Sources – Brown Requests Trade

He would be here if they had budged on the tag request. The Steelers so as not to set a league wide precedent refused to budge. This is a business that involves ALL teams and owners, that comes before even the Steelers and their fans themselves.

Bell saw the writing on the wall and refused to have the Steelers use him up and toss him. Dude gets it.

"Dude gets it." Dude stop talking.. you sound foolish. Go watch your "sports talk" shows like undisputed and all those other clowns who are giving their opinion and know nothing more than the common fan.. actually probably less cause they say things for ratings, not cause it's right.

Try to be serious before you try to take anyone seriously.

I mean seriously...name the big time players on offense or defense that Brady has had on his way to all those rings? Randy Moss....Teddy Bruschi...? Ty Law..? In ALL those years.

Meanwhile you give Ben credit for 2 SB's in which the run game propped him up not to mention # 1 defenses provided by Dick LeBeau........you want to talk about credibility?

How many big names has Ben had? From Bettis on down...lol.

Try to be objective, it's really not that hard.
I am plenty objective. Look at the plethora of WRs who left and fizzled out quickly away from Big Ben.

You want to use the cheats as a measuring stick?

When Bradshaw left until Big Ben how many SBs was won?

You damn right I give Big Ben credit for two SBs. He was marvelous in one and leading up to the other..

Again with a team with a shitload of more serious issues it is laughable seeing the Ben bashers, with their tunnel vision.

Head coach/QB...... there is the root if you want to see it. Not saying AB and some others don't get their share of the blame as well.

From you tube comments on this video pay particular attention to the second post, this guy/gal GETS IT. Not saying I agree with the racial angle although the logic behind the excuse for Ben getting a pass is productivity it is hard to dispute. I think that is up for every individual to determine as to what their motivation is to defend all things Ben and not be honest about this team.

Tyler G lol doesn’t matter how productive you are, if you’re a cancer then you’re hurting the team more than helping

@ nuetral nick How do you feel about getting rid of Ben then? You see that's the problem with us Steeler fans: we talk about how everyone is a problem Bell, Tomlin, AB no matter how productive they are. Yet Ben is untouchable, why?.......because he's so productive.....WHAT? Yet he has been a BIG part of the culture problem on this team since 2004. I often think because I can see no other answer that this is a racial thing. I mean it has to be, not saying it's you nuetral Nick I just see it EVERYWHERE. Steeler fans can NOT be honest about the team INCLUDING BEN. Ben has been causing problems since his first year and was still causing discord up until the very start of this season. It's easy to see why the players don't respect him and feel they can behave the same way. You would think the guy would have grown up after getting married, but apparently not.

You guys can go ahead and hit me with more negative rep. now......kill the messenger, I get it.

Schlereth really hits the nail on the head here.

Yes, let’s listen to some guy who once said that RGIII didn’t have enough “blackness” in him to succeed. Rob Parker is a Grade A jackass. I don’t care what content he’s covering, his opinion should mean zilch. Total moron that even the people here in Detroit couldn’t stand him.

More than anything, I'm just sad. Very sad.

We had such a promising core of Bell, Bryant, Brown and Big Ben and they pissed it all away.

One thing I refuse to do is blame Tomlin, or the organization, for the selfish, petty behaviour of superstar, multi-millonaire millenials.

**** these guys. **** Martavis for throwing away a promising career cause he couldn't not smoke weed for a few months a year. **** Bell for being such prima donna, me-first *******. And **** AB for following in the footsteps of the drama queen, selfish, navel-gazing Steelers WR's that came before him. Nobody cares about your helicopter rides, your gold chains, your fur coats or your ******* Madden covers.

They can all go to hell. This group - with so much promise - let fame and fortune go to their heads before they accomplished much of anything.

Trade AB for players & picks and be done with it. Let's hit the re-set button and get back to Steelers football, where the team - and winning - come before all else.

Exactly.

