Sources – Brown Requests Trade

Head coach/QB...... there is the root if you want to see it. Not saying AB and some others don't get their share of the blame as well.

From you tube comments on this video pay particular attention to the second post, this guy/gal GETS IT. Not saying I agree with the racial angle although the logic behind the excuse for Ben getting a pass is productivity it is hard to dispute. I think that is up for every individual to determine as to what their motivation is to defend all things Ben and not be honest about this team.

Tyler G lol doesn’t matter how productive you are, if you’re a cancer then you’re hurting the team more than helping

@ nuetral nick How do you feel about getting rid of Ben then? You see that's the problem with us Steeler fans: we talk about how everyone is a problem Bell, Tomlin, AB no matter how productive they are. Yet Ben is untouchable, why?.......because he's so productive.....WHAT? Yet he has been a BIG part of the culture problem on this team since 2004. I often think because I can see no other answer that this is a racial thing. I mean it has to be, not saying it's you nuetral Nick I just see it EVERYWHERE. Steeler fans can NOT be honest about the team INCLUDING BEN. Ben has been causing problems since his first year and was still causing discord up until the very start of this season. It's easy to see why the players don't respect him and feel they can behave the same way. You would think the guy would have grown up after getting married, but apparently not.

You guys can go ahead and hit me with more negative rep. now......kill the messenger, I get it.

Schlereth really hits the nail on the head here.

That video, and Mark Schlareth's comments, hit the nail on the head. AB is a problem. The team leadership from the players is a problem. The head coach is a problem. The front office tolerating all this crap is a problem.

The Steelers of the Glory Days are no more. Just change up the name next year: the Pittsburgh Kardashians.

If mediocrity is "fine" then yeah I guess we will be. Ben will throw for a jillion yards, AB will dance, and we will win nothing.

But yeah...**** Lev Bell...........

Why are you still on Bell? He made his decision, the team was forced to move on.

Ben a leader...lol...

There's a reason he got that football thrown at him.

You have the best WR in football and you say something like " Yeah I wish we had thrown it to ju ju all 4 times." in a childish attack on him.

Some of you will wake up one day.

You are reaching hard. Ask the O-line what they think about Ben.

Ben leads by performance. He produces and wants to win.

Makes players around him better, that is a pretty good leader.

The best wr in football doesn't understand how to run routes in the endzone.

Yeah that's why they keep voting Ben TEAM mvp.......

I don't know if this has been posted yet. But *** clown #2 is already backing off of *** clown #1's original report. The NFL network reporters are absolutely terrible, they should both be fired.

My understanding of the situation surrounding #Steelers WR Antonio Brown: As he exited the field in frustration on Wednesday, he yelled, "I’m done!" Then wondered why they don’t trade him. More venting in anger than anything. He has not made any actual trade request, officially.

There are no leaders on this team. If Ben is one of your leaders that’s part of the problem and why this team has sucked since the real leaders retired. Ben might be a good qb but he is not a leader. Hence their last 8 yrs since he’s been a leader

I really can't take anyone serious who bashes Ben.

It just takes away any credibility. 3 SBs two victories, he has been there done that.

He is the only QB who could lead the league in passing and not get MVP consideration.

As in no votes. Winning is one thing but no votes?

Just beyond ridiculous.

The FO made that decision FOR THE LEAGUE. Not for the Steelers.

No they made it for the Steelers offering him the richest RB contract in the NFL.

Your right he is the only qb to do that ever wonder why. How many of them weren’t in the playoff. Like keebs said he was only voted team mvp once. That speaks
Volumes but you guys are not listening. It’s tomlin fault he let these guys turn into morons they can’t be saved now they’re old dogs. Don’t change course don’t expect different outcomes. And sit here next yr saying the same
****

The Salary Cap makes trading him almost impossible.

Reports are the owner called him and AB didn't answer and didn't return the call. This CANNOT STAND.

The team must put AB in his place and there must be punishment. If they can't trade him due to the dead money on the cap then I pray to God there is a conduct clause in that contract because he certainly had prior behavioral issues. If they have a conduct clause then walking out of practice the week of a playoff play-in game, then ownership NEEDS to suspend him without pay for at least a few games next season and then sit him down and ask him to decide if he wants to be an adult. Otherwise, he can stay suspended and not be paid.

AB is a great football player and a terrible person.

They're likely stuck with him but if Ben retires after next season, along with Pouncey, then I look for Pittsburgh to trade AB and take the cap hit. He is a cancer. Always has been.

yes, because someone is an entitled narcissistic head case **** of a little boy in a grown man's body.

So if you aren't voted MVP you aren't a leader?

Not getting the logic there.

wrong. Bell chose to not sign the contract as offered, then enter next (this coming) offseason as a FA.

Exactly.

Some people just need Ben as their hero for some reason and can't be objective about him and the team situation. Like I've said I love the dude he's been a warrior since day one, but dude is deeply flawed as a human being and as a QB. The QB flawed part is not his fault as Arians coddled him to keep his job, and when Haley was brought in to save his career Ben behaved like AB is behaving now and battled him till he got rid of him and we got Arians Offense 2.0

If you're going to rid of Tomlin then bring in a Tom Coughlin type and straighten this **** out from the QB position down, or blow it up if your going to have resistance.

The fantasy that you are going to bring in an Ed Reed from somewhere and we will be golden is just that...fantasy. Some people will just never get it.

He would be here if they had budged on the tag request. The Steelers so as not to set a league wide precedent refused to budge. This is a business that involves ALL teams and owners, that comes before even the Steelers and their fans themselves.

Bell saw the writing on the wall and refused to have the Steelers use him up and toss him. Dude gets it.

In other words the Steelers ownership will act in the interests of the NFL before they will the Steelers, that's the way it works.

The only people I can think that bucked the system are Al Davis and Jerry Jones, other than that the cartel comes first.

So a 5 year 70M dollar offer to a guy one failed drug test away from a 1 year suspension wasn't enough in your opinion? The marginal difference between Bell and Conner/ Samuels wasn't even close to worth that kind of money. One would have to be a complete idiot to want to spend that money on a RB when the team is desperate for help on defense.

yeah, because the FO was only offering a one-year deal?

the tag was placed so the Steelers could protect their investment, like it or not. Had Bell signed his contract that the Steelers were 100% going to be over-paying, it would't matter if Bell was tagged with the Franchise or Transition designation. Bell wanted only to be paid. Period. He was going to "reset the RB market" with that contract, until he chose not to. Two years in a row.

So, no, dude didn't "get it". He never has and never will.

Bell sure got it, he just lost 14M this year. He definitely ended up winning ...

Try to be serious before you try to take anyone seriously.

I mean seriously...name the big time players on offense or defense that Brady has had on his way to all those rings? Randy Moss....Teddy Bruschi...? Ty Law..? In ALL those years.

Meanwhile you give Ben credit for 2 SB's in which the run game propped him up not to mention # 1 defenses provided by Dick LeBeau........you want to talk about credibility?

How many big names has Ben had? From Bettis on down...lol.

Try to be objective, it's really not that hard.
