Robbed!!

First off, I would argue that's a **** call. But if you want to split hairs, Megatron's ball goes out of bounds and he never has an opportunity to retain possession of the ball. He also did not have his hands under the ball when he went to the ground. And finally he did not break the plane of the goal line with possession of the ball.
James did all three of those things.

And given your text descriptions from the guys desperate to cover the officiating decision makers' *****... Why was Cook's catch against the Texans ruled a TD by these same ******* guys?

(The answer is actually really ******* easy and it has to do with color).

wonder why that ref crew was picked for this game? The same crew who had that Jet call all ****** up. Somewhere someone had a agenda.

You mean the same crew who throws more flags than any other?
Only throw two against them

Something is fishy in Denmark

Like many have said, his hand was under the ball so there is no definitive proof he lost control. THe proof for me come watching it in real-time. Watch how quickly James hits the ground and bounce up to his feet. You can't get up that quickly, with ball in arms, if you don't have control of the ball.

Like wig said, if we kick a FG there is no way the refs let us win in OT either.

I'm too lazy to read the whole thread, so if this has already been mentioned, I apologize. Anyone see the "index card" incident in the Dallas game? Officiating EVERYWHERE is atrocious.

after watching all the bs on it this morning, its sucks to say , but it wasn't a catch by the rules, and the rules have gotten so f ed up , but that being said, we should have still won this game, we had time, its like they panicked, if we just spiked it we had 2 shots at the endzone, just my opinion, the last play was crap, we still had that game

I can't understand why they didn't have a play ready to go after 5 minutes of review. They looked completely confused.

i had to back up though i think they would have had one shot at the endzone but sitll

BR saying he was told to fake the spike sounds fishy.

Rogers was the only skill player who made a move toward the endzone. Bell just stood there watching the play. In other words, he didn't move, which is what you do when there's a spike.

Ben made a telling comment when he said something like he and Rogers "looked at each other" and went for it.

To me, he's saying it was his call.

And it was dumb, both the fake spike and the play run.

I wouldn't want to be the Texans next Monday.

I'd be surprised if the Steelers don't win by more than two TDs.

It'll be tough to get up for a game vs that pathetic team after just playing the Ravens and **ts.
I expect it to be close til the the 4th qtr and we win by 10 or so.

They're in a cushy environment, and there'll be a ton of Steeler fans on hand.

There were 20,000-plus for each of the Steelers' two previous games here. Likely more this time because it's on Christmas Day and Texan fans are bailing big-time.

Also, knowing they likely have to win out to be assured of at least the No. 2 seed adds to the motivation.

And they know I'll be there (!) Don't want to let me down two weeks in a row.

I'm in the minority, but I'm actually okay with the whole game yesterday.

We know we can beat them. That's the NUMBER ONE thing that came out of yesterday's game. We know we are better. Even the defense made some plays and left some potential on the field to do better.

I think we can beat them in Foxboro and bury our demons. I really do. This is all destiny. It can't be easy. It can't be with home field advantage. We have to do it in their house to prove once and for all we CAN beat them (at least once). This is the year we can do it.

The Shazier thing. This team is as unified as I've seen under Tomlin. He's holding it together. They believe in each other. All the close games make a difference.

In a season where everyone is "good, not great" around the entire league, this is how the Steelers end up winning championships in the Roethlisberger era. No one is going to call this Steelers team one of the best ever. But it can be the best in 2017-2018. It can be the best in the playoffs.

Just watch and enjoy the roller coaster ride.

By rule it wasn't a catch. The rules on a catch conflict with the rules on breaking the plane of the endzone and the ground causing a fumble but there it is. The rule needs to be fixed.

Look, the initial rule was meant to fix the issue of a player leaping in the air, securing the ball mid air, and landing with the ground breaking up the pass. Theoretically the play could be ruled a catch and fumble because he had the ball then was down when he landed... the initial clarifications made it clear that a football move was needed to complete the catch, this final version attempted to clarifty that by saying that going to the ground with posession and retaining it was a football move, but the football move should complete the catch no matter what. catching a ball and immeadiately diving for the end zone is a football move... that should be a catch, but the league trying to save face changed this interpretation a few years back, though this year we have seen this called both ways for the same reason.... we have seen plays that should have been catches and down by contact ruled invcomplete and even interceptions. we have seen the same play have dual interpretations .... its just a bad rule and a bad situation.... The least the refs should have done was call the PI in the end zone to make up for that abborhation of a ruling....