Some people just need Ben as their hero for some reason and can't be objective about him and the team situation. Like I've said I love the dude he's been a warrior since day one, but dude is deeply flawed as a human being and as a QB. The QB flawed part is not his fault as Arians coddled him to keep his job, and when Haley was brought in to save his career Ben behaved like AB is behaving now and battled him till he got rid of him and we got Arians Offense 2.0

If you're going to rid of Tomlin then bring in a Tom Coughlin type and straighten this **** out from the QB position down, or blow it up if your going to have resistance.

The fantasy that you are going to bring in an Ed Reed from somewhere and we will be golden is just that...fantasy. Some people will just never get it.

The offense was Arians 2.0??? When did Arians offenses put up numbers like these? If I’m not mistaken, the Arians offenses did what they could to get Ben killed, and were really only good between the 20’s, and no good in the red zone. This years offense, even without that punk Bell, we had a top 3 red zone scoring offense, had the league leading passer, two 1,200+ yard receivers, as well as a running back who would’ve easily eclipsed 1,200 yards and damn near 15 touchdowns if not for missing 3 weeks. Oh, and Ben was only sacked 19 times, I believe? It may sound good to you to call it the Arians offense because Ben and Fitchner have a good, friendly relationship, but it’s not true.

From what I've read he had a hissy fit at practice and said I'm done why don't you just trade me. That is not exactly requesting a trade lol That's just a frustrated guy at training

@AB84 has more yards (9,154) & catches (686) over a 6 year period than any WR in #NFL history.

2018: 104 rec 1,298 yds 15 TD
2017: 101 rec 1,533 yds 9 TD
2016: 106 rec 1,284 yds 12 TD
2015: 136 rec 1,834 yds 10 TD
2014: 129 rec 1,698 yds 13 TD
2013: 110 rec 1,499 yds 8 TD

Yeah that AB just awful!

Careful a few of you what you wish for, you just might get it.

Ben played solid in the 2008-2009 super bowl.
The 2005-2006 playoff drive was all Ben. He was chucking it all over vs the Bengals and Broncos. I think they erred a bit cautious with the colts, cause going back, I think Ben could've put up more TD's.

He was surrounded by a good system, but he is responsible for bringing super bowls to Pittsburgh.

The media likes to over dramatize ****.

The two are intertwined. The success of one is dependent upon the other. We've seen what happens when either is out of the game. That is why this is so stupid. If it was say Ben and Dupree I'd get it. This **** is unbelievable.

No Bell, no AB, no Ben....exacty the way the yinzers want their Steelers!

you want nothing but good Catholic boys who bend over when the headmaster tells you

Now just draft a couple more FBs for those FAKE PUNTS thats all the rage and u be good to go!

Isn’t there a Cheatriots board for you to be on jerking Marsha off with all the rest of the Massholes?

I agree with ya Tibsy but to absolve Tomlin may be a bit of a stretch. Admittedly there are only a few limited resources in the NFLPA environment to back up a coach in this situation but we also can't ignore the fact that Tomlin refuses to use even those few things available to him to help curb this chaos.

Starting with that embarrassing live tweet from the locker room, AB should have been fitted with a shock collar and his wallet should have been connected electronically directly to AR2's office.

Great idea though.....

Those Ben days are behind us. There is no disciplined structure like it was back then. Ben has cost us games this year. He is still our best option, but without AB, there will be a drastic drop off. That was a terrible Bengals team we played at home...

A-N-D AB was the root cause of the distraction that kept them unfocused...................................

Salute the nation

The man child throws couches off a 14th floor balcony. He may be talented, but he’s more drama then TO was.

Maybe, but it all starts with that weak coach. This **** would not have gone over well with Dan Rooney in his prime. Cowher would not have put up with it either. I remember when the Steelers quickly got rid of any player that did not want to be a Steeler. The kids are running the nursery now.

no way

TO bounced around for a reason he was a constant locker room cancer.

AB's **** is minor in comparison. Although the media does a good job of over-inflating AB's stories.

You are half right, Tomlin is at fault too. He could have made it to at least one more SB with the talent he had available

LMAO at anyone who says Ben is the problem. He is a first ballot hall of famer and just happened to lead the league in completions and passing yards at 36 years old this season. What the **** more does he have to do to prove himself to some of you idiots.

Maybe. I seem to remember a rap video done by a few of our guys during a very promising SB run . . . .
