Ok you Tomlin apologist

Translation is, it’s just the raiders, we got this in the bag so Ben rest up for next week.

Yep, I guarantee Gruden and the Raider's players took that as total disrespect too. Rightfully so.

That game against Patriots is pointless at this point. If they win, big ******* deal. This team is going nowhere.

The point is I really think Tomlin thought he could rest a hurt but healthy enough to play Ben and have his defense win the game against a 2-10 team.

If the Raiders were 10-2 and the same situation occurred, Ben is probably out there at the start of the second half.

It's no wonder the Steelers struggle against weaker teams, as Tomlin appoaches them in an arrogant manner.

Ben to retire and the wins to diminish.

Really the truthful answer and reality.

Everyone saw today what this team looks like without Ben, won’t take much of that for Coach Cliche to be fired

And THAT is why Rooney is the real ******* here.

Maybe but really would you want it to be run any other way? It is what makes us special
even if it is maddening at times. The Rooney way has given us six so far. I don’t want them
the way the cheats got theirs. I don’t want a Dan Snider or Al Davis or Jones? I don’t.

These coaches put linebackers on wideouts for gods sake. They actually did everything possible today to put the team in the best possible position to LOSE.

It looked like a gimmick from the get go.

I think they fire Butler and Porter this offseason and give Tomlin another chance.

I don’t know if Tomlin is a bad coach. But i am absolutely certain he is not a good coach. Tomlin adds nothing to this team. He does nothing to make them better. His alleged expertise is DBs and that’s the biggest dumpster fire on this team since Ike and Polamalu retired.

Tomlin is the Joe Flacco of coaches. Surround him with enough talent and he won’t screw up too bad and you can win. But he’s not going to make anybody better.

Recognizing that you have gotten all you are going to get out of a coach and taking action does not make you the Pats, Cowboys, or Redskins. Should we just let every coach stay for 20 years with no regard to performance just to keep “the steeler way”? The Packers **** canned their long tenured coach, does that make the Jerry Jones or Snyder?

Tell yourself that, but yearly results paint a different picture.

Butler will get fired after the Steelers miss out on the playoffs.

I think we got all we were going to get out of this numbskull after year 2.

Ben needs to do what Rogers did to McCarthy, throw Tomlin under the bus in the media, get the media loving Brown to join in. I hate the new school going to the media with your beef thing, but I think the only way Tomlin gets fired and we salvage some of Ben's last years is for the francise to be publicly embarrassed by its stars over Tomlin.

The Rooney way is not working anymore with this coach, with only three playoff wins in the past seven seasons.

The underachieving and inconsistencies years after year have to end.

Tomlin's track record since the last Super Bowl appearance would be acceptable for many franchises/fan bases but I'd like to think the Steelers and Rooney's expect higher standards.

They need to make Munchak Assistant HC so he can't be poached......

New generation Rooney is happy with money and money,

it is looking that way now.

Except for Munchak there is not a highly qualified assistant with previous coordinator experience on staff . Wonder why ? Do you think Tomlin is respected around the league for his coaching acumen and do you believe others don;t see his obvious weakness and not want to coach under a guy that is that limited . No wonder garbage like Porter and Butler have stayed on the job for so many years. Think a great coordinator like Norv Turner would work for Tomlin, hell he already turned us down before.

I don't think Ben will play more than 1 more year if Tomlin is back next season. This might even be it.

Unfortunately, the Rooney's will say so long to Ben. Tomlin isn't going anywhere.

Tomlin will leave when he wants to, and not before. Count on it.

Nope. When the participation trophies ends with Ben's retirement he will be let go. Write it down.

Hilton blew the coverage on the winning TD. Tough couple of games for him. No excuses for this loss. None. Not the field, Ben getting hurt. Would like less bubble screens and more play action. Plenty of blame goes to Tomlin. At least Balt lost.

The secondary as a whole seems to have slipped the last few games; even Haden has looked bad at times. I think the defense is deficient in coaching not talent.

TOMLIN reached his expiration date years ago. He hasn't improved this team and in the last 4years, about the time he started "tweaking" the D, it has slid even further down the proverbial slope. OWNER's can see this and momentum is building internally but how much will it take. ONE thing CMVLT has going for him is the "ROONEY" rule and that has kept him here longer than his ability has. ADD in the HOF QB bailing him out continuously........

Only way to save this team is to fire Butler now. And then Tommy to keep his hands off the D.

ST coach can follow him out the door.

But that won't happen. Nothing noteworthy. Steelers will squeeze one more win out against the bungles, but will miss the playoffs.

A few coaching changes but participation trophy Tom will be back for another year of mediocrity.

I know the script, I have read it. I know the ending of the story, it is obvious.

What flow on offense was he trying to go with?

That quote alone should get him fired on the spot.

I’m with you. Without Ben there is no flow. Maybe he was watching a different game. The game I was watching didn’t depict any ******* flow.

Definitely, a portion of the time some of those guys get caught on whose guy is who as the player in question slips from one part of the zone to the next..........OUR "D" SCHEME has been figured out EONS ago and the tweaking fingers hasn't helped, at all.!!!!!!

Salute the nation

Steelers could lose every one of the remanding games and I still wouldn't be confident they would fire that clueless ******.

No, that ain't gonna happen. Shades would need to be below .500 for at least two consecutive years before they'd consider it.
