Beat the teams you are supposed too! Boston, Flyers, Caps and Isles play each other a lot in the time Pens get Devils and Buffalo. Time to gain some points!

Not impressed so far tonight. The Pens have easily gotten the better of the play, but they are looking for the perfect shot all over the place, passing way too much and it has lead to some turnovers. Jarry has been a little shaky at times as the Sabres have hit the post twice that I saw.

If they ratchet up the intensity a bit, this isn’t close. Kinda looks like an exhibition almost.

I avoided posting here so far because I keep hoping they will turn it on. We are letting a six win team, who's best player is out for the game, hang around.

I hope Sully is ripping some new holes this intermission.

Finally settled down and played as they should and beat a team they should. Showed some physicality too. Good win.

Kapanen and Malkin are finally clicking.
Tanev can fly too. Tanev and the bottom six are speedsters. I wish they would play a dump & chase scheme with that speed. The young guys like to play scrappy to battle the pucks on the boards.

I’ll say this as sloppy as the Pens can be. I think the Penguins have some of the best hockey stick handling. Even the supporting players seem to have that touch. A lot of nhl teams don’t do it too well like the Pens. The team is talented

My favorite part of that whole game was seeing Reese lay a dirty hit on the boards, then turtle up and take his beating when called on the carpet. Then, in the box, he takes his helmet off and looks all Emo and everything made sense. I LOL'd.

A couple inches here an there...and were talking about how bad a game Jarry played..

0-0 against Buffalo after 1 period. They had a few good chances but almost no rebounds or 2nd chances.

Sabres playing a tight game. Not a lot of room to create. This one has been boring so far.

Pens defense getting a little leaky now, Sabres getting some great looks. DeSmith has been equal to the task thus far.

That was nice. Pens finally get a PP and Guentzel cashed in 13 seconds later. Nice Goal!!

Not sure how Buffalo left him absolutely alone in front of the net but I'll take it.

They have Boston Mon&Tues in Pittsburgh. We will see if they're really getting good or not shortly.

It was a very good game on many levels. Very few mistakes, great puck control, amazing defense, solid. Probably the best game played this year.

Monday and Tuesday will tell us a lot. The Bs are falling. If we play like we can, and take those two games, we stay relevant. My concern is that the Bs will be up to play us. Just win. We are legit contenders IMO. Now is the chance to show it.
