Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

A cognizant, logical post made by a man who can actually think. Clown-lin isn't capable of actual thought, a man who thinks p-ssing his pants is a clever way to thought that can trap us in outdated thinking patterns and generate fear and division through unconscious reactions based on past experiences. Only a dolt would think he's being witty. Run, run, short pass behind the line of scrimmage, punt...endlessly for 90% of the game. Yea, Clown-lin, you sure are smart. Why don't you yell "I'm working here" at a fan at halftime again. You actually believe that you're a great coach? God help us. And Art think he's a wise owner? God help us again. And Kahn, you're not helping matters. Your draft picks are not omnipotent.

DT Harmon would be the ideal pick, had he not torn his labrum which is an automatic surgery need at some point, which yinzers fail to face. HE NEEDS surgery, period. 2nd round used on a medium-level WR while ditching our only other WR to end up right where we were last year: an offense with only one decent target, FAIL. A 3rd rounder RB who is probably better than Harris, who was a wasted 1st rounder. Our 4th rounder is not a bad pick, an edge rusher who lacks lean and won't see many sacks. A 5th rounder who will be gassed in about 3 plays. A 6th rounder LB here because of his last name, a Clown-lin nepotism favorite: have right last name, join the team. But Kahn is just a genius.

'23 and '24 drafts: not much to brag about there. And we STILL have done nothing about the QB position. It's 2025. Ben has been retired or washed up for 5 years. Rooney, Clown-lin or Kahn haven't done anything. There latest "fix" is a 41 and 1/2 year-old Rogers. No end in sight.
We have layers of issues. Let me start with the first two because the if the first two were cleared up, the other issues we have would go away. The root cause is Rooney. Rooney is in a time warp where he operates the team like it's the early 1990's. He is very very much the anchor weighing this franchise down now. He inserts himself into things he's not knowledgeable enough to handle properly. The NFL doesn't operate the same any more. Bad facility, smallest coaching/scouting staff in the league. Rooney is root cause to all our Steeler suffering.

Next..because of Rooney, he keeps retaining a fraud coach in Tomlin. Tomlin has always been a fraud. He got his one Super Bowl using Cowher's players and coaches. Once those guys left, Tomlin hasn't done a damn thing. We win regular season games because of the Steelers culture of defense and timely running of the ball. Tomlin is a cheerleader; he brings no X's & O's knowledge to the game. Tomlin was hired off of his fake expertise of the secondary. Yet, in his entire head coaching tenure, Tomlin has not gotten a single legit drafted cornerback. If..Porter pans out, he would be the first. And because of Tomlin fraudness, he is constantly out coached when we make a playoff appearance. Tomlin inserts himself into the draft process as well..selecting bust players like Najee Harris, Kenny Pickett, Artie Burns, Terrell Edmonds. I can go on and on with selections of Players where Tomlin exerted his push to get these players and they turn out to be bust.

We can't accurately assess the job that Khan is doing because of the input of Tomlin. I personally think, when all things are considered, Khan is doing a good job. But he has one hand tied behind his back because he has to listen to Tomlin.

To try and find a bright side, after the compensatory picks are handed out, we should have like 12 draft picks. Which would be most of any team for the 2026 NFL draft. If we don't like how Will Howard is progressing, we will have the ammunition of 12 draft picks, plus probably having to throw in a 2027 first round pick to move up and get a legitimate franchise QB of the future. So there is some hope in that area. But until we get rid of Rooney's operating style and get rid of Tomlin, there will be no real light at the end of the tunnel for us as Steelers fans.

You're the guy that's sitting at the bar that people sit down next to and last about five minutes before they have to get up and move because you talking is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Enjoy your self-love. I have no interest. People like yourself looking for an argument where you can hide behind your computer crack me up. Find someone else to latch onto. I've grown bored. PS, several others read my post and contributed like normal people. Sorry you can't control yourself. Take the last word, dance around your duplex and present yourself with a trophy for winning an internet wizzing contest. Yawn.
You are an odd pr!ck huh?

Nah people like me just fine. I can tell you are fun at parties. A real barrel of twatwaffle.

Giving you good advice is hiding behind a computer?

K weirdo

Not really.... We would have 2 clowns then could almost make a circus

on a side note Fields was sacked 6x on 10 dropbacks in 11 on 11 drills. I think it was first practice so cant read much into it, but that is pretty bad
Agreed. OL is an important part of the game.

You're making quite the assumption that even if they have a high pick, it will translate into a good draft pick.

Add in this next draft isn’t loaded with numorous high end QBs. Some have 2 as possible top level, as usual there will be about 4 next level down. No guarantees of getting a top end QB for us either. Who will develop said QB )asking for a friend) ???

Tomlin should be coaching flag football. Then again, the offense would be too Vanilla.

If Shades coached the U.S. Olympic flag football team they'd lose to Zimbabwe.

You can call me DIC, and thanks for all your great post(s) along the way.

How about the Cleveland game where they took him out and the back up (name escapes me but he was know as the porn stash) wasn’t getting it done……..

Ben re-entered the game late and drove to a victory, all the while on one leg and 1/2 an arm.

Landry jones?

I heard they are negotiations with warriors42 and he told me if he got the job he would make sure they threw so many passes over the middle other teams would be begging for us to throw outside..

