Ok you Tomlin apologist

Only Ed calls it like it is. Well Mark Madden does too. Most of them are softball lightweights on calling out Tomlin's folly.

They all are scared their Steelers media access will be taken away.

They write with that always on top of their mind.

Scared of who? That's censorship. Ed Bouchette calls it like it is when needed and he's been there for years. Mark Madden has ripped Tomlin in the past with the facts on his side.

Jim Wexell? Complete brown nose. Bob Labriola? Maybe the best writer of the bunch. He's not deep on football content, but he knows the Rooney's well. If Bob goes negative, it could very well signal a change that the iceberg has officially hit the Titanic.

Well the ship has already taken in water, leaving the crew just wondering how long until Rooney realizes the captain won't guide us to safety.

Better strap in muddy waters ahead.

Local Pittsburgh radio this morning is saying that Ben should have been more animated on the sideline when told to take a seat. They are advocating Ben should have been insubordinate to the coach. They do not believe Tomlin or Ben.

They say that if Tomlin actually said to Ben what Tomlin said he said, and what Ben said he said, then Tomlin should be fired this morning. But they don't believe it. They think Ben told Tomlin to leave Dobbs in until they fell behind.

They are putting this on Ben.

They say nothing else makes any sense. It is Ben's ego.

I say.......Did saving the time outs make any sense? Was that on Ben too??

Un-Freakin-believable

Totally ridiculous! Why do these guys continue to try and protect this incompetent coach?

The Trib this morning doesn't have a single article focused on the Tomlin debacle. Rather they have an article making fun of fans (which they have one of these every week) for wanting a change.

I think once the game gets out of hand Sunday sn organized voice of displeasure needs to be heard on the national broadcast.

Tomlin let Oakland burn a minute of clock before finally calling a TO after an incomplete pass. Sounds more and more ridiculous every time I see that posted. How anyone could defend Tomlin after that, I don't understand. We really could have used that extra minute 1st and 10 from their 22.

Cuz he's black

I don't think it is across the board issue. Maybe one individual. Or two.

I would buy that there is a Ben hatred more-so in comparison.

Between this and his explanation of his clock (mis)management, Tomlin reminds me of Trump and his alternative reality.

No politics please. There is a forum for that.

Its been a long time coming. The old he won with Cowher's players rang true. He won with Cowher's players and he hasn't done **** since those guys have left. Ben carries this team on his shoulders and we got a glimpse of our past and our future without him when Dobbs was at QB. It was literally like watching Kordell Stewart out there, straight hopeless.

Appreciate Ben Roethlisberger. I hate that we wasted the prime of his career with this coach who looks good because we can win hero ball with great players but lose when coaching matters.

Fire the coach, blow it up.

Unfortunately, I feel that Tomlin will be here for the next franchise QB to take over.

Yep the fan is saying no way Tomlin holds a HOF QB out, that Ben didn't want to go back in until the last drive. Hahaha

We have some of them on this board, why should the fan be any different?

I’m comparing Tomlin to Trump, Tomlin is the subject, it’s football related.

So that makes it non-political. As soon as you compared Tomlin to Trump, you made it political. Leave it in the politics thread.

Nearly HALF of the team wanted to stand Ike Taylor! Tomlin used his potion of power and influence to shut their views down by asking for team unity. There should be no vote on one's beliefs, and by being the head coach he clearly affected those who wanted something else.

Anything a head coach does publically can affect his football team. Politics is the third rail of coaching and speaking of that, I think you're better off not going to the politics board. Stay confined to the football only forum.

You keep telling yourself that, but provide the truth to that HALF the team wanted to stand. Link please.

No clueless, the coach reminded the players they are a team, not an individual and whatever they were to do to do it collectively as a team. That’s all he did, nothing else. Other than the pea brained idea that you keep harping on, you have no facts to support it. The TEAM voted to stand in the tunnel, not Tomlin, Rooney or any other person not a player. Al asked the TEAM captains and was allowed to be in front so as to see the colors. He’s earned that right, the captains believed so as well. Only the field flag ceremony interrupted Al and the rest of the team from being together. Something the photogs were all fully aware and took advantage of in this media crazed society we are in.

“Politics is the third rail of coaching”.....Lord you are pathetic, today EVERYTHING is the third rail of politics. Why don’t blame coaching on injuries, dropped passes, missed kicks, weather, officiating .....el nino, hurricanes, wildfires You are a broken record.

I visit causally but don’t frequently comment on the politics board because everyone has an opinion to their own beliefs, who am I to tell a voter (even you) otherwise. As to fully articulate an argument, you’ve shown constantly on this forum how not to. Showering sentence fragments and misinformation to make a third grade grammar teacher have an aneurysm.

Mark Madden is a loudmouthed, sensationalist buffoon.

Bouchette and PPG are mouthpiece-for-the-org. drivel.
