I like it at 4 teams - mainly because 8 adds even more games to the schedule. Tougher on their young bodies. Take OSU for example, back when, they'd normally have one bowl game after the last game of the season if they played well. Now they added a conference playoff, then they added the championship playoff - so that is possibly two more games. Plus, I think we all need to remember that they ARE students and have to go to class, study and do at least average with their grades. Most of the kids won't go to the NFL, and same may go and not make millions, so they need to get the degree. In a perfect world, 8 teams would add more fun quotient and TV dollars to the schools (while the athletes get zip) and be fairer for the 8 teams involved. But it ain't worth it IMHO for the players.
