JUJU is a fighter, scrapper and is going to be a fan-favorite and open up the offense even more. We will have 3 WR's on the field at all times who are studs, plus Bell.....

You all are gonna love this dude....

I think we GAVE UP too many points ( 36 ), and played a soft zone defense that Brady always destroys.

You can not expect to give up 36 and win, and make no mistake if needed New England could have scored more.

# our coaches have s&^tforbrians

Pass rushers and DB's need to be upgraded to beat Brady.

We did not score enough points. Hell we were lucky in KC to win by only scoring 9 points.

The pick of JJSS as TMC stated makes a lot of sense. What if Bryant screws up again? We can't be in the same position as last year.

He is also a violent blocker very much like Ward was. The kid is tough

Also what if Bell gets hurt again, or he screws up again? We needed another option

Again, I ask, what was your take on the KC game in the playoffs? The one where our defense held a relative explosive offense in check, while our offense managed field goals all damn game. If our offense, specifically our receivers, did anything against the cheaters, that game has a completely different dynamic. You were a coach. You should know that going into the damn conference championship game with a few practice squad players playing a great deal isn't going to ******* cut it. Regardless of what your defense does. Remember, you need atleast one more point than the other team.

Just so there is something to provide measurement to this comment. What was the level of competition when you played and coached? Are we talking Div III, Junior college, high school, lower?

Can't say it enough. If the D plays lights out, the *'s still score, at least 28. Unless, you can't look and understand at what they did in the regular season and to the other teams in the playoffs, you can't dispute that.

Against the other teams in the playoffs who don't have the shittiest coach, who drafts the shittiest game plans nd shittiest players, the *' scored 2 less points.

If the offense only scores 17, that game is a loss, no matter what the d does or doesn't do.

Oh and, the *'s cheat.

Too many opportunities for the cheats O to score.

Longer drives would have helped besides a better pass rush and coverage.

So what do the Steelers do? Attempt to ugrade the pass rush and coverage, and bring in a RB and a WR to help make those drives longer.

I know the Steelers said they won't focus in on one team as likely that team will likely be different the following year.

But they kind of did focus in on the weaknesses exposed in that game.............

Exactly because saying you are concentrating on one team is stupid. There are 30 other teams who would want to kick our *** for slighting them. Teams use everything for motivation.

The soft zone we play allows team (all teams good and bad)to sustain long drives. It keeps them in the game and also keeps our offense off the field.

We beat the majority of the other teams we played with the people we already had. Seemingly, we got better at the ROLB position (unless you think Watt = JJ) and, probably, at least as good at slot (Sutton, maybe Golson shows something). Presumably, Davis/Burns/Dupree are more better. Those who had to play with Heyward out are better backups, hopefully, with the experience they got last year.

Trading up a few spots in round 2 to get Josh Jones or the CB from Colorado would have made a lot of sense. Taking a DB at #62 (as Coach is advocating) made much less sense because the value just wasn't there given the run that took place in front of our pick.