Again, why? Why is the majority owner Art Rooney II allowing for this circus?
Rodgers is a shell of himself at 41-1/2 years of age which is ancient in professional sports.
Hell, even in his prime the Packers only got to one SB after the 2010 season and he’s very far away from his prime.
Is this about preserving a meaningless record of non losing seasons? They can’t be serious about thinking they’re a SB contender with this guy.
The Jets were 5-12 last season with him and they had a roster that was not that far off from what we have.
I’d just plan for the future, sign Wentz as the backup and go Mason as the starter with the rookie Howard as the number three.
So the team has a losing season. So what! It helps us more next draft when it matters that we have a top ten pick. Much easier to move up even further than if we finish in the Tomlin mushy middle.
The franchise is so misguided by this owner who has absolutely zero business having majority control. He's run this in the ground and now it’s an embarrassment.
Exactly what circus is Rooney allowing? The same media circus ripping the team for not drafting Sanders even though he was passed over 113 times in the draft? Just because a million click bait articles and media talking heads claim the team is a mess, doesn't make it so.

Have you seen Wentz play the past few years? That's what you would want on the team?

I don't totally disagree with your thoughts, but the media, analysts and some fans are the ones turning it into perceived circus for those watching ESPN. I expect the owners and coaches know exactly what's going to happen and have planned for it happening since before Wilson signed with the Giants.

Going into this season with Mason as QB #1 may excite some, but I'm not going to lose sleep over the likelihood that Rodgers will be QB 1 this season. We know what we will get with Mason. He's a good kid, and I wish him the best, but he's proven to be little more than an above average backup in the league at best.

Rodgers has a regular season record of 126-46 over the last 10 years. Rodgers also played last year one season removed from a serious achilles injury and with the Jets. I love that people seem to think he sucks now because the Jets didn't win. Does anyone ever win with the Jets? Besides, he was playing better than our QBs by the end of the season last year once he had time to better condition and get game time after recovering.

I may be in the minority of fans, but I hope he signs. Maybe it amounts to nothing more than another 500 season, but he's at least been a winner most of his carer and maybe some of his desire will rub off on a few of the other players and coaches going forward.

I rooted against him a lot at Green Bay, but respected his talent. If he signs with the Steelers, I'll be 100% in favor of him as the team's QB while he's there.

You're making quite the assumption that even if they have a high pick, it will translate into a good draft pick.
With our 20th pick, we ended up with pure crap in 2022: Kenny Pickett. Worse than having no pick in the 1st round. We wasted 2 entire years on that bum. Word is he might not even make the cut in Cleveland this year. Pure crap. That is what Art and Clown-lin gave us; worse than not having a 1st round pick. Heck, half our 1st rounders were worse than not having a pick: Artie Burns, Broderick Jones, Pickett, Claypool (not in the 1st but was our 1st draft pick chosen), Devin Bush, Jarvis Jones, Evander Hood, etc. What in the F--- is going on here? Our draft picks just s--- s---. No wonder we can't win a single playoff game.

You must have missed this post idiot.

Didn’t miss your asinine post #782

Was simply chatting with a poster other than you ya freakin knuckle dragging moron, excuse for a poster with a legitimate thought.

My reading comprehension is fine, just wish my eyes had never crossed that absolute trash that is your spew such as post 782.

But I’ve yet to see you ever make a solid point.

This post was just simply dumb…even for your extremely lower standards it lowered the standard.a hard task so slow clap for that you imbecile.

Great post

The key factor to having all that draft capital and all signs pointing to another attempt at replacing Ben with the next franchise QB is indeed that Art Nutting has chosen to keep Tomlin in place.

Does Tomlin really deserve a chance to ruin the next potential franchise QB with his conservative archaic schemes?

Unfortunately handing that 3 year extension in an attempt to get Shades to 200 has further stuck the franchise in GHD cycle. The timing of needing a franchise QB but Mike having multiple years left on his contract is poor to say the least.

They should wait for that franchise QB attempt until Tomlin is gone OR at a minimum get an X and O up and coming OC on the staff to be Mike’s heir after this contract. Let said OC do the hiring of his QB coach (likely heir to the OC position) AND then allow said OC and QB coach to revamp the offense and run the offense and the development of drafted QB sans ANY impedance/intrusion/obstruction from Mike and his broken schemes.

I simply don’t think Mike or Art are capable of the last paragraph so best of luck to that poor ******* aka next highly drafted QB next year.

And since they don’t have that ability they should simply farm/grow picks until Mike and Co are gone. Take every extra pick next year and trade for higher round picks in the following draft. Rinse and repeat til Mike is gone. Then the incoming HC will have some capital to start fixing this mess. The 3,3,4,5,6 would likely be multiple firsts at that point.

… they will keep swinging for the fence as every club should. As the draft and watching those players is my small enjoy in comparison to the end of season dissatisfaction I am sure I will once again see as the normal substandard standard.

You also have to remember just because the fans get their wish of a reboot it doesn’t mean the next coach will be any more competent. Which Rooney makes that choice?

As I hope for a coach reboot I am hoping for a Mr. Rooney reboot. As I am not convinced his mindset changes in the aftermath.

For me it isn’t the amount of picks the club has it is who is steering the ship. The right captain can do more with less, what we have now is less with less but hey look at this new throwback uniform.

Shades has a job for life as long as Deuce is running the team. The only way he leaves is in the unlikely event he retires.
Deuce simply isn't going to be the Rooney who lets go their Rooney Rule hire, either by firing him or letting his contract run out.
Our only hope is for Deuce to retire and another Rooney to take over who less enamored with "Never a losing season" and getting blown out in wild card games.
I'm just resigned to settling in and seeing how bad it gets.
