So... you HAVE TO take a quarterback in this draft... who ya taking?

That's fine, so where do you think Simpson should get drafted?
Wasn't the point, you were clamoring on about him comparing Simpson to Mahomes and Rodgers, but it was only in height, he then went on to point out both Mahomes and Rodgers weighed more, and had elite arm talent traits that Simpson does not.

As me for me personally, don't care as long as it isn't by the steelers. Since Chambliss is off the board, there isn't much left in the cupboards. Build the trenches, find the QB later...until then give Howard a shot, what's the worst that can happen, we get the #1 pick next year? Oh no...

Would be a very desirable approach. Pick a QB in 3 or 4 and have him and Will battle it out and see what you have leading into next years draft.

Then there is the Steelers approach that will crush any wants like that. They will not 6 million dollar man rebuild him. They have the technology. They can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster.

No they will run it back with their we never want to rebuild approach we can squeeze out another winning season….weeeeeeeee.

Reality is a hard pill to swallow, we can throw out any other approach that is to our liking. Because it isn’t going to happen not now, and not in the foreseeable future.

Definitely a hard evaluation. Will be interesting how it plays out.

It's the age old dilemma, is it easier to teach a toolsy guy the above the neck stuff, accuracy, pocket presence, etc, vs. can you coach around the lack of elite tools with a brainiac?

Montana, Manning, Brady, and Brees prove the latter is possible, Bradshaw, Ben, Josh Allen, Elway the former.

Ideally you find a guy with both, like Mahomes.

The problem with taking a QB this year is the depth chart. Will the Steelers trust a QB room with, for example, Rodgers, Howard, Allar/Klubnik? Maybe if they believe Simpson is the guy, they could go Rodgers, Simpson, Howard. If they plan on keeping Rudolph, forget about even drafting one.

take a guy late like they did with howard. Bring back rodgers, Thompson and howard. Let em fight it out in camp as to who stays to be 1,2, 3. Someone gets cut.
